Shane after all the messing around this was my exact problem but my wires or my plastic was not burnt I run a piece of wire from one end to the other and my lights worked but for some reason they won't turn off when the ignition goes off on the connector closest to the lights that you pulled apart is it the yellow or white wire and then on the other side that connects to it is it the white wire because I need them to turn off with ignition other than that I've done it my friend😊

So you took the yellow wire out the white clip ? On each side then soldered them together ?

yes that and the high beam wire also. both of the light bulb wires seem to be too high amperage for the connector used, nothing wrong with the gauge of wire but the connector is so small it gets hot, melt the connector and thats why they flop around and dont get proper connection and why when you turn them off and the plastic cools down to normal, they may or may not work again. i think the high beam wire is white, the main light beam wire is yellow. do both for obvious reason, if you arent having an issue now, you may have later, you are in there now already just do them both one time... :)

    Omg lol.
I am sooo sick of the issues with this bike!!!
I've just spent $1200 to fix stuff and now this!!!
And unfortunately that wasn't the issue, the plug looks clean and no burnt out bits

ten minutes with a soldering iron or some electrical tape, this video and some side cutters and you are good to go for... zero dollars... just get her done brother... sorry you are having a hard time, these bikes are normally super reliable on almost everything else so you should not have many other issues... should be worth the 10 minutes to fix and go for a good ride brother, good luck

@@project1971 i had to replace the switch gear as it was all the ignition system and the stater motor and the starter solenoid and the clutch and the sprockets and the chain, then the USB died so had to replace that! Good news, nothing has broken for weeks now... maybe because its all brand new! Lol

not sure if the later models have this issue although its possible. Find the wiring loom, normally the left hand side of the bike and check the wire colors and wiring diagrams. Once located, solder them directly together, there is no reason for it to go through a connector, at all, thats the weak point. Eliminate that and I hope thats what you need to keep your lights on and your confidence riding the bike, no matter the light conditions... I would hope that a manufacturer like Suzuki would have resolved this issue but, its possible, you have the same connector failure... easy fix though so thats the plus side...
