R.A.Salvatore is one of my favorite authors of all time. I’ve been reading his books for about 20 years and he is an auto-buy author for me. For The Legend Of Drizzt books, I * highly* recommend reading them in chronological order. Start with The Dark Elf Trilogy (Homeland, Exile and Sojourn). This takes you back to Drizzt’s birth and childhood, so you really see where he’s coming from. Then move on to The Icewind Dale trilogy ( The Crystal Shard, Streams of Silver and The Halfling’s Gem). That catches you up to his adult life/family/friends and puts you in line to continue reading in publication order. I adore these characters. They are family to me! I hope you love them as much as I do.
Hey Marcy! I'm reading Keep It In The Family by John Marrs, Something Is Killing The Children (graphic short novel) and R.L. Stine's, Party Summer for Summerween. Party Summer is part of Fear Street and should be nice and short.
I picked some books for Summerween and I’ve been reading mostly big books all year so I don’t feel a pull for Tome Topple. But since I’ve pulled the books for Summerween I’m amped to start them so of course by the time the readathon starts, I’ll be out of the mood. Options I’ve set aside: Two Sides to Every Murder After Midnight by Irina Shapiro FantasicLand Always the First to Die The Watchers Mina and the Undead House of Salt and Sorrow Rules for Vanishing Ward D Horror Movie I just bought Jack’s Boys but I think I want to save it for Spooky Season.
this is a great list of options. Fantasticland is great, the audiobook is a whole production, and would be perfect for summerween. I'm reallly trying not to start any of the books on my summerween tbr early 😂
Can’t wait for Summerween! 😍👻
OMG me either. I keep looking at my TBR stack wanting to start it lol
Lois Duncan sparked my love for horror and weird books growing up! I think I might have to reread some of her books this summer.
I just started my first Duncan and I can see why it sparked your interest in horror. I'm really enjoying the writing.
I’ll check out Summer of Fear. Awesome books! Happy Summerween! 📚📚📚📚🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃👍🏻
Hope you enjoy! Happy summerween!
Tome Topple sounds like a great reason to pick up a bigger book! I will need to find the announcement for that and try to take part.
the host is Samantha from Thoughts on Tomes. sorry it took me so long to respond, hope you were able to find her channel

I may have peeked into House of Salt and Sorrows yesterday. 🙈
Where can we find the announcements for these readathons?
oops, I forgot to tag the creators. Summerween is hosted by @gabbyreads and Tome Topple is hosted by Thoughts on Tomes
How to Sell a Haunted House isn't really about a haunted house, so it might work for you!
Oh ok, good to know. Really looking forward to it.
What is tome topple 😅
It's a readathon where you read books that are 500 pages or more.
@@marcyreads oh ok. Is there a certain amount of books you're supposed to try and read?
