The part about "painting the picture of the marriage" is very informative. Apparently, we all have different ideas of what marriage should look like depending on how we were brought up.

I like Cynthia’s attitude towards marriage. I have been married for more than 30 years and we went through a similar situation financially like you and I chose not to discuss it with no one.
