Cap’n I was just about to scream at you that every Farm Truck has to be painted with a roller… and then… there it was!!! My faith in you preserving our small things we farm truck heritage was restored. Thanks bud you warmed my heart once again!!!
Watching you paint while the birds chirped in the background was truly enjoyable. Thank you for making my favorite videos. I watch A LOT of TH-cam and this is my favorite channel.
Always looking forward to Monday and Thursday just to see and hear what you're doing and yammering about. And I never once chuckled at the bee/wasp invasions. 😂
On the bright side of things, my hot minute isn't your hot minute. If my hot minute was your hot minute, you probably wouldn't even have the engine back in. So, your hot minute is doing really well. LOL Thanks for putting out the great content all the time. I love your videos.
Captain is doing a fine job here... Fighting of attacking Wasp's and one-handed door mountings just to name a few of his expertise and death-defying moments here... LOVED THIS !!!
This channel in general and the dump truck series in particular, have become my “new” all time favorite on TH-cam. Been watching off n on for a few years but faithfully since the church limestone recovery-revival series. Love the spontaneity, passion, creativity and original-genuine humor. Thanks for taking the extra time and effort to bring us along on your adventures and projects. You are a genuine original and an inspiration. Blessings to you and your family.
She is definitely coming along nicely. I can't get over what a professional paint job you are doing. Love it, be careful that C&C doesn't want you to be a full time painter😂😂. You are actually making a good useful truck out of what you have. It's definitely not going to rust out much more for a while now.
watching you brush the body of a vehicle reminded me of a funny family joke... when i was around 8 yrs old my dad and i painted the family car with red primer then he chose baby blue paint all brushed on.... well he decided to do this the day before the family reunion and that night it rained...and about 60% of the blue washed off the remainder was streaky so when we went to the reunion all the guys were in the parking lot laughing at the red and blue brush stoked paint job from the day before and my dad said hey "guess god didn't like that shade of blue" lolol... my mom had no choice but to take it stride... bring what you got lol
I grew up in Indiana so I can appreciate the humor and mindset I grew up with. My dad was not mechanical at all so even as child I fixed what was broken by trial and error and kept the cars looking good. My first project was repairing the waffle iron wiring. I was 7. My most ambitious project was prepping my 71 Corolla for new paint job when I was in my teens.
Every time I watch one of these, it reminds me how much any modern car or truck is just a collection of parts, all waiting to go bad or rust. The fact that you can take parts from various trucks and make something out of it is a tribute to your resourcefulness. Keep it up!
Here we go again, only this time we're putting ON parts. I love the way you are still getting the correct answers to your questions. I always get the wrong answers, maybe I'm asking the wrong person. Anyway, the whole project is looking better every time we see it. That's got to be good, if things keep going this way you will have a 6' dump truck on your hands. Keep using the tractor paint, Pole Barn Garage uses it all the time and some of the results are superb., so go for it. If its good enough for Dalton... Keep doing what you do best Mike, best wishes as always from UK.
I think I’m going to miss the Wasteco Canada green but when it’s all blue it will look great. For your next solo door installation see if your floor jack goes high enough and use it under the door hem to carry the weight while you get the bolts started.
Can’t go wrong with the ole school roll up windows, Mike! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Just make a place on the ceiling joist for your glass storage, up out of the way! The wasps come out when the weather gets warmer! lol 🤣😂🤷🏼
Hey Mike simple tip for usong those pttle roller. Get empty paint can and drop a scrap of wood in so it forms a ramp that you can run the roller down into the paint. Its easier than holding the tray. Keep up the great work, im really enjoying this truck build💪
I went to look at a truck similar to your first parts truck, he wanted $11k for it and the body and box were good but I checked all the things that were rotten on yours and sure enough, it was pretty bad. As always, thanks for the free education!
Wimpy wasps, piff! Yellow jackets are a lot more fun than them dirt dobber rip-offs😱. You haven't lived until you have been chased and mercilessly stung and bit over and over again by a nest of those demon spawn. Truck is coming along nicely. 👍
10:00 I like that, what you said, I wanted to help but I break the computer screen every time I try to get inside to help. You are funny. Keep up the great videos.
Mike, you are a character.never cease to amaze me,your drive to make things fit, whether it works or not is entertaining.you have come a long way with this project and it will be beneficial for you, doing projects around homestead and the old gym project.great video.just keep doing what you do best.😎😎😎👍👍👍
The Kleeman Khroniikles continue....that was some door magic there bud. Derusting is important, adds years to the dream truck. Good progress and I look forward to the next video. Great channel, great content.
Great job, truck certainly looks better than some things I’ve seen on the road driving and your only just getting close to finishing it. It should really be great when you finally consider it road worthy. Wishing you and your family the best.
The Dream truck, nice work getting things closer to a driver! I think you should have used the back hoe to hang the doors on your truck so that more equipment was used, it made my back hurt watching that piece.
That trucks got more undercoat on it, than they put on at the factory. Like how you dealt with the internal rust, a very good idea. Thats what happens when you don't close doors or windows, you let wasps in. 🤣😂👍
Mike you may want to put some grease or some kind of lubricant in the slide of the track so the window will slide a lot better for you plus the lubricant will help protect the track from any kind rust build up from moisture..
Fun stuff….the more I watch you, I feel like I need to do more stuff by myself. You are definitely inspiring others by your efforts and through this channel.
Thank you again Mike for another great video. I really appreciate your down to earth personally and effort you put into everything you do. Have a great day.
Hi Cap power window on the passenger side is a good idea it's safer when winding the window when driving, don't even tell me you'll stop to wind it down you know you are not going too.🤣
I know Mike, you have a car jack just laying around that you could use to hold the door frame up while you bolt it on (Or the 755 or the 555), but No, not you Mike, you have to do it the EASY WAY and pick it up with one hand while screwing in the bolts with the other...Twice! 🤣🤣 And of course, watching you roll the paint on the truck, sparked a memory of a joke from the past (which I really don't remember all of it) about someone painting a car with house paint (Not that is what your doing)! 😂😂 From what your showing, it really looks pretty good! Great job!
The wasp: always seems to be more than one. Excellent video on building your truck. Probably just as good as the future TH-cam Yacht build/adventure.👌👍
Nice upgrade to actual wasp spray! "Lungs of a 53 year old man" and "starter fluid wasp spray" may have something to do with each other. I keep a can of wasp spray in the tractor, shed, barn, and toolbox. Never know when you're going to get ambushed!
Mike I have a theory that you probably over looked. By using a paint roller on your truck will give your paint "Dimples like a Golf ball". This effect works with the Aerodynamics of a golf ball creating lift, distance and speed. Now with my theory your truck will go faster, farther, using less gas, than if you would have used a spray can to paint your truck. Almost genius material!!! Keep up the good work, thanks for taking us along. Gary
Mike i was holding the door up for you did it help 😁, it's going to look great, and for the little run's we had a saying when i was a painter the only painter that never makes runs is the one that never painted 😂, great video Mike 👍👍👍👍👍
Good progress Mike, I liked when you put the drivers door on the bailey channel tried to give you a hug for reusing the door, a tip, if you have glue left on the door skin from removing the trim moulding grab a rubber "caramel wheel" as it's called in the trade, it will remove the glue but not the paint like a wire wheel so much less prep time, masking take will hold the glass up when your replacing winder assemblies in the doors.
DUDE! I've been wrenching on cars and doing restorations for nearly 40 years, I have NEVER seen someone lift a door and put the bolts in like that??!!! YOU MUST BE STRONG AS AN OX????? LOL - I always balance the door on a floor jack and a pile of rags on the pad and constantly dick around with getting the height correct - you popped that big ass door in like No big deal budd- WELL DONE!
Hey Captain if you have not trashed the doors with power windows and locks might I suggest you save the Power window regulators, power lock actuators and linkage, and the window lift motors. The window lift motors and lock actuators are extremely useful for other projects or they tend to sell well as long as they are good
from rotted out clapped out junk, you Capt making one helluva decent rig. if you wanna paint for cheap, Im sure DP would gladly donate MBTS obnoxious yellow. might even let you use the shop, the sprayer just to make that yellow disappear. all jokes aside, making headway Capt
Glue that held the hairs in the brush melted see TS 4:38 when I used one to paint shellac with methylated spirit as a thinner. I was putting a protective layer on a 1891 Singer sewing machine; the finish started to bloom and turn opaque / white. I did manage to get it off. Now I always test what I am painting, just in case of disaster. 1980s my dad gave me some paint to spray on a motorbike trailer I had made at the Blacksmiths shop ;-(( I could scrape the black paint off with my finger nails :-((. all the best John
the 88 460 uses speed density to control the engine! since you have a 90 you may want to upgrade to the better mas air flow control = better control and mpg . my2cents
Making every effort to rust proof and keep the investment around for as long as possible. 👍👍 Now make sure you get those brand new headlights aimed properly, unless you like to see up into the tree tops and out into the ditches. I guess seeing far enough in front without blinding oncoming traffic (if you take it on the road) would be luxury. 🤣🤣 However, it would be very beneficial out in the wild. Would help prevent rock and tree demolition derby encounters dark or little light situations!
Now I was raised in south Mississippi but am having trouble understanding the weather in south Indiana. It’s clearly Springtime at your country estate, shorts and tees. But over at Dirt Perfect’s location, he and Aaron are laying field tile and complaining of cold weather, hoodies and long johns.
Are you going to run some dual exhaust and mufflers, like glass packs or something? She sounds like “Christine “ from that movie! lol 🤣😂🤣 No matter, she’s going to be a good truck that you can depend on, Mike! I always have to do things by myself, I live alone and don’t have any help, I definitely feel you pain right now trying to hang that door! Thanks for sharing Mike, Kirk from Louisiana sending prayers and positive vibes to you and your family! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻
I think you could have brushed on the second coat of primer. I couldn't even see any brush strokes from here. VERY professional looking from my perspective.
I like it, looking forward to seeing the ole truck running down the road. If you are going to paint the the truck blue and it’s a Ford you might want to look at getting some security measures in place, because what I here Clint, from C&C, favorite color is blue, he might just come over and take that truck away from ya, just sayin. Thanks for the update young man, enjoyed watching.
Good morning sunshine! I have the same reaction to wasp as you do! Lol! I can't believe how the truck is coming together! Great job! Much love from Henderson Ga USA
flattened nail pushed in a thin 6ft long plastic 3 mm tube was what came with my UK 1980s Waxoyl weed killer style of pump on a metal canister. Drill a hole in the car sill pass the tube in full length then pump and pull back to give a full 360' coverage. Your kit looks good for spraying the cavities.
“Athleticism and all, she’s a running truck for sure!” 😂 such a funny guy. Keep up the great work Captain!

Good luck fixing up your truck Captain Kleeman
I'm so jealous. Captain can do this without blood and bandages all over the place.
My favorite truck build on TH-cam so far mainly because it's something a normal person would do! Thanks captain.
Watching you paint while the birds chirped in the background was truly enjoyable. Thank you for making my favorite videos. I watch A LOT of TH-cam and this is my favorite channel.

Can't wait for the day you load the 555 on a trailer, hook it up to the dump truck and take it over to C&C to show it off.

Appreciate ya watching!
Those headlights are looking sharp.
Mike your priceless I’m loss for words today. She’s a project most people wouldn’t even tackle. I’m looking forward to the day it’s dumping dirt.
She is looking good mike, can't wait to see it finished and running about.well done mike.👍👍👍👍👏👏
Wish I could give this 10 likes.
That two tone look is Extra Fancy!
Good job Captain.
Really nice work, its coming along great.
Progress on the future dump truck! Awesome! No matter what, I think you are doing a great job 👏 😊 Thanks for sharing! 😊
Congrats on 1 M views on the pond build video! Dump truck is looking great. Can't wait to see the next phase for the TH-cam Yacht!

nice to see primer going on .......
Absolutely awesome job Mike
Good call in having manual windows. I've changed the window power actuators more times than I can recall on my 20 year old Ford F150.
Not bad. Not bad at all. Looking good there Cap.
It really is coming along now.Great job.

He's already said he intends to do just that.
As an old bloke told me once ,, if it moves grease it and if it doesn’t paint it 🤣

Good idea to spray interior of cab skin, will help with long term rust prevention. Dump truck is looking sharp.
You are a great inspiration! I love watching your both of your channels. Thanks for showing and teaching about “life”. 💪🏼😁
AWESOME the way you took those trucks and making one great truck.AWESOME.
I commend YOU for YOUR all the thought and insight to make everything work properly.
Don't call it overspray, just additional rust prevention!
It’s paint for your paint! Lol
There ya go!
Rustoleum calls it their profit margin!

Yup.

Hi Mike & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks Mike & Friends Randy
Looks good from here. That truck needs some Dirt Perfect style exhaust stacks.
Good morning Captain Kleeman
Phenomenal job thus far, Captain. What a great project! Once again you have showcased your skills which are truly admirable.

Looks great Mike 👍
If anyone ever wants to better understand interchangeable parts and mass production, they should watch this series.
Hi Captain the The truck is looking really well Can't wait until you start The tipping body and get it moving.

flattened nail pushed in a thin 6ft long plastic 3 mm tube was what came with my UK 1980s Waxoyl weed killer style of pump on a metal canister.
Drill a hole in the car sill pass the tube in full length then pump and pull back to give a full 360' coverage.
Your kit looks good for spraying the cavities.
Love the rattle.
IF YOU SQUINT ITS MINT that truck is looking awesome love the videos👍👍
Mike the plan is coming together!! Nice
I like to use a jack to help hold up doors when bolting them on. Then you just have to balance them.
Good idea!
Wow amazing one man putting doors on you are amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩the truck is looking really good 😍😍😍😍
