Love you, Alden and Heather....the whole family. You accomplish so much together. If you can I would cut down the half dead tree and put ROSES in that circle, with maybe a little white fence around it. You don't have to put a lot in, cuz they will also grow and fill in (bush out). That would be so pretty in that spot and colorful. But whatever you do, I know it will turn out very nice. 💞

Amanda…you and Heather work so hard and it shows in all of your projects! I’m not sure about the tree. You could see if someone knows an arborist that may just come and look at it to tell you. Either way, I think a flower garden would look so awesome…give lots of pretty color. 😊

Maybe at some point you can do a privacy fence to block the pool. I wouldn’t worry about it honestly.
Cut tree down and plant a crepe Myrtle tree. They are pretty.

Moth balls are highly poisonous to your dog and other animals. Here in florida they are illegal to put out in your yard.
Always water your garden from the roots not over head, it promotes fungus and disease doing it over head. Only water early morning. Your tomatoes especially will be more susceptible to fungus and disease being to close together, the need to be able to have air flow between them. Hope this helps.

We live WAY more rural than y'all and right up against the woods. In our 12 yrs here I've only seen like maybe 5 snakes and they were only garden and black snakes. We also have a horrid mouse problem so that tells me I don't have so much of a snake problem. I was cleaning out my raised beds and came up on a garden snake that startled me. But snakes don't bother me as much as spiders😬😖. As far as the garden, you will learn as you go. In regards to tomato plants...you have determinate and indeterminate. The first doesn't get real high, the 2nd can get REALLY high!!☺️. Good job on EVERYTHING!!

I would just cut down the tree since it’s already half dead. I kept thinking how a mini chainsaw would make that job so much easier. I love mine and it’s easy to use.
Yes! I was offered a sponsorship for a pole chainsaw. It’s looking pretty good right about now lol. I just hate doing them and deadlines. Some of it is worth it though 😊

Yard looks good! But I have to share a cautionary tale. Please please don't dive or allow diving off the deck. A childhood friend, at 30,, was attempting a skim dive like you did. He misjudged and went too deep and hit his head, breaking his neck. He was a quadriplegic after that. His life was ruined. He died about 2 years ago at 56..
We had an above ground pool also. Our number one rule was no diving Ever!
