- Just a quick video reading and reacting to the Warhammer community dwarf pre-release article. 🙂
In case you are wondering; I missed that the pre-order for Dwarfs opens next week (Sat 20th), but now you know 😄
This to me is a HUGE hint that we are going to see one set of the Empire civil war factions dropping next. Empire is not going to be just one faction, it's going to be multiple with shared common units but some unique ones
It will definitely be interesting to see what they do with the Empire 👍
Surprised to not see any artillery in the battalion box, nice otherwise. I thought the bugmans cart was the wagon from the skull pass set at first, so was equally confused to hear it called an iconic unit of the same level as the anvil.
On a side note I would have loved to have seen a versus box set but I guess if it was going to happen they’d have launched with it. Still no reason I can’t replicate it myself.
Well, it’s the Sunday preview, so based on current standard practice, they’ll release in two weeks.
Great to see you back!
Thanks man 😄
The dwarfs were pikes and were never legal.... 3rd edition maybe? They were from the marauder range. I am hoping the royal host takes in the slayer king, fingers firmly crossed.
It does, I've just put up another video where they confirmed it : )
@@OldWorld_Gaming huzzah!
Dwarves with spears were of course legal…?
Even early 6th edition had them in ravening hordes
@@bingobongo1615 This is true, but only in the empire army list 👍
They would be 3rd Ed figures and you could have pikes or spears in the list in 3rd Ed Warhammer Armies. Prior to that there were no elite statlines so the only way of making one unit of dwarfs different from another was having different weapons and/or armour (berserkers probably the only exception to that with some special rules though the normal stats).
I'm buying one of the carmarthen lot the dwarfs battalion already prepreordered the shield bearers and journal from a 3rd party. Eventually (in a few months time, maybe when 6 of the 9 are out) I might run a slow grow. Would you like in?
Sounds cool, keep me posted! 🙂
The only dwarf unit from Dogs of War were the Long Drong's Slayer Pirates from what I can see in the DoW codex. Perhaps a more experienced person could weigh in.
Yeah, that’s the only named dwarf unit with rules in the 5th edition dogs of war army book, but there were others that existed in previous editions such as Ulther’s Dragon Company that will be getting a re-release for Old World 👍
@@OldWorld_Gaming thank you for the information.
What time by chance are the dwarfs dropping on Saturday here in the U.S?
This is the info I've found: www.perplexity.ai/search/what-time-do-new-games-worksho-9xKATa.yQqaLIdgNWsaOZg
@@OldWorld_Gaming thank you brother, haha lucked out it’s going 11 am where I’m at 😂
You must be a newbie if you've never heard of Bugman.
When did I say that? 😆
On an unrelated note, when I worked at the GW in Eastbourne we used to have a regular who we knew as Monstrous Dave 😄
@@OldWorld_Gaming It's probably a coincidence.
@@OldWorld_Gaming "I'd never seen it before the adeptiocondybondy pre you" or something. @20:53
Just the cart, I’ve got a unit of Bugman’s rangers in my dwarf army 🙂.
Although now that I think of it, the Bugman’s cart was used for a few conversions in the 6th edition Warhammer Skirmish rules booklet 🤔😄
So, tell us something we couldn't already deduce from reading the announcement on our own. I feel like viewing this has been a bloody waste of time.
Thanks for taking the time to let me know, I’m genuinely sorry about that 😕
I’ve updated the description to hopefully help others avoid the same problem. 👍
@@OldWorld_Gaming Link to your video of self-flagellation?
I'm already here, and I'm busy working with my hands, so having someone tell me what's in the article in a nice calm voice is great, and it means I don't have to go and find and read it myself.
You don’t have to be a prick about it. His content is good and refreshing to hear someone who doesn’t scream the news at you. Get a grip
It's not compulsory to watch the video and hearing someone else's thoughts on a release is interesting.
