THANK YOU GOD AND DAVID JOHNSON.
I like what you said. "Jesus did not criticize the Pharisees for keeping the sabbath, He criticized them for how they kept the sabbath"
That is correct. This is focused on youtube video "Jesus Christ vs. Pharisaism..." which focuses on the topic of Sabbath.
Jesus is my sabbath rest.
_'Jesus is my sabbath rest.'_ - *Ambiguity Logical Fallacy* - whenever you see 'rest' in the Bible, it doesn't automatically refer to the 7th day Sabbath.
and Jesus Christ isn't a day of the week - notice in all the NT - they didn't say what you've just said, they instead prove their love for Him by keeping the Holy 7th day Sabbath.
@@tony1685 under what calendar now? None of them are correct. Any day is a sabbath.
@@MrJbee73 incorrect, Sir - just 2K years ago Jesus Christ kept the Holy 7th day Sabbath, didn't He?
while the calendars have changed, the sequence of the days have forever remained the same:
the 2nd day has forever followed the 1st, the 4th day follows the 3rd, etc - and interestingly enough, there is over 100 languages which shows us that the name for the 7th day is a variation of the word _'Sabbath'_ .
_'Any day is a sabbath.'_ - not according to the Word of our Creator and our Saviour.
which side will you choose?
@@tony1685 I know which side I am on. I know we are actually only supposed to be observing day and night. All the days are marked by pagan gods or markers. So again. Which day is the 7th? Jesus is my rest.

Hi - I am currently studying the Sabbath day commandment. I came across Colossians 2:16. Can you explain what the writer means by " let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a [j]festival or a new moon or sabbaths," - Your guidance is greatly appreciated
Hello Luis, we’re happy to hear you are studying the Sabbath commandment! Since Colossians 2:16 can be confusing, we’ve prepared an entire article on it: lifehopeandtruth.com/bible/law-and-grace/colossians-2-16/. We hope you find it helpful!
@@Lifehopeandtruth great response. Clarified and understood. Thank you and God Bless
The Sabbath has its roots in the garden. “God blessed it and sanctified it” - but he does not command it until later as a part of the relationship and covenant that he has with the children of Israel through the Mosaic Law.
I believe this institution is important to God because it is an earthly representation of the relationship that the church will have with Jesus; he is our sabbath; he is our rest from the works of the law.
The verses in Exodus that command the Sabbath are to the Israelites and not to the whole world. God did not deliver the gentiles from Egypt. He did not bring them to Mount Sinai. He did not establish a covenant with the gentiles.
It does include foreigners living in their cities. This is to prevent the Israelites from getting their work done on an extra day through foreigners and slaves - but more importantly that these foreigners and slaves should also rest. To reiterate: this is not a command for the whole world. It is included with the mosaic covenant with the children of Israel.
There exists only two commandments for the bride of Christ. But first, let’s make a distinction between the church and the children of Israel.
The Abrahamic covenant is different from the covenant made with the children of Israel. Abraham’s covenant is a promise of a son - specifically Isaac, and that all the people’s of the world would be blessed through Abraham - ie The Messianic promise.
The Old Testament Covenant and law is separate and different from the Abrahamic Covenant which is fulfilled in Christ and is available to Jew and gentile alike.
The prophet Jeremiah records that the covenants will change:
Jeremiah 31: 31-33
31
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
32
It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to[a] them,[b]”
declares the Lord.
33
“This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
Verse 31 is clear that a new covenant is coming and that it replaces the old covenant
Verse 32 contrasts it with the Old Covenant. “it will not be like...” the one made with the children of Israel via Moses.
Verse 33 explains the difference. This new law will be in their hearts and minds; it is not a to-do list of laws which carry the penalty of death. Circumcision of the penis was a sign of the old covenant. The new covenant requires being born again by the Holy Spirit. This is referred to as a circumcision of the heart. Romans 2:29
Gentile believers were never under mosaic law and because of the new covenant we are taught for certain that we are not under the law (Romans 6:4) - which always brings death. We are under grace.
When contrasted with the commands of Jesus recorded in the New Covenant we can clearly see why that is so; we are taught that his commandment is not burdensome.
John 13: 34
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another”
This is the clearest understanding of the New Covenant that replaces the Old Covenant. It is a covenant that is to be in our hearts, because He dwells in our hearts.
2 John V5-6
5 And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another. 6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
To love Jesus is to obey him. To obey him is to love each other.
I John 3: 23
23 And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
We are His church and we are not under the Mosaic law - but under grace. This is clear in Jeremiah’s prophecy because he uses the phrase “Not like the covenant I made...”
It is vastly different. It is for this very reason that we have two separate portions of the Bible: the Old Testament which documents the history, Abrahamic promise, the mosaic covenant, the mosaic laws, and the prophets. In contrast to the New Testament which documents the fulfillment of messianic prophecies, the teachings of Jesus, history of the early church, our clear and only commandment of Love, and further prophecies regarding end times.
Because we are the church we have no right to teach, force, or require any believer to obey Mosaic law. This includes circumcision, which Paul clearly opposed as part of the New Covenant, and it includes the sabbath.
We are to encourage New Covenant law - that of love - which is superior in all ways to the Mosaic law.
I firmly believe in the importance of the sabbath in the OT - but only because It demonstrates God’s attitude towards us and our rest that we have in Christ. I am convinced that the sabbath has been replaced; it has not replaced by Sunday, or any other day of the week - but by Christ himself.
Many have made “keeping the sabbath” a condition of salvation by believing that if someone does not keep the sabbath then they are part of the Whore of Babylon and will suffer punishment. That is a form of legalism. Additionally, sabbath keeping is a subtle form of pride: “I keep the sabbath, God is pleased with me [but not with you.]”
God is pleased with us only because Christ is in us and for no other reason. We were created for good works which is evidence of our genuine faith - and those works are expressed through love for one another, our neighbors, and our enemies.
The true believer does not go to church. He (or she) is the church. They pray without ceasing. They sing to each other in Psalms, Hymns, and spiritual songs. They love their brothers and sisters, their neighbors, and their enemies. They make amends for their sins, they seek Christ in all things, and rest in him continuously.
So then, does this mean that we are exempt from keeping the 10 commandments? YES, but only because we keep them from the heart: Matthew 22:37
1) Love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, Love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
2) Do not falsely imagine God to be anything but who he actually is.
3) We bear the name of Christ (a wife takes her husband’s name) do not live like you are married to the world.
4) Christ is our rest; do not try to justify ourselves by keeping the law.
5) We must honor all lawful authority.
6) We must love our enemies and give them food and clothes.
7) We must not lust after another, which is adultery.
8) We must work to supply our owns needs and those of others.
9) We must speak the truth in love, because Christ is the truth.
10) We must be content with what we have because he has said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” We are coheirs with Christ.
The true church keeps the sabbath every day because we are in church every day..
The Saturday sabbath is not for the bride of Christ.
Christ is the Lord of the sabbath. He is the Lord of our rest.
@Messerah ....
Christ came to fulfill and close the mosaic law - WHICH YOU WERE NEVER UNDER AND ARE STILL NOT UNDER!
None of the 10 commandments have weight.
For example:
“Thou shalt not kill” is incomplete. The Christian must love his brothers, his neighbors - AND not only not hate his enemies (which is murder) the Christian must feed and cloth his enemies.
“Thou shalt not commit adultery” is incomplete. The christian must not look with lust.
“Remember the sabbath” - Christ is our sabbath. He is our rest from works of the law.
Rest was made for man because it foreshadowed the rest we would need and receive in Christ.
I’m sure you feel proud of yourself and superior to others (“I keep the sabbath”) you’re mistaken.
You have no idea what you’re teaching. You’ve created a Frankenstein monster of Old Testament mosaic commandments and New Testament Christianity.
Jesus will not likely be pleased with you for teaching and admonishing believers to be enslaved Old Testament laws - which he fulfilled and closed.
@Messerah ....
May Jesus bless you with his truth.
I Timothy 1:9
“The law is not made for the righteous but for the unrighteousness...”
Galatians 3:24
“The law WAS [past tense] our schoolmaster to lead us to Christ that we would be justified by faith.”
Romans 3: 19-22
“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.“
Romans 3:28
“For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law”
Romans 6:14b
“You are not under law, but under grace”
Jeremiah 31: 31-33
31 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
32 It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to them,”
declares the Lord.
33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people”
John 13:34
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
None of the OT law is applicable for Jew or gentile. It has been fulfilled and closed by Jesus at the shedding of his blood.
Our only obligation is sacrificial love of our brothers and sisters, our neighbors, and our enemies. This is a command that is not burdensome because it is performed supernaturally by the spirit of Christ that is in us.
The fact that you are so “hell bent” on the law is indicative that you do not have the spirit of Christ in you or that you are walking so deeply in the flesh that you ignore the work that the spirit is trying to do in you and through you.
Do you not see that you are the very type of person that Paul wrote so thoroughly about?
Let Christ free you from your chains. Stop doing dead works and let the power of Christ live fully in you and through you. Then you will know real peace and joy as he works miraculously through you.
“The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.”
So should I look for a new job one that doesn't work weekends?
Roberto, it sounds like you are committed to obeying the Sabbath command to not work from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Life, Hope & Truth- Can emergency responders such as Doctors/nurses and officers work on the sabbath? what happens if someone gets hurt?
Since being a doctor or nurse is their profession, and they are paid to do it, they should choose not to work on the Sabbath. However, if they are someplace where an emergency arises and someone needs on-the-spot care, it would not be a sin for them to offer assistance. Jesus said it was appropriate to render emergency help to an animal if it is needed on the Sabbath (Luke 14:5), and that principle would also apply to human beings. can u help me . what does "i came to fulfill the law mean " ?
That is a really good question. The Greek word translated “fulfill” in Matthew 5:17 is “pleroo.” This word can mean to complete, accomplish or fill something to its full. Jesus came to fill the law with meaning through His living example of how to keep it. He fulfilled the messianic prophecy that the Messiah would “exalt the law and make it honorable” (Isaiah 42:21). Sadly, some interpret “fulfill” as meaning He did away with the law, but that can’t be true since in the same verse He clearly said He did not come to “destroy” it. In the next verse, He made clear that not even the smallest part of God’s law would be abolished (Matthew 5:18). To learn more about what Matthew 5:17 means, read this article: lifehopeandtruth.com/change/christian-conversion/the-sermon-on-the-mount/jesus-and-the-law/jesus-fulfilled-the-law/.

Yep. I'll never understand why it's so hard to stop the heretical and blasphemous 1st day sabbath and keep the Sabbath day that God blessed and made Holy: the 7th day.
It's interesting how it's the *_only_* commandment beginning with 'remember'. God knew many would forget.
We don’t do works for salvation. We were given the gift of grace. Forgiven as believers.
Docbndgrl9113 Jesus is my sabbath rest.
Question: "How is Jesus our Sabbath Rest?"
Answer: The key to understanding how Jesus is our Sabbath rest is the Hebrew word sabat, which means "to rest or stop or cease from work." The origin of the Sabbath goes back to Creation. After creating the heavens and the earth in six days, God "rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made" (Genesis 2:2). This doesn’t mean that God was tired and needed a rest. We know that God is omnipotent, literally "all-powerful." He has all the power in the universe, He never tires, and His most arduous expenditure of energy does not diminish His power one bit. So, what does it mean that God rested on the seventh day? Simply that He stopped what He was doing. He ceased from His labors. This is important in understanding the establishment of the Sabbath day and the role of Christ as our Sabbath rest.
God used the example of His resting on the seventh day of Creation to establish the principle of the Sabbath day rest for His people. In Exodus 20:8-11 and Deuteronomy 5:12-15, God gave the Israelites the fourth of His Ten Commandments. They were to "remember" the Sabbath day and "keep it holy." One day out of every seven, they were to rest from their labors and give the same day of rest to their servants and animals. This was not just a physical rest, but a cessation of laboring. Whatever work they were engaged in was to stop for a full day each week. (Please read our other articles on the Sabbath day, Saturday vs. Sunday and Sabbath keeping to explore this issue further.) The Sabbath day was established so the people would rest from their labors, only to begin again after a one-day rest.
The various elements of the Sabbath symbolized the coming of the Messiah, who would provide a permanent rest for His people. Once again the example of resting from our labors comes into play. With the establishment of the Old Testament Law, the Jews were constantly "laboring" to make themselves acceptable to God. Their labors included trying to obey a myriad of do’s and don’ts of the ceremonial law, the Temple law, the civil law, etc. Of course they couldn’t possibly keep all those laws, so God provided an array of sin offerings and sacrifices so they could come to Him for forgiveness and restore fellowship with Him, but only temporarily. Just as they began their physical labors after a one-day rest, so, too, did they have to continue to offer sacrifices. Hebrews 10:1 tells us that the law "can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship." But these sacrifices were offered in anticipation of the ultimate sacrifice of Christ on the cross, who "after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right of God" (Hebrews 10:12). Just as He rested after performing the ultimate sacrifice, He sat down and rested-ceased from His labor of atonement because there was nothing more to be done, ever. Because of what He did, we no longer have to "labor" in law-keeping in order to be justified in the sight of God. Jesus was sent so that we might rest in God and in what He has provided.
Another element of the Sabbath day rest which God instituted as a foreshadowing of our complete rest in Christ is that He blessed it, sanctified it, and made it holy. Here again we see the symbol of Christ as our Sabbath rest-the holy, perfect Son of God who sanctifies and makes holy all who believe in Him. God sanctified Christ, just as He sanctified the Sabbath day, and sent Him into the world (John 10:36) to be our sacrifice for sin. In Him we find complete rest from the labors of our self-effort, because He alone is holy and righteous. "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Corinthians 5:21). We can now cease from our spiritual labors and rest in Him, not just one day a week, but always.
Jesus can be our Sabbath rest in part because He is "Lord of the Sabbath" (Matthew 12:8). As God incarnate, He decides the true meaning of the Sabbath because He created it, and He is our Sabbath rest in the flesh. When the Pharisees criticized Him for healing on the Sabbath, Jesus reminded them that even they, sinful as they were, would not hesitate to pull a sheep out of a pit on the Sabbath. Because He came to seek and save His sheep who would hear His voice (John 10:3,27) and enter into the Sabbath rest He provided by paying for their sins, He could break the Sabbath rules. He told the Pharisees that people are more important than sheep and the salvation He provided was more important than rules. By saying, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27), Jesus was restating the principle that the Sabbath rest was instituted to relieve man of his labors, just as He came to relieve us of our attempting to achieve salvation by our works. We no longer rest for only one day, but forever cease our laboring to attain God’s favor. Jesus is our rest from works now, just as He is the door to heaven, where we will rest in Him forever.
Hebrews 4 is the definitive passage regarding Jesus as our Sabbath rest. The writer to the Hebrews exhorts his readers to “enter in” to the Sabbath rest provided by Christ. After three chapters of telling them that Jesus is superior to the angels and that He is our Apostle and High Priest, he pleads with them to not harden their hearts against Him, as their fathers hardened their hearts against the Lord in the wilderness. Because of their unbelief, God denied that generation access to the holy land, saying, “They shall not enter into My rest” (Hebrews 3:11). In the same way, the writer to the Hebrews begs his readers not to make the same mistake by rejecting God’s Sabbath rest in Jesus Christ. “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience” (Hebrews 4:9-11).
There is no other Sabbath rest besides Jesus. He alone satisfies the requirements of the Law, and He alone provides the sacrifice that atones for sin. He is God’s plan for us to cease from the labor of our own works. We dare not reject this one-and-only Way of salvation (John 14:6). God’s reaction to those who choose to reject His plan is seen in Numbers 15. A man was found gathering sticks on the Sabbath day, in spite of God’s plain commandment to cease from all labor on the Sabbath. This transgression was a known and willful sin, done with unblushing boldness in broad daylight, in open defiance of the divine authority. “Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp’” (verse 35). So it will be to all who reject God’s provision for our Sabbath rest in Christ. “How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3).
There are some one commandment christian who will have some explaining to do also.
JESUS CHRIST was the fulfillment of the " Sabbath Rest" . By Christ dying for our sins, those who come for salvation we rest in Him . We attain God’s favor and rest in His mercy and grace.
Yes, Jesus fulfilled the law, but He did *NOT* abolish the law:
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. *For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.*

We must still keep all ten commandments, which include keeping the 7th day Sabbath (what we now call Saturday, beginning at sundown Friday).
@@Keesha_Hardy Yes, we must keep the Sabbath. This is focused on youtube video "Jesus Christ vs. Pharisaism..." by tabor7 which focuses on the topic of Sabbath.
For gods sake it is not “Jesus Christ.”
It is either “Jesus, the Christ,” or “Christ Jesus.”
Or it can be, “ Jesus is the Christ.”
But please use his name correctly.
The word “Christ” is an adjective...NOT a proper noun.
@@emotionalmodels8463 There is nothing wrong with the use of Jesus Christ. Just like you say Julius Caesar, Augustus Caesar, etc.
You don't say Julius the Caesar or Augustus the Caesar.

Sabbat as the all 10. Commandments are ETERNAL. It's it not the law given trough Moses but God Ingrave his Moral Law and it will be valuable as the for Worshippers of True God forever
apparently the Lord God does not consider them eternal.
He made a new covenant, and it’s different from the mosaic covenant and replaces it.
Jeremiah 31: 31-33
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
32 It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they broke my covenant,
though I was a husband to[a] them,[b]”
declares the Lord.
33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
“I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.

Life,Hope and Truth, I read an article regarding the 3 Religions, Jewish, Muslim and Christianity.
I came across one of the verses mentioned there saying "that 10 people will grab hold of one Jewish man". This verse is referring to Yeshua our Messiah, the ONE MAN from the Tribe of Judah (This is a prophetic verse of Yeshua our Messiah). Whether Jew, Muslim or Gentile, or other, they have to accept Yeshua, as the beloved, begotten FIRSTBORN SON of our Abba Yahweh Elohim and his sacrifice, and (follow the Commandments by faith as faith and works (obedience) go together, to be grafted in to the Olive Tree (the Tree of Life, the Natural Tree). He also said "... there is NO Jew or Gentile (Race or color), no male or female (gender), no slave or freeman (ones status)".... For ALL are ONE in Yeshua our Messiah. ONE MAN as he is the HEAD and we are the BODY, and ONE with our Abba Yahweh Elohim, as he is. The prayer Yeshua our Messiah prayed to his father for his followers.
Colossians 2:16-19 proves that the church ate clean beasts and good food, drank good drinks to stay sober, kept the holydays like feast of trumpets, day of atonement, feast of tabernacles, Passover, feast of unleavened bread, feast of weeks, observed the 12 new moons, and celebrated the seventh day Sabbaths. Let no man judge you is referring to the heathen and sinners, not the saints. The heathen and sinners are not allowed to judge our pure religion from Christ Jesus our Lord.
The deadly wound is when the word of God was translated to English. The British head of the beast was wounded by the holy Bible. Today most people in Britain do not know that Britain used to be a Sabbath keeping nation.
@Messerah I keep the sabbath like you do. Why don't you keep the new moons and feast days? If we cannot keep the holy days of the feast of booths now, we must keep them when King Jesus returns.
@Messerah There will be new months in the new earth and new Jerusalem. The tree of life bears her fruit once a month.
When the new covenant started, and we became the temple of God, GOING to the temple made with hands was no longer required to enter Hods rest. WE the sons of man, became lord of the Sabbath rest. Every work or ordinances of the CARNAL flesh no longer are required. Only works of the spirit. Once people figure out that most of what we've been taught is nothing but traditions of men. The very same thing Jesus was exposing in the 1st century. Thats why sacrifice was of the carnal flesh not literal physical flesh as it profits nothing.
Many of your statements do not agree with the Bible. For instance, the Bible says Jesus is the “Lord of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:28). He created it and determines how it is to be observed. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that human beings have become the “lord of the Sabbath rest.” The Bible teaches that works are still important under the New Covenant. James wrote that “faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead” (James 2:17). Jesus did criticize the traditions of men, but He clearly taught obedience to the laws of God (Matthew 5:17-19). You may find this article helpful: lifehopeandtruth.com/bible/10-commandments/the-ten-commandments/.
@@Lifehopeandtruth You might want reread Mark 2:28. It says nothing about Jesus.
@@Lifehopeandtruth And keeping the law was the 10 commandments. Deut 5:22, Jer 7:22-23. It was NEVER required to have burnt offerings and sacrifices to atone for sin. Ezekiel 18. The first coming of the spirit of truth was return the people back to the original law which did not include the works of flesh.
You do know the law was for the nation of Israel? Not ever for the gentiles.
Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man-not just the Jews (Mark 2:27). The book of Hebrews shows that under the New Covenant, God’s laws are to be written on our hearts and minds (Hebrews 10:16). The Church is the Israel of God (Galatians 6:16), and there is neither Jew nor Greek in His sight (Galatians 3:28). God doesn’t have different laws for Jews and everyone else. As Paul, the apostle to the gentiles, said, “The law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good” (Romans 7:12). These are just a few of the passages that show the universality of God’s perfect moral law.
@@Lifehopeandtruth -Totally agree. What always comes to mind are the MIXED multitude (not just Egyptians as Egypt was a large business hub with many traders) that came out if Egypt with the Israelites and stood at Mr. Sinai when they received the Commandments of our Father Yahweh Elohim. Abraham, Issac and Jacob were Hebrew Gentiles. All the Laws apply. The physical Sacrificial and Temple LAWS were but a shadow of what was to come. The reality is Yeshua and his followers, and the principles remain the same . This is what was fading away.
The man made Temple, HSS been elevated from physical to spiritual - we are part of spiritual Temple being built up by the hand of God by His Holy Spirit of which Yeshua is our Eternal High Priest. He is also the once and for all sacrifice (not animals) we are also a living sacrifice by laying our lives down - our WILL). The Levitical Priesthood. We are a Royal Priesthood under the order of Melchizedek and Yeshua our High Priest. The Menorah - Yeshua and those in him are a light to the Nations. The Laver, we are baptised by the Holy Spirit not water (which did not cleanse ones conscience). The Incense - we in Yeshua can come boldly to the Throne of mercy and grace in Yeshua's Name to lay our petitions and seek forgiveness before our Father/Abba because we are reconciled through Yeshua to our Father. (The veil has been torn in half). The Shewbread - the living bread - the word of our Abba that we can feast on. (for we cannot live on bread alone but the living word of our Father/Abba.) The (Ark with the 10 Commandments inside) now engraved not on stone tablets but on our hearts/minds. Yeshua shed his blood to cleanse our Temples of our defilement from our sins, so that our Father God (Abba Yahweh's) by Hid Holy Spirit may with Yeshua (being ONE) may dwell in our midst, (mind and heart - doing HIS WILL), that we too may be ONE with Yeshua and our Father Yahweh. The Blood Covenant of Moses was Elevated to a better and Eternal One, as the one with Moses (physical) was ratified with animal blood whereas the better one Covenant (Eternal one) was ratified by the blood of Yeshua. Only the physical Sacrificial LAWS (of animals that died, Priest's and High Priests who died - Yeshua LIVES Eternally) and the Temple were temporary awaiting a better one, the Eternal One. Would like to hear from others too.
To add to the other reply that "the Sabbath was made for man" man in that verse means "mankind". Over in Ecclesiastes 12:13 it says "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man". Again, man (Strongs 0120) in this verse means all "mankind". The nation of Israel and all Gentiles.
Life, Hope & Truth so we save ourselves by doing the work? What did Jesus come for? Have you not heard that Jesus is our sabbath rest?
Beryl Ackermann a shadow of what was to come. You say that. And don’t believe Jesus fulfilled the law. Hmmm!
The word and spirit of the father is my Sabbath rest, not a human being. In fact the word says the Son of man is lord of the Sabbath. Meaning YOU as a mortal man can decide how and when to enter into the fathers rest. YOU are lord of the Sabbath. Not a another human being.
We are to OBEY the Sabbath day as it was a commandment from our Abba Yahweh Elohim. Man (NOT GOD or Yeshua/Jesus) changed it AFTER the death of Yeshua and the Apostles. Yeshua (Jesus) our Messiah would NEVER have broken any our Abba Yahweh's Laws as he said "I SPEAK what my Father TELLS me to speak and DO what my Father TELLS me to do". To say Yeshua (Jesus) broke His Fathers Commandments is a lie. Yeshua knew the significance of the Sabbath day. (As well as the Feasts as they all point to Yeshua, our Redemption, the Gift of Salvation and His Kingdom are celebrated as memorials and rehearsals (the fall Feasts). Referred to as a day of rest and also is reference to entering into our Abba Yahweh's Eternal REST. Our Father said about physical Israel because of their rebellion and disobeying His Sabbath Commandment, the Israelites and those that joined with them, would NOT enter our Abba Yah's eternal REST. Yeshua was resurrected (the firstborn of the dead and the living) before the close of the Sabbath Day so that he would ENTER into His Fathers Eternal Rest. This also applies to all who are followers of Yeshua. He lives forever (Eternal Life) and so will his followers. It was not on Sunday morning or after midnight). Abba Yahweh's Calender time is from 6 pm to 6 pm the next day. Our Abba does not follow a pagan calendar or its times. His dates are followed by the New Moon. (Changed first by the Julian Calendar and then the Georgian one). The Sabbath Day is our Abbas (Father) SIGN/MARK Stamp (Tav) between Him and his people in His Kingdom. (His signature - pretty much like a passport - and obeying His Constitution for His Kingdom not this World - as Yeshua said "My Kingdom is NOT of this pagan world, which he will set up on his return). Those who do not have HIS MARK (following His Commandments) have the "mark of the beast of this world". Its not about a chip or other, its about our FAITH and OBEDIENCE in and to our Messiah Yeshua and our Abba/Father Yahweh Elohim. Man cannot remove what is engraved in our hearts (minds). They may kill the body, but not our souls which are held in the palm of our Abba/Father's hands. They will use fear or reason to persuade you. (Do or die, or do and I will reward you). Hold fast to your faith and continue to be obedient. Our Abba Yahweh will give you the strength of His Holy Spirit to stand. May our Abba Yahweh favor you with all the glorious riches in Yeshua our Messiah. In his Blessed Name we pray.
