I have my addi mounted to a 14.00 tool bench that I bought from harbor freight. It has an opening in the middle for the knitted fabric to fall through. If I am doing something really long and it goes to the floor, I put in into a salad spinner that sits on the floor under the tool bench. It allows the long fabric to spin and not twist up. Works great.

This blanket is for sure among those things. In fact, I've already started with my first baby blanket which will be fall themed in colors and will surely make a cuddler and a hat shaped like a pumpkin to go with it. Love the whole set! I’ve made the Addi bears as well but my ears don’t turn out like yours. Those ears are so dang cute will you be doing a tutorial or can you tell me how you did your bear ears? I can’t wait to see the tutorial on the hat. Thank you so much for showing me how to sew the panels together! I have been looking for a tutorial and yours was great!
Are you sure it’s not the yarn you are using or the tension. Try changing both and if you still don’t like it then you definitely can’t go wrong with the Addi 22. It’s the best machine out of all of them in my opinion. I rarely tuck stitches on it.
@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet I was using red heart medium 4 yarn in colors red and maroon. I wasn't having issues when I first got it that much but then I started trying a strip of a blanket and got 135 in and it started making that noise like it was stripping the gears. Took it all off and totally apart! Put it completely back together and it still is doing the same thing.
@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet I did have it on the middle tension. Tomorrow I'm going to take the machine apart again and try to see how I can fix the clicking sound then I'll try it on the loose setting. Also, yup I have it on the T and not the P
I’m not sure I would take it apart. If you are using a courser feeling yarn medium tension is still to tight. I rarely use tensioners on any of my machines. I hold it very lightly between two fingers. I caution because I really do think it’s most often difficult yarn and tension. But I hope you figure it out. It must be frustrating.
I called it that and then edited it because I thought it was wrong. The braided join is also when you drop stitches when you cast off and then use the dropped stitches to join. It also forms a bigger braid. But much bigger. Thank you so much for telling me. I appreciate it.

@@dianathefiberfan I just hold a little piece around the yarn before it goes into the yarn feeder. To be honest I haven’t used it in at least a year. I only buy yarn that work in the machine now without any assists.
Very nice. Beautiful job with knit machine. I learned so much. Could that seam stitch you do in between panels is a blanket stitch? I ordered a knitter machine but I haven't received it as yet. I am anxious to try anything. I am a crocheter and knitter.

It sure can. Follow the same pattern but do 5 panels. Do a small sample of maybe 3 colour changes and see if you like the length of your rectangle. If not then change your row count and keep the total panel between 195 and approximately 215 rows. Somewhere in there.

The easiest way to take off the waste yarn is to use a US1 or 2 -5 inch Chiaogooo circular needle with a 14 inch cable With socks i just open heel location and place an afterthought heel, to knit decorative fairisle design i use two needles With 1/2 stitches on each. Make great socks fast. great for pre-teen & teenagers to learn , besides adults. Make cash selling homemade sock sets or toys.

That will be the next video to watch and learn from. Thank you again. Happy new year blessings to you! 🎉🤗
Your so sweet! Thank you!
I am so happy you are liking the videos. The cuddle bears are a lot of fun to make.
God bless you in the new year as well!
Very beautiful I’m interested in buying this machine thank you so much.
Where you join the lengths of knitting, it looks like what I know as a herringbone stitch. A very attractive way to join them, looks great!

Sorry if you said on the video, I don't remember you saying what size crochet hook to use for the border? Amazing tutorial! Thank you 😊
I could have easily missed it. It would have been a 5.5 ml I’m sure.
You can use 5, 5.5 or even a 6 and it would be amazing.
Please post it in my FB group of you make one. We would love to see.

I was so excited to make this on my 22 stitch but stitches kept coming off after the 6th time of starting again I gave up lol but I love your pattern only had my machine 2 weeks so still learning xx
Go slower and make sure you use the yarn the your machine loves. Course to the feel yarn (often the cheap yarn) doesn’t work easily.
You will get it. Keep trying! 🥰
you mentioned the static and I noticed you were on carpet which would be contributing to your static issues. Beautiful blanket
Your absolutely right! Thank you🥰

Nice tutorial. Thank you very much for sharing. can 2 ply cotton be used on this machine ?
Sorry, I haven’t tried.
Hello! I'm from Brasil and I Love all your kits! I'd like to know What's the yarn (tex) you use in your machine
I tell you in the video. This is Craftsmart yarn.
Is the waste yarn the same kind of yarn as the craft yarn? 🧶 I love your tutorials! Thank you for all the beautiful creations ♥️
I use whatever scrap pieces of yarn that I have for waste yarn. I keep it the same weight but it doesn’t have to be the same yarn as the project. It comes off.

Hi from a new subscriber. :) This is beautiful work! I love to knit and crochet, and recently got my hand on addi machines so currently trying to find beautiful things you can make with them. This blanket is for sure among those things. In fact, I've already started with my first baby blanket which will be fall themed in colors and will surely make a cuddler and a hat shaped like a pumpkin to go with it. So excited for more videos from you to come!
Thank you so much! I hope you love your new machine! Have fun!

I am finalizing the video for the tutorial as we speak.
I will be up SOON!

I just replied to your comment but I don’t think I attached it to your name. Oops!
Look for it under your comment.
I have the sentro 22 and 48 machines. The 22 is giving me so many issues I'm going to return it. Lol maybe I should have gotten this one?
Make sure the switch on the side of the machine is on circular and not panel knitting. Also make sure that your tension isn’t tight.
Great video, thank you. It is a 'braided join'
I called it that and then edited it because I thought it was wrong. The braided join is also when you drop stitches when you cast off and then use the dropped stitches to join. It also forms a bigger braid. But much bigger.
Thank you so much for telling me. I appreciate it.

How many panels/tubes did you make? I never heard you say. 28:22
At minute 6:37 flashing across the screen. 😊
How do you use the fabric sheet??
@@dianathefiberfan I just hold a little piece around the yarn before it goes into the yarn feeder.
To be honest I haven’t used it in at least a year.
I only buy yarn that work in the machine now without any assists.
I was wondering if I could make a adult blanket for the project
Absolutely! Do 300 rows and as many panels as you like.

Just wondering how many strips you made for the blanket? Thanks
It’s all in the video.
I have the small Sentro which has 19 needles. Will this ruin the design?
@@jenniferroya3606 I don’t think it should. You may have to add one more tube to the width.
I’ve never heard of a 19 needle! Fun!
Very nice. Beautiful job with knit machine. I learned so much. Could that seam stitch you do in between panels is a blanket stitch? I ordered a knitter machine but I haven't received it as yet. I am anxious to try anything. I am a crocheter and knitter.

It is called the mattress stitch. Or invisible join.
Maybe the blanket stitch is also a name for it.

Hi, I'm just watching this video and I love bit but I only have a 48 pin sentro can this blanket be made on this type of machine
It sure can. Follow the same pattern but do 5 panels.
Do a small sample of maybe 3 colour changes and see if you like the length of your rectangle. If not then change your row count and keep the total panel between 195 and approximately 215 rows. Somewhere in there.

@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet did you do 3 panels or 4

33 rows on the king size will make a square. Go from there. 😍

Hi! Loved your video! What size crochet needle is best when doing projects from the Addi machines?
Thanks!
Thank you very much! 🥰
I always use a 4.5 mm but a 3.5 mm or 4 mm also works great.
Hi Shelly. I'm in the UK. You say you used 2½ balls of yarn for each colour. But how many Grams is that. Many thanks.
354 yds in each ball

I am on my 4th column I have read the description and watched the tutorial and I can’t find how many columns of 200 rows I need for a baby blanket
No problem. 11 columns. Sorry if I missed it in the video. 😍
Thank you for asking. I was looking to see if anyone did ask before I did.
Wonderful! 🥰

How many grams of the white and mint Color’s for the blanket

Hi, I’m confused. You put up to make 11 panels but only do 200 rows. Do you mean 11x200. Rows? Thank you. X
Yes
I don't have the small Addi but I'd love to make this on the king size. How many rows of each color? Thanks so much.

How does it take to make it?
Depends how much you do in a day but it doesn’t take that long. A few days.
I have a friend who is expecting in September. It’s her baby shower soon, I will try this out and post on fb the finished result. One question, how many balls of yarn would you say you use for one blanket without the edging?
I believe it’s two full balls of each colour and a small part of a third.
