Never mind that I was born in 1990, the 90's was a properly awesome decade for action movies! You gents best watch Broken Arrow! Christian Slater, and an awesome villain role from John Travolta(!); throw in John Woo as director, and you have the coolest dmn movie you'll watch all week!
One of Cusack's first films was a sort of teem film/sort of action movie called Hot Pursuit. I can never get past Cage's accent. Chris Hemsworth had Cabin in the Woods come out right before Avengers because he starred in both and Joss Whedon wrote/co-wrote both, but Cabin in the Woods was shot years earlier and put on the shelf. If they put it out right after Avengets, it may have made money.
My name is Cyrus and growing up people from the older generation always called me Cyrus the Virus, and I thought it was really cool. But one day I asked where it came from in the first place. I was then introduced to this amazing film
This movie is littered with nostalgia, great actors in their time, 90s action, and classic Nick at his best. Most people don’t know that Adrian from Rocky is his mom and Francis Coppola is his Uncle.
You just scared the shit outta me, I knew he was a Coppola and Francis nephew but you freaked me out saying talia shire was his mom. Googled it and no she is his aunt. I knew the Coppola thing 15 years back so figured I'd know if adrian was his mom. Thank God you're wrong
Danny Trejo was a guest on the podcast How Did This Get Made a few years back, and they asked him about Con Air. Danny has done hard time in prison (including serving time with Charles Manson), so he's seen some shit. They were curious, on this set, with all of these tough, super macho actors all trying to out-macho each other, who was the most intimidating. And do you know who he said? John Cusack. Cusack has been doing martial arts for decades and, according to Trejo's description, "There was just something behind his eyes" that scared the shit out of him.
@@celiashen5490 Yep, They actually did Con Air on the show later, and brought it up again and talked about how Trejo said that Cusack is actually a scary dude in person. Also this reminds me: if the guys haven't seen it, they should absolutely check out Grosse Pointe Blank.
This is one of those movies that I put in the same category as Independence Day and Armageddon as a fun popcorn movie to watch with friends and just have a blast. I love this movie. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and it’s entertaining as hell. Steve Buscemi steals every scene he’s in. Just a blast of a movie!

When mason said nicholas cage makes a good movie then a bad movie so you never know. But this time..... con air, face off and gone in 60 seconds just pure class
This is one of my favorite Nic Cage movies, The Rock too, and I am absolutely happy to see this being seen. Got to say I loved the accent and hair on him even when I saw this way back haha. The Oak's reactions, even though he's seen this before, was hilarious.
What i love most about this film, is that it has the cheesiest lines, the cheesiest tropes, just overall, the cheesiest cheese that ever cheesed, yet is epically amazing 😆❤️

That's Trisha Yearwood. There's a whole story there.
Love this movie. Other great old but amazing films you guys should react to are Seven(1995), Kiss the Girls(97), and Along came a Spider. All have Morgan Freeman as a calculating detective investigating dark cases. Highly recommend
Ahh Nic Cage. One of my favs.
Gone in 60 Seconds next!
This is my favorite NC film. So fun every watch.
