OMG, thank you for pointing out the importance of not building the arsenal at the start of the game. So many times, it's cost our team dearly, leaving us stranded and forced to walk on foot to capture early bases!
Update! I got about 80 hours in it and oh my god it’s taken me back to my childhood gaming days. I just got done with a 6 hour server and we came back from the Russians being 4 seconds away from winning. My new favorite game for sure! When you get with a good crew that communicates and strategically takes points it makes this game un matched.
I’ve never really played the supply runner but I met a guy a couple of days ago who taught me the ropes it was awesome running a 4 truck convoy all over the map
The "Machinegun sniper medic"-build will be gone when the next patch drops. You will first need to climb some ranks. You can already play it on the experimental build.
I wish we could see each others rank in passing so we know who put in work. With that I usually go and take bases off the start I don't get my load out until I have ranked up at least one or two times.

If you pause the game and put your ps5 into rest mode. You can turn it back on later and continue where you left off. Down side is you just can’t play anything else In between
Great game! Getting better with every update! I've got thousands hours in game and when ps4 patch dropped it felt like holidays. We were capturing entire bases with 2 people racking up unbelievable killing sprees, talking with dudes from opposing side and explaining how to play before killing them. Was hard not to bully entire team.
It’s super fun and there is a ton to figure out but just take it one step at a time. Play rifleman and follow others around to objectives ask what needs to be done and you’ll start catching on
Put time into anything to figure it out. All it takes is time man. We was all lost at the beginning. Don’t be hard on your self just have fun and play with people and don’t be scared to ask questions
I just spent 4 hours trying it out and by far one of the worst experiences I've had in decades. Mostly a PC gamer. I would literally require an in game guide to stand a chance with this on console controls. Not trying to lose a weekend figuring out HOW to play a game. Hopefully they can clean up the mess in future iterations.
I love stealing radios because I primarily play in the backline to harass bases(guess why I love the addition of suppressors) and listening on Comms finding where people are or going helps me guide where to go, like if sniping one base is better than another

I’m trying to get into this game because my brother got it for me for Christmas so I can play it with him. I am just really struggling to find any enjoyment from it though 😅

Tap L1: Toggles proximity chat on/off Hold L1: Use radio (it will say which frequency on the left of the screen) L1+Square: select between squad chat and the platoon chat. Everyone on your team can hear you in platoon chat.
Also, when you take out your radio from the inventory and hold triangle for a second let's say you'll zoom it in and with freelook be able to switch through any frnq and turn it OF or On

The arsenals rank requirement should be increased to corporal. This forces people to at least go do one thing before they can kit up. Living quarters should stay at sergeant though, if not you run the risk of people wasting supplies on AI at the start of the match. Basically the players need to be forced into building 2 of the 3 (antenna, small Vic, big Vic) things. The ability to build the arsenal forces you to have to communicate with idiots that would team kill you for building a “useless radio” or they say “we already have cars, we don’t need more”. Then they proceed to wait at main for 20 mins till there’s enough supplies for the arsenal and their 200 supply kit
I think it would be fine if you can build the living quarters while still requiring sgt. rank for AI. Yeah it's frustrating when these people have as much power as they do

Anyone know why there are no official Capture and hold servers? Might not be for everyone but it's still something that is in the game and we paid for. Anyone know, if I go to scenario and press to join a C&H will it show up in multiplayer? Or is just offline for me? A bit confused. Help would be appreciated. I'm on PS5.
I’d say 50% of my deaths are caused by friendlies that are throwing temper tantrums that the vic if full. Teamwork is a thing of convenience for transportation. I didn’t think there was a more racist and toxic community than hell let loose. Except in Reforger there isn’t anything that happens to teamkillers, unless the whole team votes them out.
@ Yeah, I usually run supplies so the rest of my team can have shiny expensive kits. Every time I get my squad together at base, a seat in a vic opens up, and squad members start leaving me faster than a bad marriage. Someone sits on the broken helicopter and kills any friendly that looks at it.
Wouldn’t a squad role selection help with armory supply drain, and make the game more realistic/immersive? Especially since the military doesn’t often give the same troop a lmg and a sniper rifle for example
I've argued for this and my own S&S mod has these roles (with 1.3 update I will be able to restrict taking gear from the arsenal to the proper role too), but I don't think BI is interested in doing this

I play Xbox and it’s not to bad gets choppy sometimes but stable most of the time the only problem me n my friends have found is a lot of people are toxic to new players trying to learn
The ai on this game are not affiliated with any faction and shoot real players on sight. So if you are in contact with real players it just be a squad of them and not any ai. With the exception of bases developed enough for you to spawn AI to help defend a base.

- For main base nothing (plus 10 per tick). - For key points (pinkish colour) you need to have connection to main base. After capturing that point, you place radio relay, this will start generating supplies after short countdown, unless if there is more than 1500 supplies in that base (plus 14 per tick if I recall correctly) * - For any other base it depends on numbers of connections to this base (up to plus 5 per tick). Radio relay is not always required for spawning supplies, but it should be a priority anyway* * There are some dependencies based on length of radio connections. There is a lot to unpack here, but I will share one example based on Everon conflict: If you capture Tower Regina (South part of Everon) and you still don't have Morton (west from Tower Regina), then you will be able to capture Morton base with just connection from Tower Regina, but you will not be able to see supplies respawning here and your team will also not be able to respawn here - even if you build radio relay. What is happening there is that connection from Tower Regina has length longer than 2 kilometers. This is enough for your faction to hold this point, but not to function properly. In order to fix it, you need base within range of less than two kilometers, thefore capturing and building radio relay in Camurac will be enough in that case.
Your bases will passively generate supplies if you have an antenna service. But the main supply generator is you, by going and getting them from supply depots or transferring them from one base to another.
Its more deep than hell let loose & more modern setting, the match is actually alot longer in arma, think of it as a open sandbox where the conflict is happening and you do your part to win
Great tutorial....but, people don't care, they don't read manual, change/look at control settings, adjust their mic volume...they just join a game and have no idea. It's strange that shitty games like cod force players through a tutorial (laughable) but BI and their Arma title just let the ignorant run head first into multiplayer. The game should have a FORCED tutorial and a greyed out multiplayer before it's completed.
How about stop bitching about people using aresenals. Maybe ask the developers to incorporate a default class or MOS system so not all 50 US are force to be riflemen with just 6 mags. Theres no reason I shouldnt be able to pick a saw gunner as my default load in character
I love this game so much but I'm lit getting shot no matter what I do or where I go. I stay with teams but I only run into new players who don't know what they're doing either I've genuinely never ran into anyone in the 3 days of playing who knew what to even do

Sergent rank for the ammo depot is a great idea. It could speed up the first fase of the game by a lot.

I love conflict in single-player with AI, though I really should play more MP sessions as it's a cinematic experience everytime.

You can play multiplayer against AI and other players. Its pretty difficult. The AI isnt dumb 😢

Yeah it can be bad sometimes, particularly on Official servers with no moderation. Have you tried community servers?

As someone who doesn't play milsims, i would say it is like hell let loose, but with a way better community. Everyone is on their headsets.

Great tutorial....but, people don't care, they don't read manual, change/look at control settings, adjust their mic volume...they just join a game and have no idea.
It's strange that shitty games like cod force players through a tutorial (laughable) but BI and their Arma title just let the ignorant run head first into multiplayer.
The game should have a FORCED tutorial and a greyed out multiplayer before it's completed.
How about stop bitching about people using aresenals. Maybe ask the developers to incorporate a default class or MOS system so not all 50 US are force to be riflemen with just 6
mags.
Theres no reason I shouldnt be able to pick a saw gunner as my default load in character

I just bought Arma Reforger because cod and battlefield currently are trash can games.

I love this game so much but I'm lit getting shot no matter what I do or where I go. I stay with teams but I only run into new players who don't know what they're doing either I've genuinely never ran into anyone in the 3 days of playing who knew what to even do
