September is definitely the time to be riding in NC, we go there every year about the 3rd week. Weather is not quite as hot, people are back in school so tourist traffic is less. You hit the perfect time of year.
Need to let me in on next trip! I live in West Tennessee and would love to link up with other like minded riders. Looked like a blast! Godspeed my friend!
Hey really like your videos anyway, but this trip is great. I live in Maryville and would like to get a copy of the maps you guys followed. Some of the scenery looked familiar, but would love to travel some of the other roads you traveled. Thanks for your channel, keep the great vids coming.
Jim Brown. Most of the roads that make up the routes are directly from Butler Maps. That's my go to source. I also use Mad Maps. Between those two I just fill in the roads. A word of caution, or adventure depending how you look at it, sometimes filler roads aren't the best. It helps in that case to look at Google maps to get an idea of the intended roads surface.
thanks for a great ride along, what a great road to ride on thanks those roads would be alot of work on my Spyder and not nearly as much fun to ride, lol
Those roads are excellent, more like what we have in the UK in the countryside. I'm curious, are cigars addicting like cigarettes or no? Would you feel it if you went without one for a month? Obviously coming from a non-smoker.
Much smoother pace on this video, accelerating at the right time, slow in fast out. Read "the pace" by Nick Ienatsch, you want that smooth flow when riding roads like this, when you get into that rhythm you don't need to brake much and its a fun ride. I use very light sunglasses when riding in NC, tough going in and out of trees with anything dark on
I'm developing a motorcycle smartphone app that will send a text "thank you" 😀to motorists who let will you pass. Disclaimer there will be in-app purchases. These will be the text bundles for motorists who won't let you pass... polite, beg, insult, profanity, and WTF.

26:20. What an awesome sign to see. Steep, winding road. Next 26 miles.

Time to call the Discovery Channel!
Brian, thank you very much for sharing these videos from your trip. Can you please share the gpx or google coordinates?
Fantastic vids btw! Someone should review the interphone f5mc, or see if they have a booth at upcoming show.
If you ride in NC in October, you start running into tourist traffic again as the leaf peepers show up for the fall foliage.
Hey, those roads are great. Can you please upload/share the maps.

There is no addiction with cigars.
Could you ride those roads two up?
+darcy ward sure, slower
I'm really enjoying this series. Where in the USA is
Smokey Mountain ?
The Smokeys are in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. Some of the best motorcycle roads I've ridden.

The other one had the audio a couple seconds out of sync, look at my wrist.
What iPhone case you use? I take it that it's waterproof?
Lifeproof Fre
Transiton shield sounds like it's not such a great idea after watching this.
it's not the best idea going in and out of full sun constantly for sure. I absolutely love it at home.
Pack your old vid files on a 3tb or so external hd.
Yeah the video quality bums me out but I love this series.
+James Townsey what are you talking about?
The streaming quality at high speeds.
+James Townsey oooh well that's just the bandwidth limit of TH-cam unfortunately.
