I dealt with Fanatec warranty repair in late 2023 and it took 3 weeks from the day i sent it to get the HW back in perfect condition. This HW was even bought used(but with warranty left), so i think you are in good hands, especially now that Corsair owns the company. It still is a bummer to wait though. I kept my DD Pro 8nm as a spare base just in case my Clubsport DD+ 15nm should need a warranty repair. Hope it works out for you fast. Cheers
I've heard great things about sim magic. Most people in a blind comparison prolly wouldn't be able to tell the difference between sim magic and asetek ffb wise. I'd get whichever ones cheaper, no sense in paying more for such similar products. You can't go wrong with either of these.
Sorry to hear. I was scared off of Fanatec products after doing some research before buying a DD. I have been using Moza stuff for a bit now. So far it’s rock solid. Hope to see you on the grid soon. Peace.
That's rough, sorry to hear it. I have the exact same base and it failed three times over the course of about 18 months. I had to send it in each time for repair and the process was extremely frustrating. Each case took at least two months to resolve and communication was... poor, to say the least. Tack on two wheel rims and two sets of V3 pedals that also failed with even more frustrating return processes and I will never again buy from this company. I need a new load cell but I refuse to even pay them the $50 it would cost to replace it. Saving up for a new set of pedals instead. It's too bad, because I really liked the hardware when it worked. But the failure rate coupled with absolutely terrible customer service has been a poor enough experience that I'm simply done with them. Maybe Corsair will get this company straightened out, but I won't be sticking around to find out. Hope it works out for you.
@@RedPony220 same thing going on right now. They sent me an email on the 13th with trouble shooting suggestions. Non worked. I sent them more videos on the same day (13th) to show the problem still persists, no response since then
@@nea_racing7 The only suggestion I can offer is to be persistent. To Fanatec's credit, they did replace my base each time with a new one, so that was good. And while the process did take too long in my opinion, the real issue was the lack of communication. Once I sent in my base I was left in the dark as to what was happening or what I could expect. Then a new base would arrive (magically) about a month after sending it in with no message from Fanatec. I have no doubt they'll get you sorted out eventually, but it's just so frustrating to have to wait without knowing what's happening.

Good luck mate. To me it sounds like you DD1 is bricked from an update. It definitely could be hardware but maybe not. I had an experience like this a couple years back during an upgrade early on. I know they have improved the upgrade process since then. My case support was able to get me information on fixing it without sending it back. SORRY to hear it and best of luck.
Thanks. If it’s a software issue, that would be a lot better but if it’s a hardware issue, then only God knows how long it’s going to take to get resolved
Did you get it sorted? I had similar issue after driver update. My DD2 wasnt recognized properly, although it did work in PC Compatibility Mode, not in regular PC Mode. I deleted all the Fanatec wheels in Device Manager-Container files-show hiiden files and reinstalled newest drivers and got it all back to normal. It took a restart for it to recognize my wheels.
@@nea_racing7 Bummer. As per another comment I would try another computer or laptop with the base only and see what happens. Also wouldn't rule out a power supply problem.
Good luck. I had a Fanatec GT DD Pro do a similar thing. The RMA repair process has been bad. They've had my WB since Nov 26th and I'm yet to get status if they plan to repair or replace a warranty repair. I sincerely hope your experince is better than mine.
