The mulch makes a world of difference. Looks great . I bet your Mom and was so happy with what yall got done at their house too. I cleaned my garbage can this week to it was the same . This hot weather is the cause of it .enjoyed this video ❤❤
Trashcan: My mom would use a huge industrial trash bag to put inside her trashcan & it always stayed clean because the trash truck would just dump the bag in their truck. It made things alot easier.
All of the yard work you an heather did was awesome .
Here in Southern Maine, we have a very short "hot weather" maybe 3 1/2 months of 80's + ( not counting this past week, holy moly). We take our scraps, or foam packages, left overs etc, and but them in a new trash bag and put it in the DEEP FREEZER. The night before trash is put out, grab the bag and toss & repeat!!
Your flower garden looks great with the dark mulch
Suggestion: Along with cleaning out the trash bin, like Heather did....spray the inside of it with Ortho bug spray. I always get the gallon jug for flies, spiders, etc. It's pet friendly, and lasts up to 3 or 4 months. Pretty sure it is for indoor/outdoor. You will not see a creepy crawly again....lol Make sure it is the kind that won't hurt pets. Good for the porches, around the house, even keeps bees at bay. ORTHO I spray the closet floors as well, we have brown recluse here too. Love what you've done with the flower bed up front. Everything, at your house and parents house too. Everything you guys touch turns to beautiful! 💖

In the summer, all those chicken scraps and anything that spoils I place in a bag and stick in the freezer until the day before trash pickup. Then when I take out the trash for pickup I pull the bag out of the freezer and put in the trash then. No time for the spoiling to happen. It works!
You are both such hard workers! It’s been an unusual heat wave here in upstate NY this past week and I couldn’t even get outside to mow! I could not take that heat all summer! I love all the kitties showing up in your videos😻

Y’all working hard around there! When I was a kid we didn’t go on many vacations but when we did my mom would be upset we wanted to stay in the pool! lol!
I have never seen the level of energy you two have! It’s 115 degrees today in Phoenix area, I won’t even go outside!
In the summer, we put our meat packaging or leftover uncooked meat wrapped in our extra freezer. We don't put it out in our trash can until trash day!

After I had neck surgery in 2013 it definitely affected the way I tolerate the heat. The surgery worked however I have to know my limits now with the heat.

Amanda when i unwarp meats package what I'm going to cook far that day i wash it off, than put it in plastic bag i get from the store than put it in the trash!! And by some ammonia and put the trash can put side it help with the bugs, it strong so use at ur discretion, i put mine in a spray bottle don't feel the bottle up!!
Put Coffee Grinder is in the bottom of the trashcan it will keep the order down

You are a good daughter. It's so kind of you to help your Daddy especially since he has vision problems. You will be blessed. The flower bed looks so pretty. I like that you put flowers around it. I love flowers and used to them all around my house in containers and on shepherd's hooks. Now I am not able to take care of them and I miss them so much. I enjoy everyone else's now.

I used to be able to mow our whole 2+ acres, plus the pupper yard (push mow), and weed eat. About a 4+ hour job. Now?? All I can do only the pupper yard when the hubby is gone. We can only afford to pay the $130 for mowing every other week. That weight loss shot is costing a fortune. So maybe next year. You and Heather are SO very blessed to have each other and Alden when you need him!!☺️ The only thing I managed to plant this year are seed taters and I'm getting ready to go dig them once I cool off. To me the heat is just different this year!! And way back in the day folks didn't have a/c so they had more stamina in the heat!! I've got tons of marigolds and when they seed this fall I'll be happy to send you some seeds☺️ Everything looks great, but it always does when you and Heather put your hands on it!!!
How do you do so much. 🤪. Can you imagine what life would be if you both never dropped your weight? You've accomplished so much in just a couple of years.
