- Southern Blue Ridge Parkway Smoky Mountain Motorcycle Adventure Part 7 - This morning was a fantastic ride on the southern portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway, from Cherokee to Asheville NC. This section is MUCH more fun than the northern parts, as it winds up and down the mountains rather than just running along top of them or the valleys. We hit some other twisties between the house and Parkway but my SENA glitched and did not engage the helmet mic so I omitted the first hour or so of riding, it was all wind noise. We arrived at the Biltmore and found our way down the SUPER long driveway to the ticket counter...

This is by far my favorite of your latest rides! The view was amazing! I haven't even finished the video and I'm only about 4 minutes in and it's awesome how you see nothing but clouds off to your right just beyond the grass and trees on the shoulder. Looks like Heaven. Thanks for sharing.
Good video. Warning for those who are not famioliar with this road, though: In the Virginia section, there can be bad pavement or gravel in curves, deer everywhere, and I have rounded the nose of a mountain to run into a blasting thunderstorm. In Spring or Fall, those same places can see hoarfrost (frozen fog) on EVERYTHING. Please ride safe. I'll let y'all pass my Harley too LOL. I'm in it for the scenery when I ride the Parkway.
I love riding the Smokey's! I think you did a great job on the video this trip! Especially the lack of wind noise from the mic. I hate videos with wind noise . GOOD JOB!
Thanks for another great video, I feel like I learn a lot just watching. Keep it up brother, please! You are a delight to watch and listen, thank you very much.
I MET YOU ON GAS STATION, WHEN YOU WERE ON THE WAY TO MOUNTAINS . GOOD VIDEO
Absolutely beautiful!
BRP is one of my favorite rides!
I would rather ride a lone, than with an erratic rider.
You do know the speed limit is 45MPR on the Blue Ridge?
This is why when you ride the parkway on a bike the rangers have zero tolerance for going just over the speed limit.
Hey Bryan love everything you do. Why don't you like us Harley guys? We all share the same road! Big John
Bryan talk about keep your eyes on the road. There won't be much of a chicken strip on those tires when you're all said and done. Love the sound of an FJR. Still hoping to hear and see a review of the Triumph trophy from Bryan
I really enjoy your videos and commentary. I was wondering what kind of camera/mic setup you use. The balance of engine sound and voice is great. I am heading up there next month and would like to do some videos for my own use. Thanks.
One man parade everyone dont ride over the speed limit like crochrockit rider people like you have a need for adrenaline just dont let it get ya killed. You may pass my cruiser one day I drive under speed limit on purpose so my gears do the breaking and control is a must love the video.
next time (assuming you go with this group again) you should camp out at the end of a tunnel and send people through one at a time for some hot rod runs. especially those with great acoustic bikes.
+MeddyTheYettie22 that would be cool :)
Amazing, do you ever feel anxious riding in the mountains?
just a regular rider here, but sport bike buddy is leaning out of corners vs into... hes fighting himself every corner so of course its more fatiguing
That there road is a Federal Rd. Speeding ticket can be $$$.
Bryan, what gear are you in most of the time on the twisties? Are you changing gear "clutchless" ? Also what is the speed limit on these roads ?
Curious what app that is? Thanks ahead of time!! :)
which camera are you using, nice clear video!
What's the speed limit on that road? I'm planning a trip there, but it's always hard to gauge the time needed to complete it, based on mileage alone.
45 unfortunately. But if it's not busy...
What's the most miles put on an FJR?
How do you find gas stations?
$300 and up for speeding on this road!!
Blue Ridge Parkway / Skyline Drive is my favorite ride. Riding with sport bikes is my least favorite. They remind me of this rather sad song. th-cam.com/video/l9zcLAUp5E0/w-d-xo.html
The rider in front of you is scaring the crap out of me watching this. His line selection and lean angle are terrible, and if he keeps riding like this, will eventually encounter bad luck. Encourage him to get some training please. I recommend Yamaha Champ U and MotoJitsu.
