  • It is important to remind people that I have absolutely no idea what i'm doing, and we are making this up as we go. the results show that. Today i'm welding up the exhaust to come out the back of the ford 460 engine and getting the cab swap finished up. hope you enjoy!

    Mike, when you were rippin' bits off the truck to start with, the goal of a tidy working vehicle seemed like an unlikely dream. But man oh man, bit by patient bit you're getting there! Thanks for taking us along on the trip - your self-deprecating humour has been widely remarked on... But when that spanner dropped on you, your wordless expression was comedy gold worthy of Oliver Hardy when Stan had got him into "another fine mess"! This is going to be a fine truck, and you'll deserve the warm glow you'll feel every time you use it. 😎😁

    Looking good sir, good thing you have that guy talking you thru the process, otherwise you might really mess things up 😮😊. Good decision on the drive shaft situation, looks like the glide coating ( the blue stuff on the splines) on the midship burg spline stub shaft is pretty well gone, if you experience excessive drive line vibration in the drive train, that would be a good place to look. Thanks for the update, appreciate you and the videos.

  • @calholli
    @calholli หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    One thing you should do Mike--- when you're welding up those "bolt on' flanges to the exhaust... Just bolt it onto the manifold where it's going to mount so that it has a nice seal... and THEN you bring in your pipe and tack-weld it on from there.. That will ensure that your mating surfaces at the flange are lined up perfectly and not slightly cocked to the side and fighting you when it's time to bolt it up.... EDIT: Well I guess you did do that on the other side. :) .. carry on

    Hey Mike, I watch Make it Kustom and Carl uses his term for eye balling: he uses his eyechrometer. I watch for Chanel’s and see people using their battery tool to knock things into place but they are not built to be a hammer…. So use a hammer and save your tools. I mean that from a caring perspective. Again, problem solving on the fly, simply enjoyable to see with all the slip ups because you’re human. Just loved that comment:”crossthreading is natures locktite.” You come up with some good ones. Getting closer to where you want it to be. Just can’t wait to see how you tackle the tray.

    I tell my kids and nieces and nephews ever since they were little. Whenever you tackle any project, you start with a plan but there’s a good chance that the plan won’t work the first time.
