    Possibly dealers could package items discussed in the video so that the buyer of a coach or motor home would be able to purchase those items at a discount. Also, the buyer would have those items readily available when they need them.

    I also like the protectant she advised, but have found that a product called WIPE NEW is better for the rubber gaskets that surround the outsides of the windows, AND any plastic parts, such as the mirror housings. The stuff needs to be used frugally and according to directions. The liquid coating will last from one to two years (this is not a bogus claim; I have used this product, and it does last for a long, long time). I like the protectant mentioned because since it is a spray-on liquid, it is easy to apply and buff. I like it on the paint, and use the WIPE NEW on non-painted plastic and rubber surfaces.

      We called to get our first oil change since we picked ours up last summer. Both nearby Mercedes dealers (Denver) have their earliest appointments in may, 2022. There are a couple of recalls outstanding also. I don’t think the recall are a big deal, but still. It seems the dealers really do not want to be in this business. They are basically worthless to owners. No choice but to find a private spot . But Mercedes prevents them from having the software to deal with the recalls.

    I have no idea how I missed this video. Some great information and I've posted it to the Winnebago ERA Facebook Group. Can you tell me if the Micro-Start XP-10 jumper starter is still recommend by Lichtsinn RV? I've been looking at several options and am just not sure which way to go. I have had to use my BATTERY BOOST switch twice in the five years and that has been a god send. I think I would feel better with a jump starter kit.

    I have question about using unscented bleach in the water system...…………..I realize it's diluted with water but does that have an affect on the aluminum pipes...……...will they discolor? Changing the color, etc? I found this a great source of maintaining an RV. Thank you for the video.

    Can I get a couple solar panels on the roof of the Navion? Also, one coach bat or 2? If 1 is there an option for 2?

    • @LichtsinnRV
      @LichtsinnRV  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning! Thanks for your note! Yes, we can add two solar panels to the roof, and also allow for the future expansion of one more on the roof, and you will also have a quickport at ground level to use a portable model.
      Our Views also do come with dual RV batteries, in addition to the main starting battery.

  • @1776Lancer
    @1776Lancer 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good, 2 bats. That should allow 2 solar panels I think. Your dealership is very close to the factory so you can cooperate directly with the manufacture, yes? Its likely that would be required for the solar panels. Info on this is appreciated. I'll go to the dealership that works through these things with me.

      Sounds great! 160 watt panels? Amazing prompt reply... Its evening here, I'm in Asia, on the island of Bohol in the Philippines, the big quake was here. So, good evening. ; Other home is Oregon. Which brings my next question if I may. Oregon has no sales tax, if I buy an RV there do I have to pay sales tax?

We provide the same pricing year round as we turn our inventory so quickly... we do have many available and for now, you could order avoiding the recent 2.8% price increase Winnebago recently announced. Just give any of our factory trained consultants a call to review our factory discounted pricing.

    Great video! I have a 2015 winnebago view, and I believe my chassis battery disconnect is located under the hood on the right side of the engine. It is a red knob that you pull and turn. I have never disconnected my battery because the Mercedes manual doesn't recommend it, so i'm conflicted! lol! But is the knob I 'm referring under the hood correct? Thank very much for your help!

    • @LichtsinnRV
      @LichtsinnRV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good afternoon Steve! Thanks for your note... your chassis disconnect should be just above your acceleration pedal in your cab. It is a red button you push down and then it pulls off the terminal. Use a slightly downward hand motion when you do this to avoid hitting the plastic dash components with your hand. If you've never done this before, wear a glove, as the first time you remove it might be stubborn and you may scrap the top of your fingers on the plastic dash components. I have scars to prove it. :(
      I believe the under the hood knob that you are referring to is the jump start post (we use this to hookup the positive terminal to jump start a Sprinter) and the negative then goes on any metal that is grounded or the large brass looking post that sticks out inside the front hood area from the driver side front fender).
      We do store ours with the disconnect off (the one above the accelerate pedal). Just remember to wait 10 minutes after you stop your engine to pull this disconnect to allow the computer inside the vehicle to shut down. Then after you put back on, wait a few minutes to let the computer fire back up.
      Hope this helps!

    • @stevemartinovich4241
      @stevemartinovich4241 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much, and now that I think about, your absolutely right. The red knob under the hood is to jump start the chassis battery because of its awkward location. I have one more question please. What do you folks of Trik-L-Starts? I was thinking about installing one to keep my chassis battery charged, I do have solar, for my house batteries because I do dry camp a lot and don't want to run the generator . . Just curious on your thoughts, would you recommend it or would it interfere with Mercedes components? Thank you again, much appreciated! Steve

    • @LichtsinnRV

    We love our 2015 24G Winnebago, however, we just discovered a mouse has found our little RV, has anyone else had this problem? Not sure how he got inside other than in the Mercedes console where the cigarette lighter is that unit came out and we unable to put it back and I noticed that where the wires attach to the lighter is a hole?

    • @LichtsinnRV
      @LichtsinnRV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning Melinda! Unfortunately we hear that too often in storage, with rodent control. Most commonly they like to get into the cabin air filter on the passenger side under the hood and around the insulation in that area. I would highly recommend having a Mercedes Benz tech go thru to ensure no damage that can shut you down while on the road.

    old DEF and NEW DEF?!! DEF IS DEF

    • @KU9L
      @KU9L 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      DEF at Auto Supply stores can be expired, check and learn the date codes before buying. I've seen $350 repair bills to some vehicles because the ammonia content is messed up because the product was expired 2-3 years right off the rack at the auto supply store. Buy from a source that turns over their inventory frequently or purges their old product faithfully. Strange, but true!
