Nice video. It’s a great boot and I got a little addicted. I started with a ash gray pair and fell in love with them instantly (they look fantastic with black pants), a couple weeks later I purchased the black and the olive ones and finally a brown pair. So I have four pairs now and I love them all.
I tend to wear my 3sixteen pair more they are bit more chunky but the Goodyear welt its more water resistant. That being said the OL boots are a bit more sleek
I love how informative and unbiased this review was and how you were able to discover all the quirks of the boot through consistent wear - amazing video!
I have had mine for a number of years and love them! been trying Josepht maro boot. seems fine for the price point. I would personally pay the extra to have the real thing
Where did you buy your Camion boots? the leather part of the zipper ripped for mine as i pulled it up too and SSENSE refunded me 10%, cost barely 12$ cad to remake one at the cobbler
I got them from a local boutique. I'm not overly worried about it. No one see the zipper when I wear them. Thanks for the recommendation. Ill look into the repair
I love your reviews! I also live in chicago and thinking about visiting notre this month to see if they have camion boots. btw where did you get your glasses from? i love them
I'm not sure notre carry's Our Legacy any more but give it a try. I know SVRN carry's them. Appreciate the love. My glasses are JMM the style is called the Julien
Hey James thanks for the content - I was wondering if your familiar with Armando Cabral boots and if so your opinion on quality - looking to maybe acquire a pair.
They seem cool. Tod Snyder sells them so they have to be at least somewhat good. I wish they talked about the construction of the boots more but seem cool.
@@JamesHerlihy yeah that’s what I was thinking, their hiding something - made in Italy without any specifics could mean anything. Might as well say Made in some dudes garage.
@@JamesHerlihy well they were on the Allen Edmonds site for like 1/2 off - so not full commitment lol 😂 hey on another note - you might be the guy to know but on the Levi’s 66 you like so much how do they fit compared to the 47s - do they taper some - I got a pair of the 150th and they don’t fit anything like Levi’s I remember from the 90s
As far as I know they are a goodyear welt construction, why you said blake? I asked to our legacy, 2022 collection. Also to me they definitely aren’t a summer boots, leather is thick. I am in southern europe though so that might explain differences if you are in a colder climate
My winter gets to avarage -10 Celsius. Leather is way thinner than something I would wear during the winter. I guess I would say more of a dress boot leather than a work boot leather my apologies. Regarding Construction, someone said they were Goodyear welted too. That would blow my mind for a few reasons. There no stitching on the welt it self. Water resistance is terrible. And I can see the stitching in the sole but not the welt. I could be totally wrong but until I see they ripped apart il going with Blake. I have ALOT of Goodyear welted boots "rm Williams, JM Westin, Alden, viberg, trickers, Edward green. And I can see the welt and construction. I really appreciate the conversation I'll be at Our legecy retailer today and will ask
Take this for what it is worth, but the camion boot may not even be Blake stitched, seen a video of it being deconstructed, and it was clearly cemented :( . The stitching only connects the vibram outsole to the midsole, not to the insole like a true Blake stitch, essentially the stitching is just for looks.
Already looking forward to this guy blowing up in a little bit. Great content especially as mens styling becomes more top of mine for people this age
Thanks for the support

You went crazy! Can go wrong with an amazing boot.
Happy New Year, James. I always enjoy your content.
Happy new year!
This type of boot was worn a lot in the 60s, often with bellbottoms.
Styles always come back!
I’m so torn between the black Camion or Black 3sixteen! What is better for year round (wearing on a night out, date, or dressing up)

Great video as usual man, your reviews are always so insightful and down-to-earth that it makes them trustworthy hahaha
Thank you!
Question, for a daily city boot choice, will it last long for its price? And also are there other alternatives you can suggest

What boot is pictured at 3:39? Insightful vid as always.
They are diemme chelsea boots really like there stuff
Happy New Year man, keep it up!
Happy new year!
Throughly enjoyed this, James. Wondering if you've experienced any squeaking in your camions
Thank you!! i havent had that problem yet.

May I ask is this the olive leather (dark green) or woodstock leather (Brown)? Cuz brown looks quite light on the website
These are the olive
Thanks!@@JamesHerlihy
Happy New Year, dude!
Thank you! You as well.
how do you take care of the camion’s + clean them?
I just use a wet rag when needed. I haven't moisturized them yet.

@mikegraves3497 yeah at that price point it would be hard for me to pull the trigger without knowing those things

@mikegraves3497 I don't have the 66 I have the 71 and the 54. I think the 1947 are more relaxed.
hey where are those green cargo pants from? love the look
They are the jcrew Wallace and barns terrain pants
What jeans are you wearing on the thumbnail ?
That are 1971 Levi's vintage clothing 501. Love them
anyone have a recomendation for a boot with a similar silhouette thats more affordable?
I am not but I believe there's a good subreddit that has good ideas!
Hey there, Thank you so much for doing this video. May I ask what your feet length is in CM?, Would be much appreciated. Cheers!
I don't remember 100% but I be around 26cm
@@JamesHerlihy Thank you so much!
Hey James, do you have any cool men’s clothing boutiques in Chicago?
Yeah for sure. My favorite is independents but there a lot of amazing spots. Mild blend, notre , saint alfreds
Great content as always ❤
Thank you!
Cool orange shirt. What brand and style?
It's a polo rugby shirt. Love it
Always fantastic content
Thank you!

That's great to know! I think when mine are worn out I might send them to the guy who cuts them in half.
Can you share a link to this video? I've been trying to find out if these boots have a shank in the midsole.
@@charliederby4179its on Chinese social media, dude was taking it apart to rep it, don’t think the link would work here 😂😂
