I ended up doing this mod. The only thing I’ve noticed that I don’t like is you can’t really clear the whole line of air if it’s an initial startup. If I can sometimes I will hook up to a hose and run that for a bit first then hookup to the barrel.
would this be big enough for a water tank in the case of a soft wash system with a proportioner? in the sense that I would have 1 drum with SH and one with Water?
I’m assuming you want 1” or 1.5” for more flow. But if it’s ending up at the 3/4” pressure washer then does a couple feet of hose or pvc make a difference? My Home Depot only had 3/4 in uniseal with 3/4 female threded on both sides so got me thinking.
I'd like to try a buffer tank for my 2.5gpm washer. I've done jobs before and it's aggravating when the homeowner flushes the toilet. Do you think if I had a 50 gal. buffer tank elevated about 2ft. higher than the washer that it would give me enough flow? I'm not sure how to make it work
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Jason - where is the trailer build play list?
Cool!! I used a bulkhead fitting wish I saw this earlier
Jason what size uniseal and pvc pipe are you using?
So can you go direct to the pressure washer with a hose from that?
Belt driven I've heard some people having problems with the direct drive

Does the $6 kit on amazon include the pipe, drill bit, and everything else???
no just the seal
Thanks J

you dint finish showing how's its done
Could you just lay the tank on the side and just plumb the PVC to the threaded opening where the cap went?
exactly what I am gonna do...my barrel has a regular hose hook up on bottom
I have a barrel and I’m ready to hook up to pressure washer and later when I get another one hook it up for waterfed. Would I be ok using just a 3/4”

Those small direct drive pressure washers dont pull a vacuum
The elevation should create head pressure which would provide enough positive pressure for a 2.5 gpm machine
can you use a bulk head tank fitting for the 55gallon drum
Sure
Whats the size is the uniseal
how do you connect a hose to the pvc pipe
u have to get hose fixture
👍🏻
