- Today the boys experience the first ever Korean MT at a “pension”, aka vacation house. We first stop by Hongcheon to have a look around the market and get some meat for the barbecue. And yes of course we get distracted by all the other local delicacies along the market street! After getting everything we need (and more) to survive in the mountains for one night, we head straight to the pension. Nothing fancy, but we did book out the entire place just for us! Who was the best at Korean drinking games? Did Armand and Max remember anything from their Korea Uni experience? Watch the video to find out!

오늘은 영국 대학생들을 데리고 엠티를 갑니다! 그것도 펜션으로! 펜션이 뭔지도 몰랐던 영국 대학생들, 그리고 교장쌤! 우선 저녁에 구워먹을 고기를 사러 시장에 들렀는데, 결코 그냥 고기만 살 저희들이 아니죠… 이것저것 먹고싶은거 다 사서 도착한 펜션! 강원특별자치도 인제 산골에 있는 펜션을 통째로 빌렸는데요… 과연 아이들의 반응은 어땠을까요? 한국 술게임을 누가 제일 잘했을까요?ㅋㅋ 고려대학생들에게 배웠던 게임들을 아르망과 맥스는 과연 기억을 했을까요? 이번 영상도 재밌게 봐주셨음 좋겠네요^^

I noticd that before the boys mentioned it. Big up to Bobby. He may have been gutted to miss out on much of the Navy experience, but he has gained so much in other ways.

Korean Englishman + the school boys' relationship is honestly the most wholesome and fated friendship you will find around. To think this whole thing started because the crew were wanting to introduce Korean culture to a bunch of 16/17 yo boys, and now those boys are extensions of the Korean Englishman family. This channel would not be the same had these relationships never happened. It is very beautiful to witness.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 대학생 때 생각나네요😂 맛있게 고기 구워먹고 밤새 게임하며 술마시고 내가 언제 잠들었는지 모르게 잠들었다가 아침에 부스스 깨어나면 부지런한 친구들이 라면을 끓이고 있었죠. 아줌마가 되어서도 잊지못할 젊은 날의 즐거운 추억입니다. 그렇게 밤새워 놀면서 친구들과 더욱 친해졌죠. 영국 학생들이 즐겁게 게임하는 모습에 같이 신나네요. 특히 교장선생님이 누구보다 적극적으로 게임하는 모습이 정말 보기좋아요. 다들 어디 다치지 않고 무사히 잠들었기를 바래요 😅

My son LYnden who has just started teaching English in Seoul, met Max in Nottingham when Max was looking at student shared housing. Apparently they ended up chatting whilst the other people toured the house 😀. Have a great time guys and maybe you’ll meet up again as he is there for 1 year.😀

It is simple to wrap vegetables when eating pork belly, but there is a philosophy in the diet of Asians, especially Koreans. Meat has negative energy, vegetables have positive energy, and ssamjang or garlic that we eat together is full of vitamins and digestive enzymes. There is a hidden wisdom to harmonize without being biased to either side. The good thing is that the more we share, the better our lives become. I hope the British people know that and enjoy it.

I would love to learn more about this "philosophy". As much as I love trying new foods... learning the history, traditions, applications, and context is *far* more interesting. I know I'll never get it perfect, but I would at least like to show that I respect everything surrounding the food.
