Just visited Lee Quarry yesterday evening for the first time. It was warm, dry and dusty - absolutely brilliant. Hats off to the people who design and build these trails (actually, better keep your hats on, it's very rocky up there !).
There are so many different bits to visit. You can spend hours weaving your way round from zone to zone. There seems to be an infinite number of run-offs or sheep tracks linking things together. So you can try a jump, then loop round and try it again, and again.
Looks bloomin' great, I'm coming down from Glasgow for a blast round this!!
This week was Gisburn Forest, next week we'll do Lee Quarry :D
I am a diver (part of my job) and i love mountain biking, every time i go Querry diving, i always thought it would be nicer instead of turning the old querry into a dive center, building as a mountain biking spot.... There it is.
it is really good, worth checking out if you are in the area. been there about 10 times? never got bored of it
Looks superb, gonna get up there in the next few weeks.....Hope my skills are enough
I'd love to see this many people up yhere
Goin there on my bike tommorow! :)
Just north of Machester in Bacup, OL13 0BB.
It can get busy, but I wouldn't say that you ever hold anyone up, its a big quarry with lots of trail to ride.
Should have got Dan Atherton in. He knows a thing or two about quarry modifications. Check out Llangynog! Mind you I imagine the Council Health & Safety officers might have something to say. Nice Video tho
Shame shame there wasn't more footage of the trails, going to hit it up tomorrow & see how she rides in sub zero conditions.
i was there last sunday night, muddy as buggery! so not sure on the "rides well in any weather" haha
well thats a lie it was still pretty enjoyable.
Some sort of Giant at 1:10.
very different from gisburn. Its not as long and way more compact, head up to cragg for a longer ride, like a giant pump track up there. just working on a gisburn vid now.
Great beard, kind sir.

can anyone recommend where to rent a bike near here? this place looks awesome!
Where is this place?
1:20 Jesus mountain bikes.
grizzly adams did have a beard
what bike is that 1:10
How busy is it? Is there always people wanting to get past you if you are not an expert rider?
Does it cost to visit here?
i remember that there was a motorbike trials bike event there can i bring a motorbike there whenever for free ?
bob bobbington no
nope, it's free parking and free access to the trails.
Its a good but its not gnarly enough for DH. For everything else its sick.
I agree
If only it still looked like that, a lot of it’s been ruined by Motos, a lot of it has weathered away from its former glory. It’s still a good spot but don’t expect it to look like this video.
it does now, it's had volunteers fixing up the trails this year. visit again 🙂
