    Shelley, can you explain why #4 yarns are different weights? I am making this blanket and am using Mae Maxim Mega Ball and it seems so much thinner than what you've used. Since I get all of my yarn on line (living in the boondocks), how do I know what's heavy and not. Thank you for your answer and PLEASE keep up the good work. I'd be lost without you😅.

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@patriciacurrie7613 it just all depends on the brand and how fibrous it is really. Example - Caron Latte Cakes are a 5 bulky! They seem more like a 3 weight. The reason they are considered 5 bulky is because of the little fibers that poke out of the main strand.
      Other than that I am not sure why the manufacturers choose what they do.

    • @patriciacurrie7613
      @patriciacurrie7613 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      THANKS Shelley. Guess I will continue blindly. Do you maybe know what bulkies work on the Addi?

      @@patriciacurrie7613 I’m not a yarn expert. Sorry! Lol
      Not many bulky yarns work in the machine. It is not a weight of yarn I choose so no, I don’t have a list. That’s a tough question. Depending on where you live the yarn choices are different. My advice…. Don’t order bulky yarn. Unless it is Caron Latte Cakes. 😊

    Hi Shelley. I was wondering - what is your opinion- if I did panels rather than tubes??? For a light weight throw. Here in Florida. Of course, I know the sizes will be different. So have to figure out. And I know there would be a wrong side as well. Just a thought. Yours is gorgeous.
    Oh my, I'm loosing it! You made a tutorial on flat panel throw. Sorry Shelley, I forgot.

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it would be beautiful. I think for this particular pattern you would need to use flat panels with the 22 needle machine. When they are flat they are double the width so it will be just a bit narrower than a 46 needle tube. I bet you could follow the pattern the same. Not 100% sure but I “think” so. 🥰🥰

    Hi Shelley. Beautiful blanket. I'm to try to make it and I have a question. I only have a 48 machine so I was wondering if I should lengthen the blanket to make up for the additional width. If so, maybe an additional row per color? Thank you so much, you're so inspirational to watch.
