- Ello- haven't made an animatic in a very long time but here's something I've been working on for many months. (College slowed it down like crazy so you'll see many different types of designs for these characters as well, my bad. :D )

This is very underrated
I think it's funny that when elytra were introduced, back when the way to fly was hitting yourself midair with a punch bow, Grian said he didn't wanna be the kind of player who just flies everywhere. He got addicted to flight so fast, along with his fascination with dancing parrots, now he's depicted in fan animations with feathery wings and is generally known for his natural flight skill.
The only Minecraft player more associated to elyrra and flight than Grian is Phil
Also the fact that most people say the watchers gave him his wings when the watchers were the fans. They were the evo equivalent to chat. So since we gave Grian wings, in a way so did the watchers
He also murderd every parrot but one
i quite enjoy animated Grian with pesky bird motif.

This gives me so many ideas, but the main one is that the watchers get bored easily and this can lead to their desire to interfere with mortals. Grian doesn’t want to hurt his friends, but the urge to meddle grows too strong sometimes. (See: all of his pranks/wars). One day, he has the idea to create a game to calm his boredom, shaping this small, alternate universe to his liking. He invites his friends and chaos ensues, but in the end they return and remain friends. (There are angst possibilities and lore but I’ll leave that up to other people).
THIS IS INCREDIBLY UNDERRATED WHAT THE HECK
The song choice, the transitions from 3rd life through to Double Life, Grian's link with the Watchers... I loved all of it
Not to mention to Hermitcraft at the end.
I love everything about this animatic honestly.
And I love how grey Grian is, especially when he decides to listen to chat about doing more life series (The Watchers)
I really want to watch a movie about a dude stranded on some kind of land with like 11 other strangers and they have zero memories of who they are and as the world goes on and the bogyman virus whatever slowly kills them off and by the end main character wakes up in the same situation only that he remembers the last incarnation of this situation and slowly comes to the realization he is a god who gave himself amnesia and placed himself with 11 other beings he created for whatever purpose to find about himself, that would make a crazy good plot
2:53 looks like Grian is speaking directly to the camera, which fits.
honestly, something i really like is the fact that grian hugs with his wings too, i dont know why but i absolutely love it 😭😭

this is FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!!!! I love all the transitions from series to series, and watching Grian lose so much of his friends was so heartbreaking.. You conveyed his grief IMPECCABLY well. Definitely subbing, this is SO underrated.

I love the idea of him being presented as a biblical angel
It’s actually based on Grian’s past SMP lore, Evo; where they have to go through the evolution of Minecraft, starting from beta. In that, there are the Watchers (basically gods and also the actual viewers) and Grian became one of them at the end of the Evo SMP.
But I get how you came to the biblical angel thing; the fan canon design is very biblical angel.
