      @@bugsyfishing gday again i re watched your video again, i noticed you also dive with a freedom 7 as i do, have you seen any serious sharks with it on??

    • @bugsyfishing
      @bugsyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oceanrambo hey mate! Yeah, I've been using them for almost 20 years now. When I first got one I tested it with bronze whalers, bull sharks, and white tip reef sharks. I found it worked better with the bigger sharks. Perhaps it is because they have more surface area on their nose and more Ampullae of Lorenzini and therefore are more sensitive to its effects. Just a theory. It has worked well as a deterrent but definitely not 100% effective

    • @bugsyfishing
      @bugsyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers Shane. I like drummer better personally. The flesh is flaky, white and moist. Really good. I like luderick too but I usually steam them with spring onions, and ginger and then top with hot peanut oil and some soy sauce.

    Hey brother I’m new to the fishing in the area and I’m just trying to wrap my head around the terms people use with the wind direction. When you said northerly winds do you mean wind coming from the S pushing up N or is it wind coming from the N down S?

    • @bugsyfishing
      @bugsyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey brother, wind is named by the direction from which it originates. Northerly wind blows from the north to the south. I didn't realise I mentioned the wind direction in this vid. Good pick up

    That was really cool and nice to see the different species along with your comments. The big guy on the floor, was that a flattie? Are you comfortable with the shark device?
    I can imagine the amount of lures being down there, looks pretty bad with all the braid floating around. It's kind of hard to know what the ocean floor looks like from the ledge, but this gives you a pretty good idea. What's the difference in underwater vegetation during winter and summer, do you know? Fun stuff, thanks for making the vid.

    • @bugsyfishing
      @bugsyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, Jake. I'm not sure what that big fella on the floor was, perhaps some sort of shark. Didn't get close enough to have a good look. The shark shield works as a deterrent - I've tested it on bull sharks, bronze whalers and some others. It definitely helps but not 100% effective.
      Not sure about the the vegetation. I'll have to pay more attention. Yes, I definitely want to get rid of more of that braid. Cheers mate
