    This is without a doubt one of the cleanest cabinet builds I have ever seen. Occasionally you will hear someone say "don't worry, it doesn't have to be perfect as no one will see that part of the build." Well apparently you are a perfectionist, because I see no flaws in the design at all. Great job!

    A mad genius, I was lost for most of that video, I was crap at woodwork. However I would stress that a straight back is always better than a curve, because of the graphics. You will have fun and games trying to get a tight fit on a curved back.

    Excellent work and indeed very practical and pragmatic as I am beginning myself the building of a bartop. I stumbled on many things, especially the control panel and the idea of wood inserts is really great. Do you have tips for using a router without a table ? Thanks :)

    6:50 for anybody who might searching, those are often called a "piano hinge"
    I like you're complicated math for where to drill on that monitor holder. I would have had a much simpler solution. namely I start with something thin like a piece of paper so I can piece it with a pencil real easy. Then I put the paper on something thicker, like a nearly-thin-as-paper piece of plastic. then go a little thicker like 1/8" inch particle board or whatever...and test the holes with that to make sure it will screw in to the monitor. Then screw through that material into the MDF, creating perfectly lined up holes. That process would like maybe 3 minutes.
    Not criticizing. geometry works too ...
    I guess it's just stand vesa mounting holes. could probably just print those out or use a left over vesa mount or something. I'm probably overthinking this.

      Thanks! I'm actually using 3/4 inch mdf, and I got the bolts and inserts on amazon here amzn.to/3clgM6t and here amzn.to/2Rud3LN . They were hard to find in bulk at my local hardware stores.

    An outstanding and easy to follow video. Can you also stress safety when working with power tools? I saw you use push sticks with the saws. Can you stress the use of safety glasses also? Again great video :)

      Absolutely... great comment! I noticed in trying to set up the best shot with the camera, I would sometimes forget the glasses and earplugs. It's an easy thing to be lazy about, but something that is extremely important! Thanks!

    Great video. I’m planning to build this. But I will be using a 24inch monitor. Other than increasing width of the control panel and top / back / marquee, would that affect any other measurements?
    My biggest pain is printing the vinyl graphics, cause if I change the side panels size, I don’t know how to properly edit the graphics so they will still line up properly.

    • @cornerwoodshop
      @cornerwoodshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you should be ok lengthening the width of the cabinet and keeping the side panels as is. A 24" monitor will be taller, but since it fits in at an angle, you will have some room to play. Worse case, you can adjust the marquee a little higher to make room.

    Hey great build. I have a question about the drill bit that you use make the hole for the joystick.

    • @cornerwoodshop
      @cornerwoodshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a 1/2" bit. I can't confirm whether that works for all joysticks, but as long as it's a large enough hole that the joystick doesn't touch the sides when in use, you'll be good!

    • @cedricbanks2149

    • @cornerwoodshop
      @cornerwoodshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! You will have to google "Retropie Roms" for help finding games. There are copyright laws against download games you do not already own, so unfortunately I can't list that info here.
