Hey, Vietnamese here! Glad that you enjoyed our food 😊 The fact that you keep saying "chicken egg" when it clearly was a duck egg is hillarious =)))) At 4:05 it is basically a mix of soy sauce, sugar, lime and garlic, reduced on a pan to thicken. Some put oyster sauce in as well but that's basically it. It's super easy to make and goes well with banh mi and grilled meat. And for 52k VND I feel like it was a bit expensive, depends on the city though. 13:45 yup it is pork 18:43 it is soy sauce, and I dont think you are supposed to put it in 😂 but if it works it works 20:22 I can hear my ansector screams 😂 never thought of making a trung vit lon sandwich in my life :)))) yup because fertilized eggs have a smell to them so they have to go with herb ("rau răm" - Vietnamese corriander) to balance the smell out. You can try making "trứng cút lộn xào me" (fertilized quail egg stir fried with tamarind), a very common snack dish. here is some recommendation for hardcore levels: "bún đậu mắm tôm" (found in Hanoi), "huyết chưng" (steamed blood, found in China towns), "bún mắm" (found in southwest of VN), "thắng cố" (northwest VN) yup great video as always, thank you for spreading our Vietnamese cuisines to the world ❤
i’m also vietnamese (only half but hey, it gets the job done), and i agree that some of the prices in here are a bit steep. to americans, it sounds like an amazing deal, but once you really get used to the vietnamese economy and understand the pricing, you realize that you just got ripped off 😂
As a Vietnamese, none of these are terrifying to me at all 😅We need to get you try dishes with "mam tom", then we can certify you becoming too comfortable and an expert with Vietnamese cuisine.
Honestly, up to level 3, you'll find very similar comfort foods here in the southern united states 😅 I've had chicken feet. Shit, they pickle pigs feet down here too! All of these are pretty normal here. I haven't gotten past 3 yet, so we'll see how many similarities there will be 😊
Imma be honest, I tap out at level 5. The chicken feet don't bother me at all and the snail doesn't sound fun to eat but I would still try it. However, eating the entire chicken, bones and all, is too much. Big respect to you for trying that.
Definitly agree with you, i wouldent be able to handle the tought of eating like a duck baby and I think the diffrent textures would be too much for me as well. Much respect for the ones willing to try it tho
@@fallencyano9015 well, first of all, the feathers are only in really old eggs, normal ones (those you should be eating) dont have any feathers and the actual chicken part is really small

I'm Slavic, and I actually ate chicken feet as a child, but it's not something we normally eat here. What we do is this solidified broth that we eat cold (also grosses some people out, btw). We used chicken feet as a base; I ate the meat that was left after boiling them... For whatever reason.

when i went to vietnam the food was so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For me the most terrifying challenge is the bee cocoons at 0:02, since I found out I was allergic to it the hard way.
The snail soup was definitely 5
Level 3 was my maximum… but I guess it’s all coming down to what we grew up eating, what tastes familiar
Hey I grew up eating mostly western foods (pizza burgers spag bol ,shit like that) and I got to level 4. The egg was to much
You should make a French toast grilled cheese
Hey Chef Tyler I had escargot before which is a French snail dish it's really tasty you should try it
the hair is FLAVOR bro

I'd eat chicken feet before ever trying snail.
