    What I love seeing that you still use the same scissor, tape runner and paper trimmer for many years showing you don’t need the latest and greatest to make great cards. Love your videos

      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Karen Carruthers Thank you! While I do enjoy buying new paper pads and stamp sets, most of my crafty tools have been around for a long time. No need to replace them when everything still works perfectly. 😊

    Another home run! Halloween is my number one favorite craft category. I'd rather make Halloween cards and mini albums over any other holiday, and you just inspired me to start my cards today!! Thank you for these 6x6 tutorials. They are the best card making videos in all of TH-cam!! Hugs!

      Cathy Krebs Aw, thanks! You are so sweet. 😊 I don’t mind Halloween, as long as it’s more cute than scary. I’ve always enjoyed the Halloween color combinations. I hope you have fun making your own Halloween projects. Happy crafting! 🙂

    Oh so cute! I love how you used the haunted house out of the corner of the paper. This is a really cute pad of paper. Great music!

    As always, I really enjoyed your video. While I don't do Halloween, that doesn't lessen my enjoyment of this video nor does it lessen the inspiration I received from it. I rarely have the same paper pads you do but I learn so much about how to make scraps work for the design and how to make the sketches be a tool rather than a master. This lets me apply what I've learned to whatever paper pad I'm working on at the time. Thanks for all your work and all you do.

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sashabelle728 I’m so glad my videos can provide some inspiration for your own card making. It’s wonderful that you are able to utilize the paper pads you already own without purchasing all the new releases. Thank you for your continued support and kindness. 😊

    I don't do too many Halloween Cards, but the paper is really cute! My favorite cards are the second to the last group you did! I love the paper with the clouds, stars, hats, and pumpkins. The color coordination always turns out great in any of the groups you put together!

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Roxanne Tucker Thank you! This is more Halloween cards than I’ve ever made before. And I probably need to make one more set of cards so there will be enough for every resident at the retirement home. I’ll still avoid the scary stuff though. 🙂

    I watched your video this morning and decided I had to have that paper pad so I ran to Joann’s and thankfully they had 1 left in stock! I don’t think I would have normally chosen this one, but I love how your cards turned out! Thanks for feeding my obsession! 😂

    Oh my this video was great! So many things things I enjoyed. Love the sketch "robin's craftroom" . It has become added to my favorite list. Just when I think I know all your tricks (no pun intended, haha) I discover a new one... love the score-tape strip for the ribbon and love the strip of paper instead of ribbon. You are getting more detailed.. the black strips and the ghost and the Nuvo drops. Your are totally awesome.. I so love your videos, keep them coming.

      Keanna Sion Thank you! I appreciate your kindness. The shiny black strips are called Peel Offs and they are made by Love From Lizi. This sheet was leftover from their August monthly kit. They do sell the Peel Offs separately in their U.K. online shop. I absolutely love using them. 😊

    I loved watching you create all of these cards using 1 paper pad. I would love to do this. I was curious what you kept doing with the cards after you put the drops on them?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Denise Dornbusch Thank you! I’ve been making cards this way for many years and never tire from it. 😊 After putting the Nuvo drops on the cards, I lightly tapped them against my trimmer or table. It just helps flatten out the drops a bit.

  • @carolynmiller7181

    I really enjoy your videos. I have purchased many 6x6 pads but haven't found the cut apart pages like you have in those you use. I have many different well known brands. Wondering why the difference

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Carolyn Miller Thank you! 😊 Not all companies include the cut aparts. I think it’s a newer addition to paper pads over the past few years. Sometimes I like them, but other times I choose not to use any. Doodlebug, Echo Park, and Carta Bella seem to always include cut aparts.

    Loved the paper pack and the cards came out so cute. By the way do you do custom orders. Say for example like the Halloween packet and if how do you charge?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Carmen Chiapa Thank you! 😊 I honestly have never considered selling my cards. I’ve just always donated or gifted them to others. There are so many organizations that have a need for handmade cards. I find joy in creating the cards and simply like to share that joy with others. 🙂

    I know this is going to be a crazy question...Have you ever done a different card sketch for every card in a paperpack?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      kakylong2 Hello. Not a crazy question at all. I’ve been using my 6x6 tutorial for many, many years. Prior to starting a TH-cam channel, I would share all my cards from one 6x6 on my blog. There have been numerous times I only made one card with each sketch. But I haven’t done that since making videos. 🙂

  • @rosemarierohlfs789
    @rosemarierohlfs789 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Do you take the 1/8 or 1/4 inch for the mats from the sizes u have published? Thank u so much for doing the sizes on your sketches but I am not sure if the sizes r for the mats or the patterned papers. And if the "white" around each sketch on ur blog is it the card base or bottom mat I love watching these and I have tried a couple of the sketches from the blog.
    ?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rosemarie Rohlfs Hello and thank you for watching my videos. I really appreciate the support. The measurements listed on the sketches are for the pattern paper. Then I usually add 1/8” for the matted layers. I list measurements that way because not everyone likes to add matted layers. Of course, I alter the sketches all the time. Sometimes I like to have some of the white card base showing or I may not have the right size scraps. 🙂

    Do you use scotch brand adhesive tape for your gun or just a generic. I can never seem to get my to work. It sticks then pulls the new tape out or rips. It’s so aggravating when I see how wonderful yours does. Maybe I have defective gun?

    • @KristieMarcotte
      @KristieMarcotte  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      xanadumindbody That’s too bad that you are having problems with your ATG. I purchase tape refills from Tape Jungle and rarely have any problems with them. Occasionally I get a bad roll, but it’s generally still usable. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer.

    • @xanadumindbody

      xanadumindbody Probably the tape company unless you think it’s the tape gun causing the issue.
