The first time he does that was what made me officially like the movie. He was about to die then just pulled a gun. He became the best character at that point.
While this wasn’t perfect, it’s honestly so nice to have a horror franchise where everyone cares about the property so deeply. I met the cast last month and every single one of them were wonderful, especially Johnathon’s actor, Elliot Fullam. Genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve ever gotten to meet.
what makes this franchise good too is that it is self made not corpo involved and it caught the interest of ppl like tom savini to work and appear in the film
My absolute favorite detail about this one is how the little girl at the very beginning has a possum plush in her bedroom (homage to Terrifier 2) and then later at the mall, art has actual toys in his bag including a possum plush. Meaning he literally stole the presents and toys from the first house and those are what he gave out to the kids at the mall. With the bomb lol
Agreed. He saw what studio execs have done to the work of brilliant creatives like Carpenter or Craven, and realized he couldn't let Art suffer the same fate. Still he took a huge chance turning them down, and probably turned down an enticing paycheck too, so much respect is due.
11:00 this scene is mainly there to show how Art has a clean costume in the next scene without going to the laundromat again lol, it's implied he kills that guy and takes his
I'd say Art The Clown is more like the new Jason Voorhees than the new Freddy Krueger, or some mixture of the two. You watch Jason for the gruesome kills (gruesome for the 1980s), and you watch Freddy for his funny one-liners and awesome nightmare kill sequences. So, I suppose in that way, Art The Clown is a modern mixture of the two, he is the newest edition to the Slasher Hall Of Fame.
@keremtukel8178 you could say the same about almost any classic slasher. Watching Jason, you never know, is he gonna whack them with a machete, throw them from a window, or maybe even smash their head with his bare hands. Same for Freddy, once his victims are in their nightmare world, you never know how he'll kill them. Maybe he'll smash them into a TV, maybe he'll burn them to death, or maybe he'll just go with the good old fashioned Freddy Glove Claws.
I say art has kinda given us an interesting mix. He’s a mute slasher like Jason and Michael but since he’s not wearing a mask his expressions basically act as a Stand in for the funny quips you’d get with like Freddy and other slashers like ghostface or Chucky. But I also like that terrifier really nails the build up of every kill like you start every scene with art like “ok when he is gonna flip the switch”
I'm not sure if this is true but i heard Damien Leone was a prop master before making movies of his own and i'm all but convinced that this franchise is just he flexing all the cool stuff he's made.
He did, and that’s why he has been able to do so much with small budgets. He already knows the tricks to save money and whatnot, and he’s able to get shots done in one take
If you were paying attention, that sword is the only thing that can properly kill him. The reason he didn't die in the second film, part of him was still in the little girl and she transferred herself into Vickys body. There's literally a scene of the sword getting made in the demons world
Sienna's Dad also mentions that the magic sword cannot hurt the heroine in his comic. This is why Sienna's wounds from the sword heal up just like when Art stabs her with it in 2. Sienna and the sword are the only ones who can truly kill the demon. This is why Art doesn't just kill her, there will just be another hero chosen. Instead the demon wants to possess Sienna as by doing that it means the demon can only die by it's own hand which it obviously won't do.
This is why I was thrown off by some of his points in the review. He’s confused by things like the crown of thorns, “bc Jesus lol I guess”, erm did we watch the same movie? Especially with some of the context the 2nd film gave
@PRHILL9696 I know, I just worded it poorly, I know he's not in her himself, I meant they are one in some way that's how he was able to come back. Without her, he would have stayed dead as the sword is the only thing to get rid of it for good
9:14 So I am pretty sure what’s happening is Art was originally in the first movie just a serial killer but keeps getting revived by this demon who is possessing Vicky and took the form of the clown girl in the second movie.

Literally somehow and I'm curious since they do almost mostly all of this practical, I'm curious how they'll show what Hell looks like.
Can we take a moment and give a shoutout to Lauren LaVera who play Sienna Shaw. She is by far one of my favorite girls in horror next to Sam Carpenter. She understood the assignment in this role. But glad Elvis reviewed this film
Yeah, it is weird how Elvis never really gives her due credit, but ah well. He seems to like stories that explain everything, but horror doesn't always need to do that. The Shining is a classic, even though it explains nothing. Besides, we are getting things explained to us gradually. He seems annoyed when he has to theorize. He does realize that is part of its success, right? A big way to keep a franchise relevant now is get the community to theorize on the lore. I think we can largely thank/blame Five Nights at Freddy's for that, as that is the "kids horror" much of Gen Z grew up with, and was the gateway for many horror fans from that generation.
Terrifier series is the best. I hate being a ‘day one’ person but it’s genuinely been heartwarming despite the contents of the films to see how Damien and David have become stars in their own right and being to create and star in projects they truly love. I have tried to show the first two films to as many people as possible because they are so entertaining and clever.
Speaking of day one, I saw the original Terrifier short all the way back in 2012. Looking back on that feels almost surreal now knowing what an icon the character would wind up becoming in just a decade's time. I could only imagine how I'd react if I knew that one day the creepy silent clown from that little TH-cam short I stumbled upon would be advertised as a costume in the windows of the Halloween Spirit that's a five-minute walk from my house.
Man at my screening nobody flinched, they were chilling. Think the screening they filmed had the audience know they were on camera, so to big up their reactions.

A friend of mine who’s a fan of these movies told me after she had seen the 3rd installment “David, holy FUCK. If you like gore, then cool. But this movie? THIS is fucking gore!”.
These movies definitely aren't for me but I'm glad the cast and crew are so invested and love their work. Art definitely has the charisma just outside the character.
There's a music video for the band Ice Nine Kills called A Work of Art. It's essentially a 15-minute short film featuring Art making his usual mayhem, and he's actually played by Art's actor.
Great Video! Finally got around to watching the movie yesterday (largely because of this video) and gotta say I really liked it! Probally my favorite of the Terrifer movies and can't wait for part 4!
David is honestly so good!!! The movie wouldn't work nearly as well without his delivery. That being said, you can see they were passionate about this project and put a lot of effort into it, it definitely paid off.
I think the acting is top-notch from the actress who played Seanna. I felt so sorry for her when she saw Art at the mall and that PTSD she has takes over. The acting from her little brother though was so bad
I always put on Elvis to listen to in the background while I get ready to go out and now I have a backlog of videos showing off my make up/outfit with Elvis in the back describing horrendous gore. This one made it into my Christmas ootd!
12:03 is actually an homage to the 1974 movie Black Christmas! An Elvis upload is a seriously slept on Christmas present. Merry Christmas everyone! 🎁🎄
I fucking bursted laughing and gagging at the chainsaw ass kill when i first watched this movie with my friend 😂
Yaaay! Another one that laughed at Cole's getting sawdomized! 😂
Just saw the demonetization of this one. Leaving a comment to help. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Me and my gf about to watch terrifier 3 as our Christmas movie together 😂 I’ve seen it, she has no idea what to expect 😂
1:14 Jeez that list... That's more brutal than the whole franchise. I don't know if it speak more about how good this slasher is or how bad hollywood has become.
Idk that number seems off😂
Love how the acting has gone up each movie lmao
Tbh. I think it was the opposite way. The first had the best acting then the second then third. (Imo)
@@JakeDudeIThinkto each their own, but I think it has gotten better each time as well
I would rather have Brian & Stewie pretending to be Santa in my house rather than Art
Let's be honest elvis the alian is the best TH-camr on this platform
Terrifier is just Happy Tree Friends if it wasn't trying to disguise itself as a kids cartoon.
LMAO yes. Loved this film, was eagerly anticipating the video on it!
We were all chilling in my theater lol, that opening scene definitely had some strong “OUUUUUUUs” but other than that? The chainsaw shower scene really got us
Elvis: 😲🤣, Elvis’s wife: 🥱😴😐🥱😴😐
A friend of mine who’s a fan of these movies told me after she had seen the 3rd installment “David, holy FUCK. If you like gore, then cool. But this movie? THIS is fucking gore!”.
Now I need a “the painter(s) vs art the clown” death battle even though we all know who would win
You’re wife’s deadpan glare while you laugh maniacally is priceless 😂❤
Your wife loves you dude to be enduring watching that movie given the expressions on her face lol
Yeah that video is awesome 👌 and the song too by the way 🤘🤘
Great Video! Finally got around to watching the movie yesterday (largely because of this video) and gotta say I really liked it! Probally my favorite of the Terrifer movies and can't wait for part 4!
Victoria is the human corruption that allows Art to exist in our plane she is the survivor and the connection to art in our world
After I watched the first Terrifier on Netflix didn’t think it would’ve been a 3queal
When I saw this there was only me, my brother, and a group of about 10 or so teenagers who proceeded to walk right the fuck out after the cold open
David is honestly so good!!! The movie wouldn't work nearly as well without his delivery. That being said, you can see they were passionate about this project and put a lot of effort into it, it definitely paid off.
Well, it's about TIME!
Merry Christmas Elvis...and a Happy New Year 😁😁🥳🥳🥳
I think the acting is top-notch from the actress who played Seanna.
Your wife is just tired of it all at this point
It was so cute how Art was excited about Santa. LOL
Happy Christmas Eve and a merry Christmas 🎄
12:03 is actually an homage to the 1974 movie Black Christmas! It's considered the grandfather of slasher movies because it has a lot of the classic slasher tropes but came before the first Halloween movie. I recommend it! It's another great Christmas watch.
Edit: Finished the video and awesome work as always, Elvis!! Happy Holidays.
Art has been easily ripping people apart since the first movie, idk why you’re still surprised that he’s strong lol
He lugs around that trash bag like it's nothing. In the scene in the bar with the guy in the Santa outfit it takes two people to carry the bag when they throw it at him after he pees on Santa.
Been waiting for this haha, saw this in the cinema with my family. They didn’t like it very much
