I really hope that Nintendo will not do the stupid mistake of naming this console "New Switch XL" or "Switch Deluxe" as it would be really confusing. They cannot afford to make the same mistake as the Wii U.

You and about 10,000,000 other unoriginal people, who don’t understand why in today’s world, that name will be detrimental to sales, like New 3DS and Wii U were. Parents that buy consoles for their kids, aren’t Xbox gamers that can decipher between Xbox One X, Series X and Series S.
They understand numbers. Switch 2 or nothing. What’s after Super Switch? Switch 64? Then Switchcube? Switchii? SwitchiiU? Switchswitch?

@@DWandLoZfan_and_KnucklesYeah, because the Super Nintendo came out with only the Genesis for competition, and it looked NOTHING like the NES. It was far less confusing.
If the Switch 2 looks almost identical to the Switch, it’s going to have the same problems the Wii U had. It looked too much like a Wii, so people thought it WAS a Wii.
I’m still waiting for just ONE person to answer my question. If they go with “Super Switch,” what comes next after that? Switch 64?

Switch Omega works for me
Ya can't say "new" or "2" to the next gen console cuz isn't it supposed to be a completely new console? The "new" on the 3DS is the "OLED" on switch, so it can't
I think new Nintendo switch could be a fitting name for this one. Similar to the new 3ds lineup, this console seems like a heavy improvement of hardware, but still a switch, and also would have exclusive games and play the full switch library. The new could even be the same new branding as those 3ds systems. This is just a prediction but I am seeing a lot of similarities in the leaks/rumors we are getting
New Nintendo 3DS xl was in the same generation as the other 3ds's. I hope it's clear and just switch 2 people were confused by Nintendo before with 3ds and wii u don't be creative with the name switch 2 and it will sell

I can see Nintendo using a brand new name for their console, and have a "Lite" model and a "Switch" model.
Switch being the name of the model form factor instead of the actual name of the console.

Please... DO NOT be New Switch... that sounds like a really boring and uninteresting name. Really hope it's just a placeholder. Also it sounds like something that would be just a newer version of the first Switch like the Switch Lite and the Oled is. Honestly, I would prefer it if they just call it the Nintendo Ounce.
