She however explained what she would do if he did not act how she would like. So he understood how he could act and what to expect based on his actions. Madevil instead decided to hate and terrorise Hurrem instead of Sueliman! What was really offputting was that she was not successful in anything she did apart from killing Mehmet. Forgetting she only had one son whom she spoilt growing up. He demanded, commanded and insisted!! While he was cute many if his actions were not. She was a weak mother in this show. She cries and whines and associates herself with protectors. Hurrem fights, influences and compels. Far from perfect and a huge mental health burden I am sure but she shows us what persistence and consistency to the cause and vision can bring. When she was dying she said exactly what I thought! all of the trauma must manifest somehow! She went through way too much to live! Death of her entire family, loss of her love, crossing the ocean into slavery!! hmmm Jah knows I would have killed myself. Similarly when I think of my ancestors crossing the horrendous middle passage to be brought to the Caribbean from Africa by inhumane human traffickers to be made into slaves!! JAHHHH!
