It is an easy installation if you have a garage. I did my JPro and the K1 in the parking lot of our apartment building. These are worth the money and trouble to install. Did mine 2 years ago and I love them both, easily the best upgrade ever for my Jeep.
Great video, I almost feel lucky as I have an 08 (no steering wheel controls) so seems like I just use the top dash buttons for the 07-2010 version:) but your video definitely helped🎉
This was the best tutorial I have seen. Installing this was causing a lot of anxiety. After following this step by step it was super easy!! Awesome job my friend.
You do a fantastic job of actually going step by step. Too many videos like to assume the viewer, “knows” instead of actually “instructing” the viewer. Well done!
I'm glad you made this video. My docs didn't mention anything at all about the sync cables. I followed your procedure and everything went well. I still don't know what the lock/unlock (button?) is all about but apparently I got past it with no issues.
Hey buddy I did like your video , it’s easy to understand and easy to install on my jk , but I do u have question about cluster why we can’t installed yo smother jk
I noticed an error during the steering-wheel switch install that could be dangerous for you: 12:09 clearly shows the left airbag wire originally located above the top left screw that holds the steering wheel cover before you remove it. 14:46 shows the same airbag wire pinched below the top left screw that holds the steering wheel cover after you reinstalled it. Other than that, great video. How do you like the new instrument cluster? Worth the $$$?
You have a really good eye for detail! Fortunately, it’s just deception of the video. You can put it above or to the side because there is a channel that you can’t really see in this video. So, although it looks like it’s getting pinched, it’s not. It’s just resting against the plastic mold where the screw goes through if that makes sense? I didn’t put it in the video, but after securing the screws, I also moved the wires around to ensure they weren’t pinched. And thank you for the compliment! I love the cluster so far and haven’t had any issues with it (knock on wood). So for that, I think it’s worth the money.
Hi do u have to change that button? Mine like your old button but I can see all the functions like yours if u could reply and tell me what is the issue that would be appropriate
Nice video, looks pretty easy to install and setup. I see you had a voice command button and phone button on the original steering wheel. Do they both still work, especially the voice command button since it looks to be completely gone? I have the same original button configuration but since replaced the original head unit with a Kenwood and Maestro unit. I'm thinking I may be able to reprogram the Maestro unit to have the voice command be another button like the small round button on back of steering wheel. Any thoughts?
Sorry for the late reply. It looks like you can no longer use the navigation unless you buy the head unit. For me it wasn’t a concern because I just use Google maps with a phone mount.
I apologize for the late reply. Unfortunately it looks like it disables the navigation and voice command. I’m not sure about setting up any custom settings. I have never used either of them so I didn’t really mind.
I did lose the use of navigation but I never used it anyways. In order to use the navigation you have to buy their head unit, but I haven’t tried the push to talk command feature because I also never used that either. I will check it out here later today and get back to you.
Unfortunately the navigation button is no longer used, and I don’t believe the navigation works anymore unless you buy their head unit. I believe the media menu is switched to one of the back buttons behind the steering wheel, but I will have to double check this.
@@treasuresandadventures that’s alright, thanks for responding at least!! I’m getting an incorrect immobilizer key code, I think that’s what’s causing my wipers to go crazy. But waiting on customer support to sort it out.
What happens if you end up not likening this and you put your original cluster back in after driving on this for let’s say 3000 miles? Does your original cluster show the correct mileage?
I’m actually unsure of that, which is one of the reasons why I hesitated on buying it at first. Now that I have it I don’t see myself ever switching back, but if I were to try, I would just do the syncing sequence in reverse. I’m not sure if that would work but it might just be plug and play back to the original odometer since it’s getting all of its information from the ECU anyways. Tough one to really answer without knowing for sure
phenomenal job with instructions!!!!! going to upgrade the JK asap

Awesome, I’m glad the video was able to help you out.
So, what does the unlock lock mean? Will that be the door lock?
Get the K1 head unit too. The JPro and the K1 complement each other.
best video, shows the installation step by step
Great detailed tutorial
Pro tip, put the buttons in first then the dash. My 14 rubicon only had 2 buttons on the left side so it would have been impossible to set it up.

Great video and well detailed. Thank you!

Great video! So after all this time, is everything still working properly?

Do you still have tire pressure readings?
Do you know how to change from KM to miles? My vehicle miles is set to KM but need it to be in miles. Thx
After having this for a year now, do you have any complaints or concerns? Are you still enjoying it?
Question: did you lose any functionality original to your vehicle? For example, what about the push-to-talk command feature?

nice video, but have you figured out how to use the Nav menu or the media menu? I can get either to do anything? dose it have to plug into the stereo?

Hey I bought same cluster and get it installed this week but the odometer is in km, is there a way to change it to miles?
Thankyou
When you installed this, did you ever have issues with the windshield wipers staying on….???? Mine won’t shut off
No, I did not have this issue. Sorry that I can’t be of help.
@@treasuresandadventures that’s alright, thanks for responding at least!!

Link to buy?
Is there any lag on the tach reading?
Nope, its just as responsive as the stock unit. No lag at all.
Hi great video, thank you, did you pay any import taxes to the US since it comes from China?
Thank you! I didn’t have to pay any import taxes unless it was already included in the total price from carobotor.
@@treasuresandadventures Thank you for your feedback!
@@jimcobm3 anytime!
Website to buy the same man ???
Can I put this on a 2014 two doors
Yes, they work for both from my understanding.
Someone knew the pass code to reset factory ? Thanks
How bout the miles
The miles are stored in the computer, so when you sync everything over, it shows the correct mileage.
What happens if you end up not likening this and you put your original cluster back in after driving on this for let’s say 3000 miles? Does your original cluster show the correct mileage?

Seriously. Their customer service sucks. Don't respond to emails, requests, nothing. THEY ARE A JOKE. DONT BUY THEM !
Fortunately, I haven’t had to deal with customer service, and hoping I never have to. So far so good with my unit though.
They absolutely SUCK! great product but if you run into a jam GOOD LUCK. Ive been trying to get a hold of them for week still nothing!
Is there any lag on the tachometer reading or speedometer?
Nope, no lag at all.
