Josh Brolin is always great when he’s on snl too. Even if the sketch isn’t great through complete tyranny of will and full commitment to the bit it will become funny. Very impressive stuff
His recent performance in the Shrimp Tower sketch was the dumbest, most hilarious thing I'd seen in a while, up until the Beavis and Butthead sketch that killed Heidi Gardner.
Josh Brolin has played so many tough-guy roles that it's easy to forget that he was a surfer-kid growing up, until you hear him speak in interviews, and then it's, "Oh yeah, total surfer kid."
Big fan of him and his hair in the Coen Brothers comedy, Hail Caesar. He also stars in a true story about Firefighters, which doesn't mess around. Only The Brave.
I guess I should not be surprised that he seems to be so much different than he is in the movies....but he is totally. Makes me think he must be a hell of an actor. I know I sure loved him in Only the Brave and in Outer Range......
I started watching Outer Range because of Josh Brolin and Lily Taylor and Imogen Poots-great actors-but I'm generally turned off by both Sci fi and westerns... Outer Range is unlike anything I've ever seen on screen before. Josh Brolin and Imogen Poots are SO good, so compelling, as are all the actors-and the story is so... Weird. I felt like I felt when I first watched "Twin Peaks"-everything is so meticulous and strange and beautiful, but with this underlying terror not at the strange weird stuff happening-but at the inevitable flaws and failings and hubris of human beings. It's special. It might be the best work Josh Brolin has done. Sorry that's so long! ❤
Thrashin’ the skateboard movie, I watched religiously every day for years here in Norway, skateboards where illegal here. All my friends put that movie on as soon as we came home from school.
It’s interesting to me how a lot of actors are nervous to be on these talk shows, or interviews of any kind, because they are afraid of being judged (not for the character they may have just played, but for them personally). Yet, most of us prefer to see them as they are, as humans beings. It definitely breaks down the wall of ‘need’ to be perfect. You play characters well, or you don’t. We judge that. Who you are as a person… I personally find interesting as well. The human behind the actor. Less idolization, and more appreciation for their skill in acting.

Josh Bro is liked because he's himself and natural without pretense. He looks like he could have stepped right out of 1950's office spaces or wild west cattle driver. None of the plastic appearance and behavior too common. In too many cases the agents, sponsors and social media pressure brings out guests who have a stress about performing for 'the base'. Like Trump. Extreme example but Trump would be in RuPaul drag if he ever revealed his true nature. And I'm being very serious.
