Malcolm was the foundation and Angus was the roof. You can't have a home without either. As much as you don't want your home sinking into the ground you don't want it flooding either.

Malcolm is a beast and a great songwriter, I think he is listed on almost every song as a writer. Just record yourself and try and consistently play his parts in time like he does and I bet there is some humbling coming for you.
You listen to isolated tracks from both brothers, and realize that there was a ton of precision at work. Malcolm created that cliche steady foundation that the entire song flowed from, and angus would freely tell you that Malcolm was the creative source for the riffs, the rhythmic machine that kept it all together and charging in one direction.
I'm not a lead player, I don't really have an ear for solos and I'm all about the riffs, so I vibe more with Malcolm. If I had to write a solo, it'd be slow, simple and with sustained notes

He responded that he wasn't even the best guitarist in that band. Anyone who pays attention should know they are both awesome guitar talents. Glad you brought this up.
Angus doesn't do the "duck walk." While Chuck Berry fans may tend to call it that, Chuck himself called that his "scoot." With the duck walk both feet are on the floor.
I think they're both amazing at their jobs in the band. Malcom was a great guitarist but wouldn't have been as nearly a good front man or lead player as Angus. Just because of the energy and raw attitude Angus can give on his instrument. I love them both but Angus is gotta be #1 personally
I think most people start off with Team Angus but eventually end up on Team Malcolm

As a kid i did not realize how important good rhythm is, solos can be messy but not rhythm imo
I just did a AC/DC tribute for a fund raiser, learn g Malcolm’s parts is not as easy as it seems but talk about a lesson in songwriting !
I wouldn't call him underappreciated, he's literally been called the best rhythm player ever on multiple occasions lol
