A prediction I made was that Art was the father of the children. The sketches in the notebook are far too real that only a true witness would be able to draw this. It also states the father had major brain damage and was abusive towards the end. Brooke states that you could hear the father's scream from a mile away, maybe explaining why Art doesn't talk.
The girl is one of two things: either the ghost of the 10-year-old girl that Art murdered, or, alternatively, the LPG is the demon who resurrected Art so he could provide her with endless entertainment.
I got the impression that Art didn't kill the siblings when he had a chance because there was an implied connection between them. The fact that the dad obviously knew about Art, or what Art was to become, at first made me think that Art was going to turn out to be their dad, but that didn't happen, or at least not yet. There's a ton of implications that the brother and sister have something supernatural about them, but it doesn't really go anywhere. I guessing that we'll have a part 3 that will go more into this. As far as the random supernatural visions and abilities seem like out left field, but it fits if you know your slasher history. The first Terrifier was along the line of early slashers- low budget, gritty, and very grindhouse. Terrifier 2 feels like mid 80's to 90's slashers- relying more on supernatural elements, none of which are really ever explained, and much snarkier and sillier in tone and kills. T1 was Halloween/Friday the 13th; T2 is Nightmare on Elm Street and Chucky. If they follow this trend, T3 would have to be like Scream/I Know What You Did Last Summer- kind of self aware and a deconstruction of the slasher genre.
Yeahh,, I've got a huge Idea that art most likely IS their dad and he is the murderer of pale girl,, considering he knew about art beforehand being the only one who was aware of him beforehand and him dying in a car crash(I think haven't watched it since release). Alot of the links that hang up together lead it to be that direction imo
I was watching this movie at like 10pm in the dark and when art was at the dinner table he whipped out the exact same plate that I have at home and that made me very uncomfortable
One of the best features of Art is preciely how goofy the guy is. He is a clown after all, and he acts like one. That scene in the costume shop was hilarious
Her name was Allie not Annie and that scene made me cry a lil bit with how brutal it was, even if it was extremely unrealistic and a bit cheesy as you mentioned with the arm splitting. I think it was the 'Mom' part that got me, just the thought of coming home to a loved one in that state and hearing their last word be your name is so disturbing. Not as disturbing as Johnathons 'acting' though
The thing for me was after her arm got ripped off, I just kept thinking about how fast she would probably bleed out. Especially when the other arm gets bisected. I imagine most people would go into shock and die pretty quickly after something like that. At least without cauterization or a tourniquet or something.
I have a feeling that Art is related to/is Sienna and Johnathan's dad. They made it a point to talk about how their dad had a brain tumor and it made him get abusive. Also, in the first scene they show him touching that wound on the back of the head. Either that or their dad drew him and he somehow came alive with some dark magic, considering how he is basically immortal and Sienna resurrects so magic exists in this universe
@@Rowansfears that's a great angle! Yeah in the after credits BTS interviews Damien Leone was talking about there being more to the story and more to explore with the characters and backstories. I really feel like its leading somewhere like this.
I think Art actually COULDN'T kill Sienna and her brother outside of the carnival because she's protected by whatever magic her dad put on her to kill Art. We actually see that when she drowns in the Clown Cafe. Doesn't count as in the Carnival, so she revives. Art may have known something like that would happen if he tried. Probably the same reason her mom gets taken out quickly and relatively painlessly- Art can tell the family's magic but may not know the details.
both of these movies hold a super special place in my heart because i got to see them both with my dad, who passed away 2 days after we saw the second film. can’t wait for a 3rd.
The little girl clown goes by the name The Little Pale Girl, and while her origins/purpose aren't exactly explained, it's most likely that she is a demonic entity who is actually responsible for resurrecting Art and making him immortal. She then kinda partners up with him and takes the form of who was actually Art's very first victim, except in clown makeup. This can be supported by the glowing eyes, the supernatural abilities such as only being seen by Art and other important characters, the voice mimicry, and the fact that at the end of the movie she recovers Art's head, and he is once again resurrected by her shortly afterward. i know Elvis probably wont see this, but hopefully this clears up a little bit of confusion surrounding that character and explains how Art came back to life in the first movie. Art appeared to be so distraught before his death in Terrifier, compared to him mocking Sienna as she kills him in the sequel, because in Terrifier, *Art didn't know that he was going to be resurrected* (This has been confirmed by Damien Leone), so he was probably genuinely stressed when the police closed in on him, which drove him to game over himself right after taunting the police one last time, compared to his more boastful demeanor in Terrifier 2, where he even allows Sienna easier access to his neck before she decapitated him.
fun fact, annie's death scene where art pulls apart her hand and arm is actually a portrayal of a forced seperation of the ulna and radius bones in your forearm, which has never happened in recorded history even as a freak accident, but just the thought of the hand snapping in half, and the ligaments/tendons pulling the bones apart is absolutely horrendous and terrifying to think about. it shows how well the writers, directors, and producers have researched how the human body works. while the gore is perhaps overdone and unrealistic, all of the things art does to people could actually be used to commit torture in real life, and thats what makes it actually terrifying.
Fun fact: your heart doesn’t need signals from the brain in order to beat so it would be able to continue beating outside of the body until the cells run out of energy to do so 👍
Watched this movie super faded and it did not disappoint! One of the deaths was quite positively the most painful death in any movie I’ve seen like I was impressed
honestly at one point it was so difficult to make a decision whether to laugh or cringe because the salt and bleach was SO over the top but just the imagination of the pain amy was in is enough to make me gag a lil lmao
I'll explain why art didn't kill Siena or her brother immediately, he wanted to torment and terrify them. Art was resurrected by an entity that also wanted him to torment them on Halloween night. So he did that.
@@doggok he wanted to destroy them, hear me out. Remember when art killed sienna? What happened directly before that? Thats right, sienna thought art k1lled her brother. Art broke her mentally before ending her. What about her brother? He literally started eating him alive because he thought sienna was gone, that way the kid could yell and beg for someone to save him as he was slowly and painfully consumed by some clown. He wanted to break them. Not just kill, not just torture, break. And he dang near succeeded
I love how Art sometimes mimes, and laughs, and just makes a hoot out of murder, then other times he's like, fuck this, and just pulls his ankle whip of sawed off shotty and just blows them away with no expression of anything. U NEVER know what to expect out of Art!
The absolute greatest thing about this movie that makes it different from other Slashers is that it's so damn funny. All of arts mannerisms are so funny. That scene where the girls mom comes in to see art in her room with blood everywhere, and Arts just making these mannerisms saying "Now THATS what I was waiting for" as the mom is screaming, just made me bust out laughing. Even that scene before he kills the clerk was absolutely hilarious, almost like he was going "Oooooh, you shouldn't have done that". The actor does such a fucking fantastic job giving him life and it's why I can't wait for the third one.
The reason the pacing is so long is because this movie was made at the start of 2019, but because of covid 19 they had to halt production, leaving producers a lot of time to edit certain scenes. Especially in the bedroom scene with Allie!
Saw this in the theater, on my birthday, and it was amazing! The pacing was perfect to me, maybe cuz we were in a theater with people constantly reacting, but it went by quickly.
This was the first movie to ever make me feel sick. I watched martyrs and felt sad but nothing else. Terrifier 2 was a different beast. I was in the theater alone and had to set my popcorn aside because I almost vomited so many times.
I absolutely would love to see a review about the third one now. Would be interesting considering it answers some, maybe even a lot of questions that formed after the second terrifier
Great video as always! I thought the magic sword bit was very cool. It's something we typically don't see in these kinds of movies. Full on magic. Even tho we know magic has got to be involved somehow on account of the immortal clown.
Just saw Terrifier two last night with my dad, and the movie did what it was supposed to do and more! I was constantly cringing and barely being able to watch the screen at many different points, it is very disturbing, and I loved every minute👏🏼🤣
Absolutely adore this movie! It's unironically one of my favorite films of all time, at this point, and it was such an incredible theater experience. Damien Leone is a special effects MAESTRO!
DHT is actually a real mime, which is why he go the acting role. It's honestly amazing how much a person can convey from just facial expressions. I also saw a really cool interview with DHT and he was so goofy and down to earth. I don't think they ever realised when making this, that they just created a NEW horror icon, and that's a badge of honor for sure.
Can’t believe you didn’t touch upon the fantastic soundtrack. Synthwave bangers were unexpected but welcome 👍 Also, pretty sure he put salt on her wounds to hurt her more, but your interpretation of preserving her also makes sense.
I've always been more of an existential horror fan and have never been a fan of films with heavy gore.....but damn I love these movies. Greatest true horror franchise in the last ten years imo
I'm 52 and LITERALLY brought up on Video Nasties AND hate most modern horror, but even I thought both films went too far in a couple of places. And were great.
I can honestly blame Brooke's stupidity on the fact she's probably drunk/high and terrified. If she's not drunk or high then yes dumb kind of lol Also have to appreciate Art, like not just his acting but the fact he has the stomach for half this stuff lol
I like how you're censoring everything graphic with Nicolas Cage. In my opinion I find it very hilarious. Also Terrifier 2 is the greatest movie of all time!

Somehow, Elvis is immune to subtlety and clear iconographic moments.
Oh god I hope the third isn't like scream. The last thing I want to see is anymore meta-commentary or deconstruction of horror genres.
I was watching this movie at like 10pm in the dark and when art was at the dinner table he whipped out the exact same plate that I have at home and that made me very uncomfortable
apart from all the horrible mutilating Art did, he gave the kids candy, what a good gentleman.
Yes, he even helped Sienna with her bag!
He even tried waking up the brother just to make sure he was alright. Art is just misunderstood
“Apart from all the killing Hannibal Lector did, he was really just a guy trying to achieve his dreams

i think you like it but it is so different from any other movies you have seen and thats why you feel like that
@@KrimsonSpektre I can't wait to get terrifier 2on DVD
thats exactly what they were going for lol
@@jarrodedson5441 trust me bro it is great
In my opinion, I think if a movie can make me laugh, it’s somewhat of a decent movie.
One of the best features of Art is preciely how goofy the guy is. He is a clown after all, and he acts like one. That scene in the costume shop was hilarious
Find the laundry scene funny how he reacts at the newspaper
That scene definitely made me laugh a lot more than I think It should have.
Yeh it has lots of funny moments .
Hearing about that scene and the hacksaw scene in Terrifier1 are what make me really apprehensive to watch them. Its the sustained torture of it all…
Yeah, it's a little over the top......
This scene was the roughest for me. I have a daughter, so that part got to me more than it would in the past. I was literally shaking afterwards.
The thing for me was after her arm got ripped off, I just kept thinking about how fast she would probably bleed out. Especially when the other arm gets bisected. I imagine most people would go into shock and die pretty quickly after something like that. At least without cauterization or a tourniquet or something.
@@Freefall347 Absolutely, and if not that the amount of deep gashes Art gave her before her mom came into the room would've done it
make the killer immortal and nobody bats an eye
make the victim immortal and suddenly everyone wants an explanation for it smh
If i made my wife watch that movie I'd be divorced and I wouldn't even blame her.
I have a feeling that Art is related to/is Sienna and Johnathan's dad. They made it a point to talk about how their dad had a brain tumor and it made him get abusive. Also, in the first scene they show him touching that wound on the back of the head. Either that or their dad drew him and he somehow came alive with some dark magic, considering how he is basically immortal and Sienna resurrects so magic exists in this universe
interesting theory, tho i believe the wound on his head was from him shooting his own head in the first movie.
I thought Art was their dad who died, went to hell, became a demon and got resurrected on Halloween
@@Rowansfears that's a great angle! Yeah in the after credits BTS interviews Damien Leone was talking about there being more to the story and more to explore with the characters and backstories. I really feel like its leading somewhere like this.
Same that's what I think....can't wait to see what happens in the third movie!
no yeah I was so sure that was where it was going
I love how Cosmo is just chilling or passed out while Elvis and Sarah are getting utterly traumatised
His name is actually Elvis?!
@Doug D I mean lots of ppl are called Elvis so I wouldn't be surprised-

@@Snoop_Dugg It's better than some people still getting named Adolph.
I've been waiting for his review on this for a while. His review of the 1st one was hilarious, but the new film is on a different level.
Same bro
May your Dad rest in peace
I absolutely LOVE how art is just doing this all for the fun of it, just makes it even more terrifying.
The first film with Art is actually All Hallows Eve. If you enjoyed Terrifier, you'll probably like that one too.
No it’s the 9th circle
@@user-wy5rs2zj6u oh my bad didn't know about that one
@@user-wy5rs2zj6u 9th circle is included in All Hallows Eve
@@PortugueseMACPOW oh mb mb
All Hallows Eve was a terrible movie
What if art was just a human and shes his guardian devil.
The little girl clown was awesome. Good acting on her part, too. I didnt realise she was his first victim until you pointed it out, so thanks.
I love how self aware Art is. He’s one of the most goofy slashers ever.
The creator said that the sword thing will be explained in Terrifier 3, but I do agree it should have just been explained here
I absolutely loved this movie. The story was…not great but the gore and the humor was perfect
Yes the story isn't great but at least this film has a plot
Same I love it! A lot of people actually left our theater. There were only 10 of us left. I really enjoyed the All Hallow’s Eve and Terrifier 2.
In comparison with martyrs, would you rate the gore more realistic or less?
@@Chhjmmkg more
couldn’t agree more! the ending sucked and made zero sense but i thoroughly enjoyed the rest of it
I love seeing the reactions of you and your wife. They're priceless!
It was awesome seeing them and the doggos!
how? it's a giggle or sleeping
Considering everyone was saying terrifier 2 is so scary, yeah sleeping is quite a reaction. What's it to you?
fun fact, annie's death scene where art pulls apart her hand and arm is actually a portrayal of a forced seperation of the ulna and radius bones in your forearm, which has never happened in recorded history even as a freak accident, but just the thought of the hand snapping in half, and the ligaments/tendons pulling the bones apart is absolutely horrendous and terrifying to think about.
it shows how well the writers, directors, and producers have researched how the human body works. while the gore is perhaps overdone and unrealistic, all of the things art does to people could actually be used to commit torture in real life, and thats what makes it actually terrifying.
Fun fact: your heart doesn’t need signals from the brain in order to beat so it would be able to continue beating outside of the body until the cells run out of energy to do so 👍
That little smirk she had when you woke her up like you got me
9:46 I love how Elvis looks horrified, but his wife just looks disappointed in whoever made this. 🤣🤣🤣
😂 same
We're all disappointed. 🥴
@@bestjinsoulstan1840 yep
Let me guess, Allie's death?
I think we know which one your talking about
I'll explain why art didn't kill Siena or her brother immediately, he wanted to torment and terrify them. Art was resurrected by an entity that also wanted him to torment them on Halloween night. So he did that.
I think art is actually the dad of Siena
@@doggok he wanted to destroy them, hear me out. Remember when art killed sienna? What happened directly before that? Thats right, sienna thought art k1lled her brother. Art broke her mentally before ending her. What about her brother? He literally started eating him alive because he thought sienna was gone, that way the kid could yell and beg for someone to save him as he was slowly and painfully consumed by some clown. He wanted to break them. Not just kill, not just torture, break. And he dang near succeeded
@@kyasonkaylor6807 doubtful but maybe
Elvis you got to have a really strong gut to watch this because theres no way I’m ever watching that movie
I love how Art sometimes mimes, and laughs, and just makes a hoot out of murder, then other times he's like, fuck this, and just pulls his ankle whip of sawed off shotty and just blows them away with no expression of anything. U NEVER know what to expect out of Art!
Sometimes he might even be a nice fella and hand out candy for you with no murder involved!
i know he's a supernatural psycho but goddamn he's a good at carving heads
I watched this in theatres, there were only about 6 people there. When the salt scene came on, at least 3 people left 😅😅 loved this movie!
Nah you want a funny horror movie? Jason X. True American cinema. Better than this shit
The reason the pacing is so long is because this movie was made at the start of 2019, but because of covid 19 they had to halt production, leaving producers a lot of time to edit certain scenes. Especially in the bedroom scene with Allie!
That little jab you gave your wife when she is falling asleep is the single cutest thing ive ever seen xD
I’ve been dreading this in the back of my mind ever since the first one came out and I love it

“.. and they find art there, pretending to be a statue, holding Nic Cage’s head”
They were showing this at some drive in theaters around Halloween and that just feels like the perfect way to watch this.
Okay can we just agree this actor is the only person who can play Art? It’s like Robert Englund as Freddy. 😂 Just a perfect casting.
I agree
The moment art drops the bag on the counter was the tenser part of the film to me. Art is so good
Saw this in the theater, on my birthday, and it was amazing!

"I wasn't sleeping, I just passed out from from the terror!"
Great video as always! I thought the magic sword bit was very cool. It's something we typically don't see in these kinds of movies. Full on magic. Even tho we know magic has got to be involved somehow on account of the immortal clown.
Oh, I absolutely loved the plot point with the sword. I'm all about adding supernatural aspects to horror movies.
The actor for Art the clown made a great job by bringing another slasher to life.
Your wife falling asleep followed by you waking her up was overwhelmingly sweet.
Synthwave bangers were unexpected but welcome 👍
Also, pretty sure he put salt on her wounds to hurt her more, but your interpretation of preserving her also makes sense.
Agree on the soundtrack. Awesome music!
Was simply extra torture. Art doesnt, and never has, preserved or stored any part of his victims.
I guess you can call every kill a 'work of Art'.
Lmao Siennas scream when she saw the little girl was so good. Not the typical, unrealistic high-pitched scream but the same sound I'd probably make xD
I love how he laughs during the most gory scenes, a true psychopath.
I don't care what anyone else says, I am going down with my theory that Art is somehow Sienna and Johnathan's dad.
“Most horrifying slasher ever” and “it put my wife to sleep” are two statements that are hard to believe simultaneously.
i loved this movie SO much. There’s just something about it. For me it’s way better than the first one
I can honestly blame Brooke's stupidity on the fact she's probably drunk/high and terrified.
If she's not drunk or high then yes dumb kind of lol
Also have to appreciate Art, like not just his acting but the fact he has the stomach for half this stuff lol
I like how you're censoring everything graphic with Nicolas Cage. In my opinion I find it very hilarious. Also Terrifier 2 is the greatest movie of all time!

I didn’t know how much of a gentleman terrified is
Correction: his name is art the clown
I think it was a really smart idea for the director to hire a stuntwoman for the lead role in both movies to save money.
“SO SHE DESERVE WHAT SHE GO-“ caught me laughing hard.
I would love a movie of Art just going around on Halloween just evicting terror on the people who deny him candy
I think what I love about Art is he reminds me of a darker more sadistic Joker. Dude makes his kills like a comedy skit but just like Joker sometimes it’s best to just get straight to the point 😂
Art the clown really is just like you and me. Truly one of the most misunderstood villains
Yeah he’s pretty relatable with the whole torturing and killing thing
When terrifier 2 came out I was so excited to see your review on it.
If they ever do a third movie, I hope the beginning of the movie will continue with this cast and go into a flashback of the dad cause something ain’t right about this dad
Read where the director talking bout making a 3rd one and bringing back David Allen Thornton. They said possible release date could be 2023-2024 but i guess they re definetly wanting to do another one for sure. I hope so. Really got into these movies and have been hooked every since. 🙏🏽👍🏽
Somehow, Elvis is immune to subtlety and clear iconographic moments. The water tank and lounge Café are one of the circles of hell in this universe, and it’s clear that the strangely go blowing doorway she falls through to get there is a doorway to hell. It couldn’t be more obvious, I’m really having trouble understanding how Elvis didn’t read into that it’s right there for all of us to see.
So the kids have multiplayer schizophrenia
Your laugh while watching this movie should be the canonical laugh of Art the Clown if he ever makes a sound
10:39 petition to elvis make review on "is it a cake"
Is he immortal but also has the power to make his victims somewhat immortal? Some of the scenes had people still alive after being craved to pieces
You would be horrified to know how far the body can go
Human body can endure a lot of pain, even when the odds are this brutal.
I like how your wife is snuggling with the dogs, seemingly asleep. That's so cute! Also, great video; you are one of my favorite TH-camrs on here. Looking forward to more!

Just want to warn you that at 13:05 the blown off face isn‘t censored for a few frames
I watched this in a café, while eating Chinese food, it wasn’t a bad experience, but there were moments where I felt probably eating at the slow pace I’m eating while all of these gory scenes are playing out, won’t make me look sane in front of people.
I remember watching this and seeing the mash potatoes scene and realizing that I own the plates they use in that scene lol
My wife and I went to see this in the theatre, on the opening night in Denmark. I only showed in two minor theatres, in the entire country. We were exactly four people in the room. That was an awesome date night!
i feel like art is a play with your food type slasher he enjoys mentaly breaking his foes so if they do survive they will live a fate worse then death he just shows that when hes backed into a corner or being countered he just has a new power hes unpredictable he seems to either want to physically mutilate you or mentally mutilate you either way just dont get on his bad side
