    Tushar is the arranger and composer and keyboard player here.
    Tushar had gone to see a concert of Indian classical instruments with the daughter of one of the star performers. He witnessed the father musician be disrespected by the promoter to the extent of denying the man his pay for the performance.
    Tushar realized that there was a very limited audience for the classical instruments since everyone was listening to modern music being played on western instruments.
    Tushar then decided to create access to the classical instruments through modern western music. This is one example. Please react to more of his stuff.

    Try "Pirates of Carribean" And Interstellar cover from Indian Jam Project, both are a masterpiece. FUN FACT: You can also try "Believer" By Indian Jam Project, the music is slightly better than the original Imagine Dragons music melody wise. Tushar and Imagine Dragons interviewed one another after that one came out.

  • @sayandey4909
    @sayandey4909 2 ปีที่แล้ว +64

    They're covering the soundtrack from the movie Requiem for a Dream in this. Tushar is a passionate composer as well.
    If you want to learn more about Indian Classical music, there are a few videos by Anuja Kamat on Ragas, 73 Ragas, and of course, there are legends like Mahesh Kale that I would love for you to listen to.
    Also, there's a video about Koushiki Chakraborty training with her father and another where she is training her son.
    Efra, I would love to hear you play some Indian rhythms on drums or other South American percussions. Check out the drumeo video on Indian rhythm for reference.
    Wall-e, I don't know if anyone calls you that, but that's what I hear your brother say 🤷‍♂️, I would love to hear a song from you based on the learnings from Indian Raga systems.
    Anyway, I know it's a long comment, but I absolutely love 💖 your analysis and discussions. Stayed up just to listen to this video. It's 3.30 AM here in India.

    All music lovers would have the same reaction as you have. I love your reaction. Music is a gift from God. It comes to the purest soal. Every musician in India pray first the Goddess mother Saraswati and all the gurus(mentors) before practicing/rehearsal (of their music,act,or art etc) for their blessing.

    Something very unique to indian classical but now adopted in jazz too is that the percussion instrument becomes the lead and other instruments provide the beat. Sometimes it is the singer's catting, sometimes it is a sitar . In this situation, siri became the rhythm and even the flute for cycles.

You should check out Sneha Khanwalkar's MTV show sound trippin, she is a music director who makes music from her surroundings. Each episode she goes to a different Indian city and tries to capture it's sound and comes up with a wonderful song at the end of it. Check out her song Tung Tung from sound trippin.
