My father died not long after Phillip Hughes died, dads celebrant for the funeral was by a guy named Phil Hughes. At the time I was a little freaked out by it and when watching cricket sometimes a thought about it crosses my mind. Miss ya dad!

My brothers and I went to a Victorian Sheffield Shield final, which Victoria won. The coach at the time was legendary great, David Hookes. The next morning, I heard that Hookes had died from a king hit by a bouncer at a nightclub they were at to celebrate their win.

He was an old bully of mine who I never saw again since year 5 (5th Grade) of primary school. Do I feel sad? Idk tbh. A dude who became a footy player in the NRL who once treated me like shit for no reason and never apologised for it is now no longer here. It’s hard to have anything to say about it, questioning whether I should feel sorrow or relief.
