Canonically it wouldnt really make sense since cooper is a regular grunt turned pilot, he would probably not do well against pilots. Whenever he fights someone more experienced BT does most if the work, BT kills all the mercenaries.

If they wanted to add things like pilot bots to private matches then they could have used the ai and made it so that they could call in titans of their own with customization being completely random (would also be nice if they could hack spectres but I understand how that would be a pain in the ass)

During same period Battle royale mode had just emerged and was getting popular so they pivoted that development into Apex Legends. In one way Apex is Titanfall 3 but also not.
You know what would be cool, if halo and titanfall collaborate with eachother. The unsc already has the mantis and the cyclops from halo wars. Also the spartan would be a cool suit

I always thought it was funny that the player never fought pilots in the Titanfall 2 campaign. Yeah, the player fought titans operated by pilots, but I mean pilots outside of their mechs. I thought it could be an intense encounter against a super fast and agile opponent. What's shown here was actually along the lines of what I thought it could look like.

Did the early development of TF2 had plans of AI pilots in SP but later scrapped? if that was the case I guess that feature was too advanced at its time that they didnt put it in the finals. That AI pilot feature kinda rivals that of COD MW22's AIs in DMZ when you play solo and GROUNDED instead of the usual GUN & RUN style COD is nowawadays. yet animation quality especially that side step to dodge our shot, is so solid for a 2016 game

When models are shown in gray, its usually a playbast of the animation captured in a 3d software with more light in scene, sometimes making it look bright or better
