My two favorite singers in fourth and fifth grades. I wore out those Jump Start My Heart and I Wanna Dance tapes. I had every single note of every single one of their songs memorized. So nice to hear them duet. But those background singers, yuck! Not pleasant with soprano voices
Kevin Jackson more range not power. U could hear Whitney over her when they say together n she isn't as versatile or musically inclined with her singing as nippy. But they r both greats! Legends
No ogkush1916 is right in his/her vocal assessment with regards to these two artists. Natalie's voice is higher and it is lighter. Whitney's sound is warmer, fuller, rounder, and bigger. What you hear is the sound guys making sure their mics are about equal. Natalie's voice make cut through a bit more because of the natural nasality in her voice but it's definitely not more powerful. Now where the comment falls apart is when they say Natalie is not as versatile. Natalie sings jazz and can scat. Whitney hasn't shown this ability as it relates to scatting, so I would say Natalie is at least better at singing jazz. Whitney is better at singing pop, which is why the Michael Masser formula didn't work for Natalie. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just google search Michael Masser.
