  • Arnold talks about being the Governor during the 2007 writers’ strike, how he almost said his famous “I’ll be back” line differently in the movie, taking accent removal lessons, Trump listing his weight at 215 lbs, why he’s still a proud Republican, his new book Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life, working as a bricklayer in LA, filling in neighborhood potholes himself, his daughter Katherine having another baby, getting a pet pig, and being a strict dad.

Arnie wants people to understand that none of us is truly "self made" when we succeed; he stresses the importance of giving credit to the many people along the way who support a person's success.

He believes in hard work, taking ownership of what we're responsible for, and working together despite our differences -- and sometimes even leveraging those differences -- for the greater good. He's the kind of role model modern American men can look to and emulate to be good people. All this Alpha Male stuff on the internet today, all the ways we attack each other... he's right. We have to work together. We have to look out for the people as well as the systems that support us. We need balance.

@@br8071I hear you. And that's what I used to think but people make mistakes and he has taken responsibility for that. I watched his biography ARNOLD on Netflix. I was very surprised how much I liked it. This guy is the poster person for the American Dream. I plan on buying his book. Should be good.

If I had to choose only one statement out of all the valuable lessons my father taught me when I was growing up, it would be " ...the lessons that sting the most stick the best..." I told both of my sons the same thing when they were little boys. They are both respectable men today. The only person on this planet who could possibly be more proud of them would be my father, my hero... I love you pop, RIP... I'll never stop missing you, I believe in my heart, we will see each other again. And you can introduce me to your father and he can introduce me to his father and so on. I just hope I didn't disappoint them too much...

I love his idea of American being more cooperative than competitive. It's true that they often lose sight that both sides are American and want what they deem best for the country. Making people so divided only distracts people from what really matters.
    He's a pretty cool guy.
