    Great video! Thanks.
    I have a Yashica mat 124G. The light meter always worked, but today suddenly it's only the time "dial" that works. The dial for aperture has stopped working. So the meter works but it does not react when I turn the aperture dial. Do you think I can fix something like this problem?

      Interesting... from what I saw those dials are completely mechanical. So they physically move the light meter scale. I'd remove the viewfinder hood, it's just 4 screws and looked if the arm that connects aperture dial to the light meter somehow doesn't work. Once you unscrew the hood you'll get what I mean.

    Very helpful, thanks a lot!. Can you post a link to that specific spanner tool?

    Hello, thanks for your videos! I would appreciate if you could tell me how I can repair the shutter of the Yashica Mat 124. I bought the camera a short time ago, but I dropped it and the shutter stopped working. Could you tell me how to fix it? Thank you very much and greetings from Seville, Spain.

      Hello, Jose. I don't know how to fix the shutter unfortunately. Mine is not working correctly for everything longer than 1/8 :(

    hi friends.
    the viewfinder screws are JIS right?
    can i use a philips screw driver to take that JIS off?
    by the way, what do i google to find new screws?

      all japanese made cameras use JIS screws. You can use a philips head but be careful, since you dont get a perfect fit you will wear out the head more easily.

    Hi! My Yashica Mat 124g has a problem, the light meter screen got unstuck and is moving inside the camera. I don't know how to fix it, would you have any recommandations?

      Hi, David! You mean that light meter bulb? Unfortunately, I didn't remove the cover so I don't know how it sits inside. On my camera the screws that hold the cover are glued, so I decided not to go inside.

      Easy, remove the top, 4 screws, then 2 screws from the inside to remove the cell cover (you might have to replace the foam afterwards) and then there are 3 additional screws to get access to the slam windows. Use pliobond glue.

    Use iso alcool when pulling the leatherette .

    does a scissors works just like a expender tool

    • @SoExpired
      @SoExpired  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really, you can lock expender's position with nuts, you can't lock scissors and they are sharp and I wouldn't recommend using them instead. You can use calipers to a certain degree.
