Hi Smith, I enjoy your content very much. I have had an entire city on a single loop and I still have had traffic jams and unhappy Sims. I find putting 3 No. Short raod sections in an area away from the Sims houses, then surrounding them with the cheapest fountains 12 No. In total, and as long as you do not remove any items connected because then the road resets. I then sureound them with water towers and wind turbines etc. Doing this at an early earliest possible level is the optimum approach. This saves hundreds os thousands of simoleans and gives you the option to upgrade your roads whenever and to what level you find most aesthetically pleasing. It works like a dream. ❤

I’m currently playing this game and in my capital city I’m trying my hardest to build a city that in my eyes is a beautiful one. To be completely honest with you I would much rather have a city that is not completely full of skyscrapers. I would much rather. Want to be able to keep some of my buildings maybe it’s just condos or apartment buildings and zone them in a certain area or something to make my city feel more realistic. however the only problem with this is that as long as the buildings are not fully upgraded the stupid hardhat sign will be floating above it all the time bugging the crap out of me. I was wondering if it were possible for you to somehow ask EA to provide an option for us to disable the hardhat signs at Will please. If this is possible I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
Rhys Malcolm I really wish that option would happened in SimCity, like in City Mania, when a house reaches level 5 or 10, it doesn’t upgrade because of fusion, and you can just keep it like that!

Suggestion - don't move buildings around. Just delete red roads and rebuild it. You'll have to do it every time. But you'll save big money. Just demolish and rebuild basic roads.

How can I make epic buildings in new regions? I have a full developed capital city building next to a casino in canyon map, and it just doesn't give me the opportunity to start the project, why?
All those cross streets just take up space that you could use for parks and more buildings you only need roads going either vertically or diagonally no cross streets

Is it me or they changed the parks and the building services placement requirements? I remember I could fit a little park, a little fire station and a little police station in a little square but now the requirement says they need to be connected to a road..
Jacob, you uh have to build them. Click on your landscape icon and use ponds and lakes to put your river anywhere. Note, if you want to build bridges and river restaurants you need to use the Lake feature. There are lakes naturally at the beginning of the game but they hold no real estate value which kinda sucks.
Will definitely utilise these tips. Do you have any recommendations for a lvl 15? Atm I'm stalling because i know when i hit 16 I will need to buy hospitals. I'm saving up for a full set of the big fire & police stations, a university and the energy sources without a pollution radius. Should I bulldoze some residential buildings and instead focus on zones with a lot of parks and education/transport things so I can get luxury residential areas? Thanks
I'm on level 15 too, I made 2 rows of residential houses and a wide section of space filled with parks, fire and police stations, etc... in between. I don't really focus on residential houses that are grouped together. My total current population is at 85,000, the parks contribute about 30,000. I don't really have gridlocks but I still have heavy traffic congestion for some reason :(

You DO know that the level is reflective of all three regions that I have unlocked. My capital city has most of the population. Do your research buddy!

Don't do the zigzag. When you have to upgrade the street you'll have to upgrade the whole length of it and it'll be expensive.

Yes, I noticed this too. Long lines with no cross sections give you a bit more space in larger cities.

You can download BlueStacks from Google and its basically a program that simulates a tablet and you can basically play mobile games on it

those road layouts don't look realistic to me. i'll keep my grid boxes layout.
Just plow the roads and lay them back down. Eventually it'll stay on a road no one uses, for example, in front of a monument.
