    Very well done. Great video quality, camera angles, and explanation. Thank you. I would recommend adding the word "bearing" to your video title to make it easier to find. When I did a simple search for "sonata bearing" your video didn't come up in the results, and it's probably the best one I've seen for this repair.

    Well planned demonstration. I will do a second viewing prior to foxing my Hundai. Thanks.

    Thanks for this. I'll be jacking mine up today to see if the bearing is bad. After watching this I sure hope it's just a bad rotor.
    Please add your amazon tool links to your video description.

    When did you hear the noise? My Sonata is making a grinding noise which is coming from the front, and I can feel it in the pedal when it starts grinding, but it’s only when I brake a lower speeds, I replaced the pads and rotors in the front cause my initial thought was that is must be the brakes since it’s grinding. However that didn’t fix it. So I’m just wondering if you had the same problem or if your sonata was just making noise while driving in general? I also checked the sliders to and they all seem to be fine, so i know it’s not the brakes, at least the pads, rotors, and calipers. Great video by the way!

      I am just going to throw this out there because I had a similar issue. I swore the grinding noise was coming from the front and replaced both front rotors and the brake pads. Noise was worse. Turned out to be the rear rotor and it was really bad. Other than that I am not sure what it could be if it only happens when applying the brakes. Hope this helps.

      @@s33therfan I haven’t checked the rear brakes yet but I’ll definitely try that! Thanks for the reply!

    Wouldn't it have been easier just to buy the whole new set up

    Air hammer is way to go. Just did two myself on my Sonata this past year took about 25 mins per side combo air impact and air hammer with rounded nose….bearing came out with help from air hammer. Now sounds like I have rear bearing will be doing soon.

    This is an amazing video , so this noise is due to the front wheel bearing part ?

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It was probably one of the loudest. Also it came out of no where , no warning. Thank you for watching.

    I have another question pls, some say not to lubricate the knuckle before putting the bearing back in.. But i see you lubricate your knuckle and hub... So I'm guessing you have to?

    • @s33therfan
      @s33therfan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. You really do need to grease or lubricate the bearing/hub or knuckle. Not only are these bearings/hubs are difficult to install but removing a rusted seized bearing is even more fun. The bearing/hub is a press fit , even if greased it will not move or spin. Even freezing the hub and applying grease it is a tight press in. Thank you for your feedback
