@@LawrenceW78 i suppose, for 80s kids. However those of us born in the 90s(1996 for me) were more influenced by Conroy and other popular characters' actors. I was never a fan of Transformers until I watched the first live-action film, nor did I know much about it.

@@jswatch9270 Don't look back at what he didn't do. Look back at what he did do. Played Batman for 30 years, brought multiple generations to love the character. Gave life to a character in animation that redefined not only Batman, but his universe as a whole. Mr. Freeze's origin, introducing Harley Quinn, Batman Beyond, made Batman actually feel human(Before writers turned the character into a near-emotionless robot in later series such as Justice League), and many other feats.

You know someone's a true legend when a simple cold reading hits you harder than the actual version. We owe every bit of respect and gratitude to Conroy, he will be missed.
Yeah, I've seen this scene dozen times. Never hit me hard like it did just now, hearing Kevin Conroy's voice.

I could have sworn I heard this score somewhere else but it turns out it's just similar to another of Hans Zimmer's scores - The Da Vinci Code. He's one of the best for sure.

I grew up in an abusive home and I didn't have much in the way of hope, but Batman the Animated Series was a bright spot for me as a preteen. Thank you Kevin Conroy for your voice acting all those years. You might have helped save my life and I then have went on to help save countless other because of you. 😥

You may already be well aware, but Kevin, too, grew up in an abusive household. He had to live a double life, in a time where expressing his true self was dangerous. He knew pain, injustice, trauma, and it wasn't until he was 38 that he auditioned for Batman. He meditated on all that darkness. It shaped the character, and the voice, but he also rose from that darkness. He Is the Batman, Bruce Wayne, and Kevin Conroy. A true superhero. And his love, kindness, and honesty Does live on through his fans, those who knew him, and all who remember him. Heroes never die.

First time watching this and I’m getting teary eyed. The thing about Kevin Conroy is the sheer conviction you can hear in his voice; a conviction perfectly fit for a character such as Batman. There will be none better. RIP Kevin Conroy

Exact reason why this is my favorite of The Dark Knight Trilogy. It might not have my favorite villain (Bane), but the message is so powerful in this movie. Sometimes what you get is not what you need but what you deserve. When the time is right you will get what you want.

This brings a tear to my eye. This was the first time I ever cried over a celebrity’s death because I grew up with Kevin Conroy as Batman. They say with the wrong voice, a character can be forgotten but with the right voice, that character can become a legend. Kevin had the perfect voice for Batman. His voice fit perfectly because he brought this intimidating and dark side to the character that no one else could. From _The Animated Series_ to the _Arkham Games_ , he was the voice of our childhood. Batman will never be the same again. RIP Kevin Conroy, thank you for everything. 🦇

I never had issues with Bail's portrayal of Batman, but goddamn, do all of these lines hit different in Mr Conroy's voice. He is unmistakeably the Batman.

I loved the animated series. Didn’t watch every episode, but grew up with Kevin Conroy voicing Bruce/Batman. When I watched Justice League Secret Origins, I grew new respect for Batman. No powers whatsoever, & he saved the league as well as the planet. The Dark Knight’s ending helped me grasp exactly what it meant to be Batman.
Thank you Kevin Conroy for all the wonderful memories. You taught us there’s hope even in the darkest of times. May you rest in peace alongside JDF, Stan Lee, & my dad.
I grew up listening to his voice and watching the shows thinking "Now that's what I call the Dark Knight". No one can ever replace Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman. To me he will always be Vengeance, He will always be the Night, He will always be BATMAN!!!
