Love all your videos! Very helpful. One question, is it possible to clone the old main laptop HDD to a blank new M2 drive that you just installed in the laptop? Seems cheaper than buying an adapter to do it outside the laptop enclosure.

It'll run a lot faster. You have to check what it currently uses. Most likely a 2.5" SATA drive. Crucial, Kingston, Samsung, and sandisk are the best SSDs I've used for the price and quality.

@@ItsBinhRepaired Hi (we bought the ssd 2TB that matched my laptop version based on Crucial search website). My latitude kept saying hard drive not installed with the new cloned ssd. We rebooted the computer and cloned again with the option to erase what was on the Crucial new ssd and still got the message hard drive not detected. We tried to put back the OEM ssd 256 gigs and it says hard drive not detected.
However, we removed the OEM ssd from Dell and got the Crucial plugged to the laptop by the usb cable and we were able to start windows and all. We did something wrong by troubleshooting so many times and might chose an option that turned off the reading of the internal hard drive. Or it got damaged. What can we do to fix this?
