That is absolutely insane for something as routine as a caliper bracket. I wish the people who designed these had to work on them.

I noticed on my car kia sportage if you dont remove enough of the rust inside hub hole the new hub wont last long before you need to replace again i had to sand a long time yesterday so remember this. And torque required is quite difficult so make sure tighten with a long hand tool . 😄 Good luck i fixed this on my kia sportage with error c1207 and remember to remove and clean abs sensor whole 💪😁

It is 100% possible to back out the brake caliper bracket bolt with a needlenose pliers but its also pretty fucking tedious.
