    I should have mentioned I am on a stage 2 pressure plate too. My dual friction clutches would only hold to 240ish hp for me.

    WOW, I LOVE THE LOPEY IDLE. HOW BIG IS THE ENGINE, WHAT CAM ARE YOU RUNNING AND HOW MUCH HP. IM BUILDING A MUCH MORE SEDATE 2095CC FOR MY BUG.

      @@michaelyoung1901 thanks for the compliment. My engine is a 2234cc which is 92 p/c 84 crank. Cam is a SLR custom grind, roughly.550 lift 293 duration 112 line centers. I've never dyno it so I'm not sure on HP.

    I have the black magic disk in mine and I don't like it. I live in a much heavier traffic area and have to start and stop way more than you. Still squeaks after a year. It holds ALL the power, but just is harsh on take off.

    WHAT 5 SPEED TRANY ARE YOU USING? HOW HARD WAS THE INSTALL? AND WHAT SHIFTER ARE YOU USING???

      @@michaelyoung1901 gene Berg with their shifter. It wasn't too bad to do. A little welding and some trial fitting.

    I noticed you must have a overdrive transmission . May I ask what kind and where you got it? I drive on the road and I need to lower the RPMS on the highway. The engine sounds great.

      @ddk56vw  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I run a Gene Berg five speed. It's a kit that Berg enterprise sells. You will have to find someone to put it together for you like Rancho.

      5th gear in a Berg should be a stock 4th gear .89 to allow a close ratio 3-4 gear. If you want lower RPM on freeway use a 3.88 pinion and bigger tire although fan speed becomes an issue. You should be 3800-4200 on freeway for cooling

      @@dsshowerpan I actually do have a close ratio 3 and 4 but my fourth is a 0.82 with a 388 ring gear and Weddle does sell a 0.77 gear. I like to keep engine speeds around 2600 rpm my engine seems to like it there.
