A nurse always thinks of her shift and whether it’s covered. Not strange at all to me. When something unexpected happens, its among the first things you think of.
Agreed he could have easily shot himself using pillow to muffle sound (he knew he lost her) & possibly to make his wife look guilty... therefore making her pay.
THANK YOU for saying "sometimes its easier to stay" because it's true. When I was in an abusive relationship I was scared for myself, my baby, and my family members. He constantly threatened us and it was easier to stay and keep him happy than to try to leave and risk someone getting hurt bc of me.
Here in 2021 catching myself sayin.... “that’s been heavy on my noggin” .....at the beginning of the intro. Awe, Bailey, you’ve come so far. Love you so much
Me too. If I wore more/different makeup, i was having an affair. If I wanted to lose weight, I was having an affair. After divorce, I found out he had affairs with 6 women thru out our 10 yr marriage.
For sure he was pushing way to much but that doesn't justify ending someone's life. There are soo many other solutions to that. I guess you do have to be a bit disconected to do something like that and on top of it deny it all for ever.
Exactly. Why didn’t she plead guilty but that it was an act of self defense? I guess there was no technical proof of that since he was mostly verbal/mental abuse.
What really makes me sick is that they focused so much on her “affair” and not the fact that her husband was a total POS who systematically broke down this poor women over time. Being a survivor of an abusive relationship, I would never blame her for finally snapping. The only thing that kept me from physically lashing out at my abuser was because I didn’t know what would happen to my dog if I had to go to jail. I couldn’t do that to my dog. We had already suffered so much together at the hands of our abuser. He wouldn’t have know why his mommy was gone.
When I found out that my boyfriend of 7 years died on the morning of Christmas Eve 2018, I called into my work and told them that I wouldn’t be in today and didn’t know when I would be able to return because we have a 18 month old son together. So I don’t think that’s suspicious at all, same with the hand washing. I’m not a nurse but I used to be in the food industry for years and it’s just a habit of mine, always washing my hands. I think that detective just wanted it to be her…
It's like driving to work subconsciously, our brains just put one foot in front of the other sometimes while we're busy thinking about something else...It's weird they found those things suspicious tbh.
I found out my dad died while I was getting ready to leave for school (college) and I went to class because I didn’t know what else to do. It feels weird because sometimes the things the cops or prosecution think are suspicious in these stories are things that it sounds like I may very well do. Life is weird. Grief is weird. “Normal” isn’t really a behavior you can look for in grief or trauma.
10 percent of all murders in the U.S. are committed by women, according to Psychology Today. Many more men kill than do women, is what I make of that. The article did also say that women tend to be stealthier killers than men.
That seems like a very low percentage? I am very intrigued by this low number. I would bet it’s actually higher. Women are smarter, no disputing that 😂
When you said it was suspicious that she called into work I remembered that one night in high school my mom who is a nurse fell down the stairs and ended up breaking some ribs when she was taking laundry down to the washing machine and on the ambulance stretcher she told us to call her work and tell them she wouldn’t make it lol AND they tried to argue with us and say we were lying!!! we told them she would be admitted to the hospital that night and if they wanted to check they were more than welcome. Addicted to these videos!! 👍
Right? I’m an EMT, and when my car was stolen, I called my dispatcher before the police. I needed them to know I wouldn’t be there and why. It’s just instinct!
I dont think she means calling into work is suspicious for every reason, just suspicious cuz she was supposedly in shock when she did so. I'm sorry your car was stolen :(
I kind of understand y she would call work, bc she’s a nurse and if she just doesn’t come and don’t let them know, they are not gonna have a replacement in time, and since she was a childbirth nurse it gets even more complicated when someone just doesn’t show up!
Absolutely. I just had a close family friend pass away in child birth...and went to work while swallowing back tears all day. You really do not have an option in nursing.
@@linziRyan1965 I'm so sorry for your loss. Nursing is brutal when it comes to absences, as well as feeling awful about them being short staffed and the patients ultimately suffer cos things take a lot longer. I think a lot of people can understand her calling in, sort of ...!
I always think about the poor nurse who just wants to go home. Nurses can't leave until they have coverage. Also, you can't just leave because you can be charged with abandonment. As a nurse I know someone who's just worked a 12.5hr shift just wants to go home. If I was in that situation I would probably call in too so they could find a replacement. A semi truck hit me on my way to work one morning. My car was totaled and I was in some shock afterwards. My first call wasn't the police or my husband, I called my work to tell them I wasn't coming in. 🤷
I agree, I'd totally call in to work. I was in the hospital last week and had to have emergency surgery and I was in the ambulance on the phone with my job
Anyone else look back at bailey’s old videos and see how much more talkative and just overall has changed in the years? I love watching her become more comfortable 🧡🧡
“She’s a nurse she could have given first aid” She was a labor & delivery nurse, not a trauma/ER nurse. You don’t get many GSW’s in L&D. Every one reacts to shock differently. That alone isn’t really “enough” to be like “OOP she killed him!” & like she washed her hands. She’s a nurse; they wash their hands ALL the time.
Carole M labor and delivery nurses are still nurses. They go through the same training and education as any other nurse. All nurses know basic first aid.
@@mollyconnolly23 Yes all nurses are trained for first aid, but each department of the hospital prepares you differently. The ER/Trauma nurse is more ready to hop on than the L&D nurse.
@@mollyconnolly23 How much first aid can you really do for a gun shot wound though? Everyone reacts differently in traumatic situations & no matter how long you’ve worked as a nurse nothing could prepare you for that. I’m not sure if you’re a nurse, but even the most seasoned nurses can sometimes freeze up in an emergency situation
@@mollyconnolly23 not necessarily true. My husband works as an RN in the emergency department at a level 1 trauma center. All the worst traumas come to his emergency room. Only the trauma certified nurses are allowed to work on those patients. And many nurses specialize in certain areas.
I can see being in shock and not giving first aid to a man with a gun shot wound but calling in to work. I'm not a nurse but I'm a dental hygienist. It is engraved in our identity to not leave them hanging and to be professional. Not just anyone can just walk in and replace us. In college we were SCREAMED at for less.

She did a vid on Gypsy Rose case, and another sub mentioned Bailey's Gypsy Rose vid, so I have been here for like 12 hours now, just watching more!!!! Haha! Thank goodness for weekends!
In regards to her calling into work while in shock, it was one something she could do that probably made her feel more in control and grounded in the situation, also she could have just been working on auto piolet. Also yeah for a gun shot to the head I don't think there's much she could have been able to do and probably not moving him or moving him as little as possible could have also been seen as first aid, moving him improperly could of made things worse.
I was carving up a chicken for dinner, my husband Wilbur walks in in a jealous rage. "You been screwin the milkman", and he kept on screamin "you been screwin the milkman". Then he ran into my knife, he ran into my knife ten times.
I literally yelped in joy at the punishment verdict like I'm sorry she did it but .... She did it for her kids and like I am so glad she didn't go to prison. She didn't have the dark motivations of so many other killers we know about. She just shouldn't be in prison, she isn't a danger to society
Personally, the husband reminds me of my grandpa and he shot himself in the leg and made it look like my grandma did it. He was abusing her for years. He ran over her legs with his car, he held a shot gun to her multiple times, he was always accusing her of cheating, he choked her and so many other things. My grandma finally got to a point where she found a safe way to leave. That's when my grandpa shot himself and my grandma went to jail for 3 months until her trial and they found her innocent. The only reason she was found innocent was because she had an alibi, she wasn't even in the same city at the time and the fact that they held her in jail was freaking ridiculous. Other than that it looked so convincing and all of the evidence lined up to look like someone else shot him. But I'm willing to admit that I'm biased, and my judgment is based on personal experience and it might not apply to this situation.
this is why i hate when people say "if it was a man" bs. like there soo many men who go unpunished and lot of innocent women getting punished but still go off i guess
Exactly what I thought. He said something like "you're going to regret this". I bet he killed himself and made it look like she did it to punish her and frame himself as a victim.
@@goldeelocz I know this is really late but thank you thank you that's exactly what I was thinking because they never discussed that in the trial also where were the kids at the time he what shock somebody had to hear that gunshot no way nobody didn't

I sort of feel like he staged it to frame her and that was what he meant when he said "you have no idea what you've done". He managed to control her life even after he died, it was sort of like his final act of revenge Edit: thank you for 1K likes🥺
you’re literally my favorite 🙌🏻 and is it bad that every time i hear about lady killers im immediately like “im sure she had a good reason” before i even hear the details lmaooo
I feel like he possibly could have shot himself in an attempt to ruin her life, put her jail, and the kids wld be taken all outta spite for the affair. Since he made the comment "you have no idea what you've done " it made me think that. He may not have meant for it to be a deadly shot but either way it would have made things difficult for her which in my opinion was the goal
Exactly he could have done that I mean he was crazy. The only thing that's weird in my opinion is the morning run lol. I mean unless someone goes run in the morning often I feel like it would be weird yk
Personal anecdote: I’ve done CPR training at my work and the first thing we do after determining the person is unconscious and needs CPR is to pick a specific person to call 911 and you ask them do you understand? Because they could be in shock!! When my dad I was in a total shock that I couldn’t even walk for a few minutes. When it’s a loved one, it hits hard. That’s partially why doctors and nurses shouldn’t practice on their family members. And you’re right like what could she have done to help him? He was shot in the head. The most she could do is apply pressure
Please, please, please; do an episode on Aliayah Lunsford. I personally knew and babysat this little girl before she disappeared, and her story deserves to be heard, because outside of the small community that it happened in, pretty much no body has heard of it. I haven't kept up with the case in the last several years, but last I had heard, her mother or her mothers boyfriend had killed her I believe and her body still hasn't been found.

I was in an abusive relationship and that's the #1 question people ask.. "why did you stay?" It actually makes me angry. Because no one truly knows what I went through but I loved him and believed he could change. Nothing about it is easy and I was lucky enough to be able to get away
You also don’t see it as abuse at the time, I personally noticed myself becoming really accustomed to some really negative emotions and behaviours , and believing they are just temporary bumps in the road 🥴
I feel like it’s really possible he intentionally made it look like she killed him... maybe not. Either way, I’m kinda ok with her getting off on probation, he was hella abusive.

A nurse always thinks of her shift and whether it’s covered. Not strange at all to me. When something unexpected happens, its among the first things you think of.
What if it was the husband all along,
He did give her a warning.
“You have no idea what you just did”
I agree with you
Agreed he could have easily shot himself using pillow to muffle sound (he knew he lost her) & possibly to make his wife look guilty... therefore making her pay.
I think it was him- the 48 hours episode on this case convinced me she was innocent
I was thinking the same thing!!

For sure he was pushing way to much but that doesn't justify ending someone's life. There are soo many other solutions to that. I guess you do have to be a bit disconected to do something like that and on top of it deny it all for ever.
I think he deserved it 🤷🏼♀️
Exactly. Why didn’t she plead guilty but that it was an act of self defense? I guess there was no technical proof of that since he was mostly verbal/mental abuse.
@@supreme_aset777 no one deserves death, that is unjust, do criminals deserve to be put on death row?
What really makes me sick is that they focused so much on her “affair” and not the fact that her husband was a total POS who systematically broke down this poor women over time. Being a survivor of an abusive relationship, I would never blame her for finally snapping. The only thing that kept me from physically lashing out at my abuser was because I didn’t know what would happen to my dog if I had to go to jail. I couldn’t do that to my dog. We had already suffered so much together at the hands of our abuser. He wouldn’t have know why his mommy was gone.
So sad. I’m sorry that happened to you and I hope you found happiness

Ummm out of context but ok
When I found out that my boyfriend of 7 years died on the morning of Christmas Eve 2018, I called into my work and told them that I wouldn’t be in today and didn’t know when I would be able to return because we have a 18 month old son together. So I don’t think that’s suspicious at all, same with the hand washing. I’m not a nurse but I used to be in the food industry for years and it’s just a habit of mine, always washing my hands. I think that detective just wanted it to be her…
I’m so sorry for your loss! ❤
It's like driving to work subconsciously, our brains just put one foot in front of the other sometimes while we're busy thinking about something else...It's weird they found those things suspicious tbh.
I’m so sorry for your loss
I found out my dad died while I was getting ready to leave for school (college) and I went to class because I didn’t know what else to do. It feels weird because sometimes the things the cops or prosecution think are suspicious in these stories are things that it sounds like I may very well do. Life is weird. Grief is weird. “Normal” isn’t really a behavior you can look for in grief or trauma.
Food for thought: Is there few lady killers because it's rare or because they haven't been caught🤔🤔🤔
Women are smarter, no disputing that 😂
We are really good at getting blood out of stuff. Just saying.
Maria Saucedo 😍😘
Mainly just the lack of women murderers, but maybe some females hid it behind self defense and other things.
Anybody who is a nurse knows that calling in to work and washing your hands aren't suspicious behaviors.
Right? I’m an EMT, and when my car was stolen, I called my dispatcher before the police. I needed them to know I wouldn’t be there and why. It’s just instinct!
I called in to the supervisor on shift when I was patient in the ER
I dont think she means calling into work is suspicious for every reason, just suspicious cuz she was supposedly in shock when she did so.
I'm sorry your car was stolen :(
I came here for this comment. I work with nurses and this is very normal behavior for someone in the medical field.
@@jordanwebb2540 I got it back by the evening :) only the hubcaps were gone

😂
I KNOW RIGHT
“She’s a nurse she could have given first aid”
She was a labor & delivery nurse, not a trauma/ER nurse. You don’t get many GSW’s in L&D. Every one reacts to shock differently.
That alone isn’t really “enough” to be like “OOP she killed him!” & like she washed her hands. She’s a nurse; they wash their hands ALL the time.
i’m sorry but the you don’t get many gws in lnd i lost it 😭😭😭
Carole M labor and delivery nurses are still nurses.

So with that probation are the jury saying “don’t do it again” !! 👈😝
as they should
AGREED
ikr, seems fair to me!!
Exactly lol

That could be, but I think that frase he said was just him going behind her back to the attorney and trying to take the kids.
