I used to purchase Hindustani Classical vinyl LPs from big artists and many times the Tabla player wasn't even listed. Outstanding performers like Zakir Hussain, Anindo Chatterjee and others have done a lot to change the status of Tabla players in India but it's still frustrating to see that bad tradition continuing sometimes online.
@Aaron Rosenbloom, thats very true… but I guess that is changing slowly these days… anyway the Tabla player here in this video is Sri. Sandip Ghosh.
