It’s so interesting to see how these previously covered exhibits have changed in just a few years, really hope I can visit this exhibit before all the hard to find animals there are gone
I went to the zoo today, and I saw in the Night Hunters that the Pallas's cats now have three enclosures for them and one of them is where the clouded leopard was (even though Pallas's cats prefer the mountains to the rainforests). I hope they add another clouded leopard someday. Also, I hope they add another caracal in where one of the ringtails live. I also saw they got another fishing cat in the same exhibit these cats lived in since the Cat House's opening.
I love the concept of a nocturnal house. I live in San Diego & shockingly, we don’t have a night exhibit at our “world-famous” zoo. Or at the second zoo, the Safari Park. The summer hours til 10 pm is kind of it. There’s a row of mini reptile/amphib. “houses” by the Galápagos tortoises, if that even counts. More like one-room studios. But they’re cool. Lol, & they used to have this creepy, dark kiwi building. As if kiwis spend their entire lives in the dark...I know they’re weird nocturnal birds but this was strange. Doubt it’s still there. There were NO lights at all, the kiwis never appeared and it was weird and dangerous. Haha. Most nocturnal exhibits seem to feature some lighting, but dimmed. And some of the animals have different lighting needs…This was legit pitch black with some reptile black lighting or something for the birds. Not sure they ever got a day cycle. You had to feel against the wall to get out!!
If you ever get the chance to come back down, the Memphis Zoo has a great nocturnal exhibit called Creatures of the Night, containing the only bear cuscus on exhibit in the U.S. and he is loads of fun.
Amazing collection of small carnivores - would love to see a ring-tailed cat...although I caught a fleeting glimpse at Burger's zoo in the Netherlands once
Great video! I'm from England but am a zoo fantatic and would love to visit the US to check out some of your zoos! Shall have to live through your videos for the time being 🥰 Thanks for the awesome content!
While I'm stoked to see you are doing update videos on some exhibits out there I have to say I'm a little disappointed that the original upload of the video seems to be no longer available. I wanted to go back and check that one out again after watching this one to see all the faces that had changed since then.
@@ZooTours Oh! Well thats what I get for not looking harder. I just went back to the video list on your channel and saw it wasn't there anymore. Thank you for taking the time to point that out to me. I really enjoy your content by the way!
At 9:47 you said it might be the last time we might see them inside is that at the cincatti because Cleveland has them inside and you said you were redoing that tour
Might is the key word there, as seeing a lot of the animals in the Rain Forest isn't guaranteed. BUT I was more so throwing shade at Cincy for keeping it in such a poor habitat😅
To date, in 2010 I visited Cincinnati zoo for the first time. The cat house is still in my top five exhibits for the sheer diversity of small carnivores that may never be seen again in America. While the big cats had no place inside I see no reason why it couldn’t remain as a small cat house. The night hunters is a great nocturnal house but pales in comparison to the cat house.
Yeah. The one at the Henry Doorly Zoo is great too. It's the largest one in the world. More zoos should have nocturnal exhibits like the Henry Doorly Zoo and the Cincinnati Zoo have.
While I enjoy the new exhibits and work in the Cincinnati Zoo, part of me also really misses a lot of the old ones that were removed and shuffled for it. I think only Wings was one that I didn't have that with...and my first real experience with it was when they removed the old Aquarium for Manatee Springs.
I was just a baby when the renovated the birdhouse for Wings of the World. I don't remember it very well. But I never understood why they took the aquarium to make an exhibit about the wildlife of another state. I remember seeing mountain lions, jaguars and snow leopards in the old cat house and thinking those exhibits were WAY to small for them. I wish they would get jaguars again someday.
@@misspinkpunkykat Yeah, the old aquarium was a fun way to get out of the heat...unlike half of the crocodilian side of the florida building...and it always reminds me of when they'd first gotten their white tigers, and now have that area with a single overlook for a white lion that seems depressed...I used to always eat at the LaRosas there and watch the tigers... A lot of the dark houses at the zoo are now something that makes me wonder how they can keep them that dark. Every time I've been there since they redid them I always see someone trip or nearly trip.
Swell! Try visiting the Woodland Park Zoo soon cause' they recently welcomed Taj & the Indian Rhinoceros & his mate to the former elephant enclosure a few years ago. Thundering Pachyrhinosaurus!🦏🦏 Also, don't you mean Zoo Tours Episode 99!
How do you get photos and videos in dark areas?, as I live near London Zoo in the UK and they have a nocturnal area with Beaver Rats (the only individual in the UK) and I would love to get a photo of it
My sister can say she's interacted with a clouded leopard, although she didn't actually notice. We were at Zoo Atlanta in 2016, and the leopard pounced at her twice while she had her back to the glass, haha. That was really cool to see, definitely one of my favorite zoo memories.

If you ever get the chance to come back down, the Memphis Zoo has a great nocturnal exhibit called Creatures of the Night, containing the only bear cuscus on exhibit in the U.S. and he is loads of fun.
Awesome redo of this exhibit. I really find this exhibit very interesting and very cool. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much!
Out of curiosity, are there any other AZA Zoos that you’ve seen Genets at? They’re so cool!!
Now I'm dead set to visit this zoo some day! So many rare and beautiful animals!!
Zach, my son loves your videos. He is 5 and we live in Brazil.
So excited to hopefully go here for the first time this week!
It was an amazing exhibit!
Amazing collection of small carnivores - would love to see a ring-tailed cat...although I caught a fleeting glimpse at Burger's zoo in the Netherlands once
Zak, did you watch the video of the new elephant area groundbreaking area? In the video there is a ton of new concept art. IT'S AMAZING!
Zoo Tours will you guys be going to one of the most amazing zoos in the world, the Australia Zoo in Beerwah?
6:40 im pretty sure the majority of people here know them cause of minecraft.
Great video! I'm from England but am a zoo fantatic and would love to visit the US to check out some of your zoos! Shall have to live through your videos for the time being 🥰 Thanks for the awesome content!
Awesome episode! Keep up the great work!
While I'm stoked to see you are doing update videos on some exhibits out there I have to say I'm a little disappointed that the original upload of the video seems to be no longer available. I wanted to go back and check that one out again after watching this one to see all the faces that had changed since then.
Link to the video is in the description
@@ZooTours Oh! Well thats what I get for not looking harder. I just went back to the video list on your channel and saw it wasn't there anymore. Thank you for taking the time to point that out to me. I really enjoy your content by the way!
It would be awesome if you were to do the Calgary zoo or Toronto zoo!!!
No enough zoos have a nocturnal house.
Yeah. The one at the Henry Doorly Zoo is great too. It's the largest one in the world. More zoos should have nocturnal exhibits like the Henry Doorly Zoo and the Cincinnati Zoo have.
For any fellow europeans, a bear cat is the american way of saying binturong
Thundering Pachyrhinosaurus!🦏🦏
Also, don't you mean Zoo Tours Episode 99!
This is a redo of Episode 10
Oh, I see! So you're redoing on which new animals they now have & which ones you haven't seen! Now I get it! Cheese & Proterosuchus!🐗
@@ZooTours So which zoo next are you gonna visit for your 99th episode sooner or later?
99 is revealed in my TH-cam Story:)
1K. your welcome
How do you get photos and videos in dark areas?, as I live near London Zoo in the UK and they have a nocturnal area with Beaver Rats (the only individual in the UK) and I would love to get a photo of it
Fennec fox is my fav animal
1:00 did you do something with the lighting to make it brighter or does the zoo do that itself?
The lights are on for early admission members. Or at least they used to, now the lights are on at random times in the morning.
@@ZooTours ok, thank you
Dove si possono trovare gli happy hippo?
What happened to Josie the caracal and the Everglades rat snake
Died
Friend shaped. Friend shaped. Friend shaped. Friend shaped.
I wonder why they had the exhibit lights on? Were they feeding the animals at that time you filmed? Or was this early in the morning?
The lights are on for members from 9AM to 10AM. I cut out the explanation in the video because they're on a little after 10 sometimes.
My sister can say she's interacted with a clouded leopard, although she didn't actually notice. We were at Zoo Atlanta in 2016, and the leopard pounced at her twice while she had her back to the glass, haha. That was really cool to see, definitely one of my favorite zoo memories.
it has.. But I Live HOURS AWAY In NY :/
👍👍👍🤗
These poor critters look like they're in very tiny exhibit spaces. The enclosures look very 1940's in size.

These exhibits are so retrograde. Looks like the the 1970s. Depressing.
