How much worth was Lucifer devil face? Why did the production crew have to sacrifice wings Amenadiel had? You thought it was a simple coincidence the character shed his wings so easily? The answer to that is very simple - the effects applied to make these wings are extremely expensive!
The VFX team had to keep only one character with wings after all - which were the most expensive part of the post-production and the most resourceful to create! Several people were working on 16 feather textures to make Lucifer look like a true angel!
You will be as much impressed by the Lucifer best moments which include Kevin Alejandro being lifted by Tom Ellis! Lauren German would be jealous! After Lucifer season 4 ending we can't wait for a return of our favourite character in Lucifer season 5!

I knew it by the skyline view and photo view, and no such lux location plus in some great movies they create they never use actual bcuz of liability of things breaking sued mechanism overall. So they prop their own Stage.

LOL, is no wonder Lucifer never used any of his powers in season 3 this resulted in the show being cancelled as it became an ordinary detective show. You cannot have a show called Lucifer and not display any powers. No wonder they gave him only the power of desire because is too expensive to give him lightning bolts, fire, etc and no wonder Amendial cannot stop time anymore that is too expensive as well. Which begs the question how does the flash do it with budget they have.
@@abbysands9510 look deeply into the fights of the flash though, it's literally animated, which is absolute shit. I don't know about season, but in season 2 (or season 3, i don't know anymore), those animations just didn't sit right with me.

They look real but there are tons of other films with vfx that can take up to months to render and not just hours. Imagine building a city brick by brick, add traffic ai algorithms, build a spaceship, put some clouds, animate everything and then press a button just to render and it will take months to render. It's simply more than some easy feathers...

This makes you appreciate the Marvel special effects team even more, if making Lucifer’s wings is this difficult, imagine making a Marvel movie.
True but Marvel movies have the budget to do so without worrying about it. The hard work it takes though while impressive, they also have the funds to hire more people to work on the cgi. (Assuming that’s how it works).

Anyone who hates on this show is psychotic. I've cried along with Tom Ellis' songs, and the fantastic acting by everyone involved just tops it off
Definitely good but very very flawed nonetheless.
Can't believe they said that people moaned about the special effects especially with the wings.
Whoever moaned must be complete nobs and nerds, just like anyone else who moans about anything and everything in TV shows.
It is time people started to appreciate entertainment for what it is entertainment.
The special effects were fantastic not one single problem with them.
Appreciate what you get and if you think you can do better with equipment, time and money available go apply for the job.
I am 37 y.o. and I do remember what sfx looked like in tv shows back when I was a teen and watching Buffy, SG-1, Sabrina teenage witch, Xena warrior princess, Sliders , etc., so I do appreciate tv shows how they are now, even when sometimes I do see something could be done better I would never have an audacity to whine about it. But in Lucifer genuinely I never thought something was wrong, they did a splendid job with resources and time they had. And yes, especially wings are impressive.

Honesty I think his devil face is handsome, his personality for this movie just fits so much... Well done, i've watched ALL 4 seasons over ALL quarantine, that and Arrow, I've watched Arrow over and over since season 4, I'd like to tell my kids someday about Arrow, i'm scared that i'll forget things like this. Each of these shows own this special episode. We see Tom Ellis playing his part as Lucifer at "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3" (The Flash) on S6, ep09 where Constantine meets Lucifer.
Sorry if I confused you, but I haven't watched all the seasons of these shows yet, but I have seen the crossover clip. You can search it on TH-cam or Google it. Maybe someone else can give you a better explanation. Have a good day!

To me, Lucifer's CG is a masterpiece in my opinion.
Yes, you could see some green screen there and then but it is not distracting as from a MCU movie or James Cameron movie.
It did what it could with its budget and time. That bloody wing is a perfection.

I skipped watching Lucifer's show on Netflix thinking it's a horror movie based on its title (Lucifer), but then I decided to watch it. Boy! am glad I did, and now am hooked and can't get enough of it. The casts are amazing, especially the character (Lucifer) himself, not to mention his accent. Loving the chemistry of Lucifer and Chloe tho. Visual effects are great. Awesome show!👍 Now, I gotta go back to watch Luci on Netflix🥰
Let’s be real CGI in tv shows are more realistic than CGI in movies
Um... No... not at all. Even the biggest TV shows barely have half the budget of most modern feature films. Also they have way more time to perfect the CGI because the scenes are heavily condensed. Imagine comparing 2 hours of CGI from a movie to hundreds of hours of a TV show. Even with Marvel's budget it wouldn't be practical spending that much money on a whole series with movie-like CGI. Don't get me wrong though I love TV shows, moreso than movies in fact. But when it comes to CG quality... movies have an advantage
hands down, the best scene in the show is Lucifer and Chloe playing "Heart & Soul" on the piano together

My hubby and me just LOVE the show. We love the wings and the Devil face. The scene where he wraps Chloe with his wings to protect her and then flies back in through the smoke is our favorite scene. And, the fight scene with Lucifer, Amenadiel, Michael and Maze is also in our top favourites. Love the whole show, the fantastic, sarcasm, wit, humor, action, plots, romance... it's awesome there's a little bit of everything for everyone.

I don’t know how In tf people critique and criticize Lucifer green screen shots, I can’t imagine I long the cgi procedures take just on one shot to be perfection. I love Lucifer and think they did AMAZING with the cgi.
If that's the case. Then I really... Really... Wish for someone who is a multi-billionaire to sponsor the series. I really wish to see that CGI.
Especially if there is a fight between those celestials... Maybe something like fight in the air. Or using abilities aside from superhuman strength like throwing fireballs or cast lightning or something.
So far only Amenediel who finally got his wings back was able to perform a bit of flying scene, when he was bringing Charlotte's soul to Heaven.
Like I said especially the fight between non-human or celestials fight? I mean I like that ending battle at Season 4. But it does turn me off for a but since they are fighting like a human. Don't get me wrong... The fight was cool and well choreograph... But this fights is between Devil, Angel and Demons. So perhaps a bit of flashy moves like using his Devil form or something? Or atleast Amenadiel who already got his wings back uses his Angelic form in the fight? I mean... Lucifer is based from DC comics, right? Supposedly all Main characters and Main Villains were to be in Live Actions series or movies would have been in CGI most of the time when it comes to fighting scenes?
Man... I really... Really... Really wish and hope someone who is a multi-billionaire would sponsor on it. He or she doesn't really have to sponsor all of the episodes for the entire seasons. At least the episodes that need the CGI with the fighting scenes. Or at least just sponsor all of the CGI budget and choreography would be enough I think... Oh my god, I'm such a fan of the Lucifer's devil face , you can’t even imagine. Having all these frames with his 3.24 ep's model in this video is just a treasure! I adore drawing him in his devil form. He doesn't seem disgusting to me or terrifies me at all, on the contrary, he seems to me very beautiful. *o* Some monstrously aesthetic. So thanks for this video! I hope that in season 5 we will see a lot of Hell and devil form shots, it is so glorious.
My favorite series, I loved all part, so I think it just perfect the effect, the cars, looks, speaks, characters, story. All. My favorite was the emotion how really good it give it back, so some parts I cryed because was created this well. So I don't have one bad words it's just epic.

Bad budget or not , the tv show was pretty impressive , hilarious and perfect , looking forward to see season 5.
