@@adrianparker-e9f If I joined the police, I would show the same amount of professionalism I've previously shown in my career in IT Services. And on that basis I wouldn't kick and stomp on someone lying on the ground. And I would intervene and stop any colleagues that did so.
The police's job is to present criminals to the courts with good sound objective evidence. It's not their job to dish out instant revenge punishments.
This will, at times make it an uneven playing field. But then police should have levels of behaviour that are far higher than the criminals they deal with.
I wouldn't expect to last long in the police. Because I'd upset too many of my colleagues, due to my intolerance of unlawful behaviour, regardless of where it was coming from.
Those police deserve a medal they are under so much pressure from mindless idiots, they injured 4 officers broke a women's nose if they had manage to get their weapons the police would be to blame and when the public or officers are threatened they still get the blame, maybe they went a bit to far, they were under threat but they make mistakes afterall they are human, perhaps the police should go on strike then the public may not be quickly to blame then for doing their job, before long no one will want their job
Human when in uniform are under an oath not to let criminals dragged them to their level. Those who can not uphold professionalism in testing times should not be taking the oath. Always remember Police are trained and paid to uphold professionalism but criminals are not.
This MOTHER is the instigator of all this. She accused a man of racially abusing her on a plane (if he did, I wonder why), then told her sons who attacked the man at a Starbucks (two thugs against one), the police were called and they intercepted them at the car park ticket machine, what happened next we all saw. Indeed. It may not exist because it may never have happened. Or it may have happened through an accident. Or it may have happened as the result of someone acting in self defence in the face of unlawful behaviour by the police.
And it could be that both sides are wrong in this. The people being assaulted by the police and the police. Which would still be a scandal as the police are supposed to remain professional and on the right side of the law in the face of extreme provocation.
